  1. Found the results for the German Championship, because a meeting from Frankfurt 1995 popped up on my FB timeline. Shows how the numbers have dropped over the years. First few years they could get a full line up of German riders http://www.speedway-yesterday.de/html/eisspeedway-dm.html Not great quality, but interesting anyway
  2. Well hopefully.... ᴄᴀʟᴇɴᴅᴀʀ 12 June: Qualifying Round, Manchester 12 June: Qualifying Round, Riga 12 June: Qualifying Round, Güstrow 04 September: Final, Stralsund 25 September: Final, Krosno 01 October: Final, Pardubice
  3. Great bit of research Christian. Thanks for that
  4. Yes there was one from Güstrow that rode into the 21C at Assen. and Berlin. Beardy guy. Can picture him, but the name escapes me
  5. On a couple of other points there was a Mongolian rider I think ? And I just wondered what happened to East German riders? Sure they had representation in the early world championships. And would have thought they would have been perfect for racing in Russia. Wonder why they disappeared of the scene. Political or lack of a track ?
  6. Can't understand it, so it is difficult to really get into. But interesting all the same. Few mentions of Briggo in there which I could understand. Think that is also Starostin at times, talking about Gab. Guess as they both rode at Ufa they knew each other
  7. Just out of interest, because maybe I am sceptical, but has anyone made a comeback after a 3, 4 or 5 year break and been a success ? I could quite well imagine Crump doing it to some extent. Not going to be the rider he was, but in the UK could do well
  8. And he has a group of East European blondes in tow for start tart jobs
  9. Seems 3 matches have been moved from Sydney now. Plus I think Brisbane went into lockdown after one woman was found to have the UK variant of Covid !!!
  10. Seemed like a much better start than yesterday
  11. Must admit I was impressed with all the people wearing masks. And good that the nasty looking crash turned out to be not as bad as it looked at first
  12. Bit of a disappointment this.....follow the leader mostly. Hope tomorrows meeting will be better. Only watching because it is raining outside or I would have done something else by now
  13. Is a pity. I was just watching a programme on Berlin a few days ago and there are some lovely places still to visit that I never knew about. Also that the track is in one of the poshest areas of the city. We will have that pint some day son mate. Probably before Bauer gets his meeting
  14. As I said ages ago I can't see ice speedway happening in west Europe. Inzell has bitten the dust and now it looks like Berlin will too. Decision to be made https://www.speedweek.com/eisspeedwaygp/news/169860/Eisspeedway-GP-Berlin-Ohne-Zuschauer-droht-Absage.html?utm=socialshare&fbclid=IwAR1npIjqLRF-gIITIP_nies_htCCezmaXEu3DCG5pGF_Q60XH_J37LML480
  15. I’m guessing this Danny May is some relation to the young rider Liam May ?
  16. Yes that is all I saw. So same as this year just not so long. Can’t see any difference. Wasn’t it down to existing contracts ?
  17. I don’t understand what is new. This was decided a year ago and Speedweek reported back then and everything was ok for this year, so why not next ? All that has happened surely is the ban carries on Last years report https://www.speedweek.com/speedwaygp/news/152894/Sperre-fuer-Russland-Was-aus-den-Grands-Prix-wird.html
  18. Plus the trails you see when a plane flies over head.... they are chemical trails and sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public !!!
  19. I fear it is just a refection of the shrinking ice speedway world. We have over the last decade seen a continual reduction of Russian riders, in theory to help the west. But all it has done is make the GP series weaker and weaker. We will this season probably end up with what is basically a series no stronger than the European Final
  20. Germany and Holland!!!! And no doubt Bauer has the Italian spot.....hmmm. So basically 4 Germans
  21. You do constantly need top up vaccinations for some diseases Rabies for instance requires one every 2 years at most if you work in a job where it is considered a danger Typhoid requires a top up every 2-5 years according to which vaccine you have Whooping Cough requires a top up every 10 years if you work with young infants Whereas if you have the MMR vaccine it is considered to be life time protection
