Results from yesterdays Bundesliga meeting in Diedenbergen Diedenbergen Just to point out that they do have Sekulas nationality for the Bundesliga wrong. He doesn't ride as a Pole, rather as German.Same as Pawel Hlib.No team is allowed more than 2 foreign riders

Well i won't be here for much longer Found this thread.Tony Clarke. But i am sure there was a more in depth discussion about this on another thread.Haven't got the time now to search it out
-
Think this has been discussed at least once.If you do a search i'm sure it will come up.Wasn't it Tony Clarkes brother as well?
-
Well i hope so Probably won't though

Olchings win at home puts them top of the Bundesliga Results and table here On the face of it another disappointing score from Kevin Wölbert.Plus a pretty poor score from a foreigner in David Howe + Dryml, left Neuenknick and Pfaffenhofen way behind

"british Fans A Disgrace"
iris123 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes garf,i didn't mean to put the other riders down in any way with their contribution to the team effort. The Danish fans are very patriotic,so of course they go to support the team as a whole. But just like no-one in Poland can really match Gollobs popularity, the same goes with Nicki and Denmark. But everyone including Stekkers and even Erik(i think he was helping out with advice)played their part in a great win Photos here -

Bums on seats is what it is all about.I would think in large part it was because of Nicki that 18,000 people went to a speedway meeting in what had been terrible weather most of the day. And i spoke briefly to Ove Fundin and he talked along similar lines. He said "I used to like riding at Wimbledon, but the fans there didn't like me".Same thing though. The fans used to flock to see Ove's clashes with Ronnie Moore -
You seem to have a lot of time on your hands at the mo!I guess you've got the missus putting the spikes in your tyres then? Anyway,is there lany likelyhood of changes being made to any teams?.David Ruud was there yesterday.Maybe Ruud in for Nermark?.I can't see him picking up many if any points against tougher opposition.Plus Kasprzak in for Hampel maybe?

What Do You Expect On Thursday
iris123 replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't know if it has been mentioned, but i thought (apart from Gb getting knocked out)that it was a good meeting. And the people i talked to all said the same. There is a lot of people who have been knocking Vojens when they have probably only seen one or two meetings. Also good to meet up with lots of people, but especially my 2 Swedish colleagues,Linda Andersson and Sandra Davidsson -
13:00-15:00 Vojens time.

What Do You Expect On Thursday
iris123 replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I expect Poland to win,Sweden to flop,we will get through by the skin of our teeth.Hope it is a wake up call to Bridger. He should be asking himself how a youngster from the PL gets in ahead of someone who a lot were saying a couple of years back is a "future World Champ".Basically it should be a wake up call to most of them.Like Tarabanko said if you want to play with the big boys you have to act professionally. Not go boozing it up,etc.............. I think that is what will happen......... -

Well i am having a bit of trouble with the guy at MA.Mick Poole told me to send some photos through, but i think they have some email security that bounces back mails with files attached.I have told the guy but so far got no response.Hopefully it gets sorted and they can have some photos of the riders to use. I have sent some to Cameron Heeps website and i gave a cd to Arthur Sissis' father.Any other websites or family are more than welcome to have some pics if they want. The guys(and all the familes who spent a lot of money and mechanics, etc) certainly did Australia proud -
I thought you might say that.Which is why i mentioned him. Great to hear Kai is still around. You can ask him about Wimbledon next time you see him.He is fondly remembered in London.Great to have some of these guys around to help the youngsters through.Just watching Erik Gundersen at the weekend and how much he helps the Danish guys is great.Sad though to see riders like Hans Nielsen and Tommy Knudsen in Skaerbaek and they have pretty well no interest in speedway these days
-
That is terrible news.I was hoping this would be the first time i get to see him live. Was hoping all teams turn up with their best riders.Crap planning. At least it seems certain(?) Tai will be there which is something of a treat

I did hear at the weekend Mr Teromaa was quite pessimistic about speedway in Finland.Mayb that was to do with the peformance of the Finnish youngsters in Denmark. But just like all the old guys, ask them about their old track. In his case Tampere and ....."Now that was a speedway track" Sadly on the subject of defunct tracks, both Teromaa and Mick Poole said how much they used to like riding at Wimbledon

When are the line-ups announced, more importantly?Or have they?

Gb Bikes And Tuners
iris123 replied to speedy den boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hit the nail on the head. How long have the GPs been going?.How long has Olsen been the chief? Everyone can blame him for preparing the track to Danish requirements. But surely by now one or two of our guys might have got used to the needs of an Olsen prepared track? Guess not You have to ask why they were outgunned at home by a poor Swedish side.Forget the Danes we ain't in the same league -

I heard a story at the weekend that is quite relevant. A father of a top junior rider was selling the kids bike.Well he had sold it,but a father of one of his rivals heard and insisted he sell it to him instead.Eventually he agreed and the yguy stuck it straight in his van and went.Weeks later after the youngster had obviously ridden in a meeting the father came up all angry and said " You bugger! You've taken all the good bits off of this haven't you!".The guy had sold him the bike exactly as it was when his boy had been winning meetings on it. He told me another very similar story as well on the same topic, but i don't have the time nor the inclination to type it out
