  1. Line-up for the opening Bundesliga meeting in Neuenknick -www.sc-neuenknick.de SC Neuenknick 1 Kevin Wölbert 2 Adam Skornicki (PL) 3 Dominik Möller 4 Rafal Okoniewski (PL) U21 Tobias Busch U19 Max Dilger MSC Brokstedt 5 Mathias Kröger 6 Joonas Kylmäkorpi (FIN) 7 Nicolai Klindt (DK) 8 Tobias Kroner U21 Sönke Petersen U19 Ramon Stanek MSC Olching 9 Martin Smolinski 10 Manuel Hauzinger (AUT) 11 Frank Facher 12 Hans Jörg Müller U21 Manfred Betz U19 Sebastian Kapser MSC Diedenbergen 13 Peter Karlsson (SWE) 14 Grzegorz Walasek (PL) 15 Ronny Weis 16 Thomas Stange U21 Dennis Wienke U19 René Deddens A good looking line-up with reigning champs Olching looking the weakest side.Diedenbergen have two top riders in Walasek and PK.Great to see him back in the Bundesliga after a few years break.Just a question of how much back-up those two will get.Stange can be very good, but is injury prone and young René Deddens is also a good prospect. But home side Neuenknick have a very strong line-up with the exceprtion of Möller.Dilger is likeyl to be unbeaten in the U19s and German U21 champ Tobi Busch will only be troubled by Sönke Petersen as far as i can see in the U21s.Brokstedt look very solid and should be challenging for the win.Be interesting to see how Tobi Kroner and Smoli fare against the top foreigners. And also if Adam Skornicki can continue his good early form My prediction: 1.Neuenknick 2.Brokstedt 3.Diedenbergen 4.Olching Edit:Meeting cancelled due to weather
  2. Interesting news about a possible test match.I was wondering,as last year in Poland they held the 4tt with Sweden,Denmark,Poland and Oz.Was hoping they would do that again, but a test match with Oz is possibly better. Will have to book the week off work for this
  3. The season opener in Germany with this new competition from the UEM.Line-up fom the Bundesliga site Denmark 1. Patrick Hougaard 2. Klaus Jakobsen 3. Peter Juul Larsen 4. Patrick Nørgaard 17. Simon Nielsen TM: Jan Stæchmann Croatia 5. Nikola Martinec 6. Renato Cvetko 7. Nikola Pigac 8. Andrej Kežman 18. Jurica Pavlic Germany 9. Kevin Wölbert 10. Max Dilger 11. Erik Pudel 12. Frank Facher 19. Sönke Petersen France 13. Theo di Palma 14. Maxime Mazeau 15. Benoit Lorenzon 16. n/a 20. n/a France haven't named their team as of yet.If and when they do i don't imagine they will trouble the leaders.Could be a good battle between the other teams.Denmark a bit weakened by the retirement of Jonas Raun could possibly be pipped by Germany.Nørgaard is maybe a weak link and Simon Nielsen whilst having potential might still be a bit inexperienced, although he won the junior event at the first meeting in Güstrow last year.Croatia have potentially the meetings top scorer in Pavlic. How much back up he will get from the others maybe Tomaz can tell us.But he did say Croatias "other" big talent,Dino Kovacic is too young for this competition, sadly Edit: from the MC Güstrow site States that there remains a question mark against the French team. But if they can't put out a full team, the places will be filled with German riders and the meeting will go ahead as planned.Obviously only the other 3 teams will be properly in the competition.Found 3 names for the French team on a Russian site!!!
  4. No.I only rented a lens for thursday. My budget couldn't stretch to a weekend as well(should have seen me.I had a bit of card and a rubber band as a lens shade and a plastic bag to protect the camera against the rain. Not like my profi colleagues ).Not the way my friends were drinking
  5. One of the photogrphers nearly had his lights put out for acting like a tabloid photographer World Championship,Berlin fotos
  6. I'll second the first bit(and everyone else i bumped into over the weekend) and Bugger!!!!!! To the second bit Nice one
  7. There is an article in this months Bahnsport about Lublin having debts of around €170,000!!! And 70% of that was owed to their riders
  8. Thanks Ian. Mark said he would be there saturday at least. Not sure if he was staying sunday as well.Had a good chat with him and his mechanic. Not sure if he was happy with his performance, but he was getting stuck in and was certainly competetive. Was a good meeting.Obviously Bauer was easily the winner, but for the other rostrum places there was keen competition. Was lucky with the wind as it had been blowing the bales across the track all day but eased up just before the meeting or that could have caused a problem.Should be better for the weekend although still a bit wet

  10. And for those that can't make Berlin but have access to German channels RBB
  11. I was of the opinion that it was.Think i read it in an interview with Johnno or Davey Watt.Would be wrong if the goalposts have been moved. But i am not surprised about this.
  12. Couple of clips from Assen on youtube plus a stylish short on Tuinstra Tuinstra
  13. The hard thing to tell is how often some of the riders will be available. And then how will the grade D riders go. I do agree,i think it will be between Holsted and Slangerup. Can't see Holstebro finishing that high up nor Esbjerg that low. My prediction Slangerup Holsted Esbjerg Fjelsted Grindsted Outrup Brovst Holstebro
  14. Anything is possible, but we heard this a few years back now.It seemed the Scandinavians looked at the 250's and they were not suitable for their set-up.Plus the Poles seem to have gone the 80cc way and now the Russian club,Togliatti have set up a training school and bought 50 80cc bikes for their kids.
  15. Only went there once.Back in 75.I think it was the year Street was starting out with the 4 valve.Anyway Street and Crump Herne,Gresham even Tom Owen maybe gave the Dons a right thumping.Briggo and Tommy Jansson just didn't get into it.Don't really remember much apart from it seemed a dark and cold place.Maybe the feeling was exagerated because the supporters club had stopped off on the way for the Oxford -Coventry meeting in the afternoon which from memory was a total contrast.Plus it doesn't matter if you watch another team get thumped.Wimbledon always seemed to take a beating away from Plough Lane back then
  16. Well only a week until the German Championship and here is the line-up Start-Nr. Fahrer Land 1 Bauer, Günther D 2 Tschatschin, Dmitri D 3 Kreklau, Marian D 4 Stellingwerf, René NL 5 Niedermaier, Max D 6 Uzzel, Mark GB 7 Roth, Andreas D 8 Weber, Johann D 9 Mayerbüchler, Franz D 10 Gegenbauer, Sebastian D 11 Kirchner, Christoph D 12 Wieser, Andreas D 13 Pletschacher, Stefan D 14 Fürst, Florian-Klaus D 15 Gartmann, Simon CH 16 Madar, Peter D 17 Verhoef, René NL 18 Schwaiger, Mario A http://www.eisspeedway-berlin.de/
  17. And the final squad Holstebro A-grade B.Pedersen M.Ferjan(Slo/H) B-grade Jan Graversen Leon Madsen Mathias Schultz(D) Rune Sola (N) Tomasz Bajerski(PL) C-grade K.Arendt R.Fleger(PL)? D-grade T.Sørensen C.Nedermark from DSL site
  18. There was a Steve Collins riding second halfs at New Cross back in 1963.Wonder if this is the same rider who was doing second halfs at Wimbledon in the 70s?
  19. And a pic Martin Yeates in full flow for the Wildcats here
  20. Brovst squad taken from Holsted site Rafal Dobrucki(PL) Robert Kosciecha(PL) Ulrich Østergaard Kauko Niemenen(Fin) Jacek Rempala(PL) Marcin Rempala(PL) Robert Mikolajszak(PL) Lars Hansen Patrick Nørgaard Jens Trasborg Mike Ebæk
  21. I agree.Maybe like you say they are looking at something bigger than a GP qualifier or a Junior World Final and going for the big one
  22. Oh yeah.I thought Krasnogorsk was one of the qualis.Didn't notice we are back to 4 GPs.Which is good Wonder if they are still looking for somewhere to stage the team championship
  23. Daugavpils and Miskolc are 2 tracks that always seem to get a few meetings each year.FIM & UEM meetings. Gorican is an obvious track for these meetings.Just surprised that Togliatti and their new stadium haven't got a big meeting
