  1. Doubt if you will get a connection to the Danish channel. They have been blocking it this year. But anyway a couple of them will be in english. Those with "(Ang)" means english Let's hope they work ok
  2. Darcy Ward rode at King's Lynn a couple of years back didn't he?The first time he came over for the YGT
  3. That is who i was thinking of.I seem to recall his toothy smile Thanks for the info both of you.Just have to keep my fingers crossed my bike is ok for that week
  4. Yes but that is Finland for you.A beer probably costs €4 or something
  5. He was talking about the develpoment of a new engine or something at the Jancarz memorial meeting.Think this is something that has been going on for quite a while. He did say he didn't want to use it in league meetings. But i wonder if it is diverting his attention somewhat.
  6. Any info on the Aussia boys? Is Alex the son of an ex rider ? Justin is one of the brothers just signed for Swindon isn't he?So has he been riding mostly 500cc or a smaller class? Cameron Heeps.Never heard of him as far as i know And Taylor Poole.Well he has been a good prospect for a while now. Looking forward to seeing them all and the new generation of Swedes.Plus i think the Russian, Loktaev has a fairly good reputation
  7. Full heat details from Brokstedt here

  9. Pretty much a perfect day.Great weather. The Stadium is absolutely fantastic(although someone i met said it had no soul).Something we could only dream about in Britain. The atmosphere despite what my Polish friend said was great, even though it wasn't as full as a league meeting. But then i only have non-Polish meetings to compare it to.Some of the racing was great even though it was hot and a bit dusty.Something to keep in ind when we hear complaints about hot weather making the track poor.Organisation in the stadium was also very good.Have to thank a few people at Stal Gorzow for helping me out. Also lucky to bump into Thomas Jonassons mechanic at a petrol station just as i was lost and asking for help He took me straight to the stadium and got me through the police road-blocks Only thing that spoilt the day was my bike packed up just past Berlin and had to get the German version of the AA to bring me back.So it was a bloody long day.And expensive Photos
  10. Why Zetters. Is he injured?I haven't seen any news about him
  11. Another fantastic looking line-up for Eddies Memorial meeting. Line-up taken from sportowefakty.Think Sullivan has pulled out because of the GP quali and Balinski is in 1. Jason Crump (Australia) 2. Krzysztof Kasprzak (Polska) 3. Rafał Dobrucki (Polska) 4. Peter Karlsson (Szwecja) 5. Rune Holta (Polska) 6. Leigh Adams (Australia) 7. Wiesław Jaguś (Polska) 8. Karol Ząbik (Polska) 9. David Ruud (Szwecja) 10. Paweł Hlib (Polska) 11. Magnus Zetterstroem (Szwecja) 12. Chris Harris (Wielka Brytania) 13. Janusz Kołodziej (Polska) 14. Nicki Pedersen (Dania) 15. Tomasz Gollob (Polska) 16. Ryan Sullivan (Australia) And i think i might mosey across country for this
  12. Maybe they were chanting pige, pige pige.Which is Danish for girl Calling him a sissy in other words...........maybe.Maybe not
  13. Maybe Norbold would dispute that Plech seemed to shine brightly for only a short period of time.Naturally imo he was never as good as Steady Eddie
  14. That's it.Thanks.I knew there was something a bit special about the guy
  15. For some reason Lex Milloy triggers a faint memory that he was famous of infamous for something or other. There must be a story to the guy that someone can remember.Sadly i can't
  16. I have it on good authority that she will also be at Cardiff.Might make Mateusz happy. But she definitely isn't Scandinavian
  17. I'm just going by the list i saw when they looked for my name.Just happened that my name was on the same list as the MotorBladet guys, and there seemed quite a few I#d guess they were the regular speedway guys and those blokes with the bloody big lenses were from the papers
  18. I can't answer with any real authority as i have never looked. But there is no specifically speedway related mag such as the Speedway Star nor even Speedwaysanomat. All i can say is that all the Danish photographers at the Danish GP seemed to be working for the DMU's magazine,MotorBladet. This isn't just speedway, but MotorX and other motorcycle sports in Denmark.I have never seen it on sale at a meeting MotorBladet Maybe one of the Danish guys or girls knows of something else. But Denmark isn't really like Britain. The scene is quite small really. Not a lot of souvenirs. The programmes are basic(scorecard and adverts.......lots of adverts! ).And you just have to look at the websites. Not a lot of info to be found from most clubs.Holsted being the exception and the Danish Speedway League site is also super
  19. It is terrible really for youngsters, not only in Sweden, but almost everywhere.Sweden is one of the countries we think of having a good youth system. But one wonders why we now have so few quality riders. Is it because there are so few riders to choose from? But the pool of riders will always shrink if you are always giving places up to riders who ride in 3,4 or 5 leagues.Chicken and Egg situation in a way.
  20. It is striking looking through the line-ups how few Swedes are in each team.1,2 or if you are lucky 3 riders And given the performances of some of the foreign riders one wonders if it is good for the future of our sport that most leagues are filled with foreign riders
