Britain don't really enter UEM competitions.Last year Nicki Glanz did,but he was an excetion,i think -

From Denmark,Poland,Russia,Sweden.......where the riders come from anyway
-
All names from the past now(as far as i remember) ,apart as you mention Demmel.Hertrich packed up a few years back, then said he would comeback(twice i think),but don't think anything ever came of it.He was helping out last year at one of the Bavarian clubs(Landshut, maybe).Don't think i have seen Genz since ~2005

Would be good to meet up with you Anders.I am looking forward to the Fjelsted meeting.See what these young Swedes are like I have been saying for a few years on here,Kevin is one to watch. But even he admited after a great start last season,he went backwards.Although he did qualify for both the U19 final and the World U21 final.

Result of yesterdays German U21 quali round(North)from Güstrow 1. Sönke Petersen 15 2. Tobias Busch, 14. 3. Erik Pudel, 13. 4. Robert Baumann, 11. 5. Ramon Stanek, 10. 6. René Deddens, 9. 7. Denis Wienke, 7. 8. Arne Ledwig, 7. 9. Marcel Kalms, 7. 10. Sergej Malyschew, 7. 11. Fritz Riemer, 5. 12. Toni Brosowski, 4. 13. Domingo Krecklow, 4. 14. Danny Maaßen, 3. 15. Nils Hesse, 2. 16. Marco Gaschka, 1. 17. Clemens Sommer, 1. 18. Henk Koonstra, 0. Maximum from Sönke Petersen, who really seems to be in form this year. Also young René Deddens had 3 heat wins and two disqualifications. But maybe after a few years of the same riders at the top, there is another youngster coming through.Sometimes hard to believe that Sönke and Kevin Wölbert are still in the U19 category as they were impressive in the U21 qualis way back in 2004!!Some of these guys seem to have been around for ever
-
Yes really amazing.I saw a couple of photo early yesterday and just assumed they were from another(bigger) meeting.I wonder if Stralsund will even get 2,000 for the Final? I hope they get a good crowd,as i am sure the line-up will be fantastic

Steven Andersen-Denmark Dave Gifford-Born in England, but guess naturalised NZ

Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
iris123 replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Is that a good guess?Leaving out Tomicek or Bjerre? Not sure about the sweden team either with Max -
Who are the others then?Bridger + 2

The hosting nation gets a wildcard if one of their riders doesn't make it.Had a look and Carpanese rode in the Terenzano final having been given a wildcard. This is quite common in competitions that the host nation are assured a rider in the final.
-
I would imagine CZ are assured of a rider in the Final,if one doesn't make it through the quali's.That was the case in Wiener Neustadt when Wallner was given a place in the Final, after getting "eliminated" in the previous round
-
Oh right.Thanks. Anyone know who the 2 Brits are in the Güstrow quali? I guess it is 6 riders from the 5 quali's plus two seeded riders
-
And at Norden the same day Max Dilger(D) Robert Kasprzak(PL) Mattia Tadiello(I) Richard Speiser(D) Adam Vandirek(CZ) Jannick de Jong(NL) Patrick Hougaard(DK) Grant Tregoning(NZ) Alex Marcucci(US) Denis Wienke(D) Henry van der Steen(NL) Hynek Stichauer(CZ) Adam Kajoch(PL) Ricky Wells(US) Jozsef Tabaka(H) Jade Mudgway(NZ) res: Sönke Petersen(D) Kristian Drossmann(D) Expect a good showing from Hougaard and possibly Kajoch. Some of these riders are unknown to me.Will be interesting to see how the NZ riders fare. And how Ricky Wells goes.Max Dilger could possibly win the meeting,if he rides at his best.Imo,Sönke Petersen is far better than Denis Wienke and being more local than Berliner Wienke might have helped the crowd numbers if he was in the line-up.Still,looking forward to it and hope the weather stays like it has been this week
-
Hope Kevin makes it through. At least having ridden for ZG for a couple of years he should be well prepared.Tough meeting though.Holder looks favourite, but hope Adam makes it through as well.Would say it is a much better line-up than Norden, though i am looking forward to seeing Ricky Wells

There is one reason.Nicki Pedersen

Help! This Weekends Polish Fixtures
iris123 replied to Blazeaway's topic in International World of Speedway
Don't take this as 100% confirmation, but i have heard from someone close to Kevin Wölbert that he will be riding in Gniezno in this meeting. He will be in Balakovo tomorrow for the European U19 quali then heads to Gniezno after. As long as nothing untoward happens.Should be a treat for you to see the best young German rider in action Fingers crossed that he makes it through tomorrows meeting.A round trip of over 6,000km Oh,and hope you all have a great time -
Why?I thought Theo made a comeback this week.Is he injured again?
-
Or the japanese player Hideyuki Ujiie
-
Yes it did.But in typical German style Adam wasn't there. The Polish rider was Nowacyk a team mate of Adams(or he was last year at least at Poznan) MoS
