  1. Lawrence has already explained the situation.I don't really think it is "their ridiculous regulations".They own the rights to the tv coverage and thanks to that we have one or two meetings online every weekend. What is "ridiculous" about that. All companies that own rights want to get the best results from them. And like Lawrence says if they can come up with the money maybe they can carry on.Seems only sensible to me rather than "ridiculous"
  2. Seen Wozniak a few times now and he does look good. But he can only be about 16 years old.Didn't realise he was a Bydgoszcz rider
  3. It is a difficult one.Someone before said something about the youngsters tried to qualify but failed.Well of course being young they are on a learning curve and next year will probably be better than this.By how much remains to be seen. The likes of Walasek and Ulamek are more than likely not going to be better than this year. I am a fan of the old one off World Final. It can't be beaten for atmosphere and publicity, but it is gone. The GPs are here to stay.I do think for the sport as a whole they are better.Maybe not for the sport in Britain, league wise. That is a problem for the Brits to sort out.But to complain about the age of the riders.Well Adams,Hancock and Gollob regularly beat all the youngsters. The top 5 or 6 are well ahead of the others. Those below, you could change around the names each year and they will do the same as the previous lot. The problem with any qualification process is the tracks.Get Walasek in a quali process that involves the tracks he rides well and he is more than likely to get through. You could say the same about Ferjan or Dryml or perhaps Kylmäkorpi.Luck of the draw.
  4. I guess this was for Team Bikab places, not for Smederna though? And talking of wet tracks i was talking to a couple of fathers this year about tracks. The Father of Mikkel B.Jensen said Mikkel likes it in the wet.And what surprised me more was talking to Mick Poole at Skaerbaek. The first day was very wet and i said to Mick "This might be a problem for Taylor. He probably has never ridden a wet track".He said "No mate,he loves racing in the wet.Goes even faster.Frightens the life out of me"
  5. Nice one Mikael Doesn't surprise me Simon goes well in the wet.Think the Danish youngsters are pretty much used to racing in bad weather.I remember a couple of years back for the Denmark v Sweden 80cc test at Vojens, the weather was terrible.I didn't bother going up,because i thought it was definitely off. Then when i saw later the photos from the meeting on the net and how bad the track looked. But they still thrashed the Swedish boys I think Simon was riding for Denmark that day
  6. Hasn't TRick already been helping Antonio this season?Along with Anders Mellgren i thought
  7. Here is the track website Praha You can find an email or telephone number.Plus you could go to the track hang around until the gates open and still have a few hours to get to a bar before the start of the EL meeting
  8. Look here. Not sure if there is any further updates on the line-up Tomicek Memorial
  9. Are there plans for a meeting in December this year Mikael?
  10. Simon is well worth a second look.Very good young rider As is Renè Bach,Michael Jepsen Jensen,Lasse Bjerre. Then don't forget the others still on 80cc Mikkel Michelsen & Mikkel B.Jensen.The Danish production line is still functioning.......but don't believe the hype.Wait until you see them for yourself
  11. It seemed to me that there was quite a lot of hype about Risager a few years back. Most of it from Britain rather than Denmark And the same with some of the Polish riders. It was people on here tipping Zabik or the other guy at Ipswich last year who had a good heat or two at Poole in the SWC.Now it looks like Darcy ward is going to get it over the winter
  12. Congratulation Hans. I think one or two Swedish fans here don't like him But like you say he is a great rider
  13. I was going to say, they have shortened the track since then. Thanks for the info
  14. What was that from 1947?How many riders on the start then????? And a bit with Michael Lee and John Davis i think through the Czech language
  15. Results of the prelim round here Interesting that Andy Smith was in the comp.Is that the only meeting he has done this year?Haven't noticed him tbh Livestream here
  16. You're right on both counts there with Nanna and Danishwebmaster Mmm difficult one.The programme is all in Danish,so i haven't found any description other than "Danmark mod Resten Af Verden"i.e Denmark v Rest of the World. But i will be sending you a copy of the (bit weather beaten) cover shortly
  17. What are you on about? I am sure they would all bite the man from BSI's hand off for a place in the GP's.Sajfutdinov has already said as much.Pavlic will probably get a place soon as it seems his track wil be getting a GP in the next couple of years. And in his case,it could be the other way round. The "dosh" as you put it might be coming from Croatia as it almost certainly is from Russia.Have you seen the fotos of their track?
  18. I think Ole & Jacob have a lot of backing and big plans for Vojens. It is the start of a new era there i think.Up into the Danish Superliga next year with a team including Hans,Kenneth and Nicolai Klindt.Plus he has mentioned big meetings being held there.Big Open meetings such as this one as well as Official meetings.Plus the chance of 2 GPs in Denmark And i have to say despite the typical poor Vojens weather, the crowd was pretty big.Not sure what the official attendance was,but it looked at least 6,000?edit:Just seen on the Holsted site 8,000 att.Very good for that sort of weather Fotos from Vojens,Denmark v ROW
  19. No.Bloody cold and wet journey back though.Glad that is it for this season. But it wasn't that bad a meeting.Scotty looked pretty good. All the way there though i was thinking 'Just turn around and go home and watch it on the internet'.It was only because the traffic back to Hamburg was murder that i carried on
  20. I hope so mate.Going to be leaving in an hour or so.But even though it is lovely here, you never know with Vojens Updates should be here if all goes well
  21. Vaculik wins the Golden Ribbon.Kevin Wölbert failed to make the final after being joint top scorer in the prelims Nicolai done well Tai at least gets a good look at the track for tomorrow Results
