  1. Best of luck zo both the youngsters.Always good to see them getting some foreign experience.I think Nicky is the only one so far to have ridden in this comp,is he????
  2. That is right....it is all down to the country and i would imagine the translator at times.......in britain they use "v" but in germany it is usually "w".......i can't see anything wrong with using an "i" instead of a "y" or "j".So Saifutdinov or Saifutdinow would also be correct translations.....but if he prefers one spelling then i guess that should be used
  3. David Ruud replaces Nicki Still it should make the meeting a bit closer
  4. Pity Peter....because Vojens look like they need one of them on wednesday.....Holsted have Nicki,Nicolai Klindt,Patrick Hougaard,Simon Nielsen and Patrick Bjerregaard.A very strong line-up don't you think?
  5. QUOTE (Rob B @ Apr 26 2009, 10:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Track was far to slick as most of them are but you have to remember that just over 24 hours earlier they have practise which lasts couple of hours but I read somewhere the amount of laps the riders do equals about 3 meetings and the track takes a hammering, hard to sort that out in 24 hours, think they should scrap practise. This is what a lot of the Olsen knockers forget.....how many times have we heard that the track was great at practice and pants in the real meeting?????What really is gained by the riders knocking the crap out of most tracks for practice?Olsen is a genius, but even this task is beyond him.......
  6. It would be the one that isn't riding in the PL for Stoke
  7. If it was the best meeting ever you would find something to moan about........probably already mentioned the fact that despite the young exciting Russian winning that he isnÄ't the finshed article yet....just to try and put a dampers on that one
  8. I am sure they ask all the riders if they are willing to travel to the far ends of Europe for a quali meeting and those that say no way are not chosen....all above board like I mean there is no point having riders in the GP's who are out of their depth and only embarass the country is there? .......ok they don't embarras Scotland...just for Snyper
  9. There are only home wildcards. One for Hungary and one for Sweden is it?No Brits would get a wildcard. But there are enough quali spots.....Ben has to rely on someone elses mis-fortune i am afraid.Let's hope he is back soon
  10. There you are absolutely correct.I watched a few meetings last year and one this.....and i would say 80-90% of the tracks/racing were at least as bad....Belle Vue last year was far worse....even the home riders couldn't ride the track......apart from Crump
  11. I thought from what an "insider" posted on here last month that Ole and his new assistant from Sweden don't have a lot of say in most of the track prep.Only i would guess in Denmark for instance does Ole have full say.In the other tracks it would seem the locals have the say.......i don't know though. But Ole must take at least some of the blame.....but Prague is a pretty dire track over the years.....
  12. www.inspeed.de Ben has two wins so far from 2 heats
  13. Pity i had other commitments.I would have loved to have been there to see that.I hope to make it up for the Vojens v Holsted meeting though...
  14. Total rubbish.....He can see how Nicholls is performing by checking the results in the Speedway Star the same as you and me.Or he might even be able to watch Scott riding in Poland by the use of the internet and see a meeting live from Poland. But as you say Scott didn't perform well last night, but who is there that would have done better? We can't use Lee Richardson in the team because he was also a failure in the GP's on your theory.....It is a strange parochial attitude that seems to come from the small town folk...... Other athletes in other sports go where they feel they will get the best training and competition....running the London Marathon isn't compulsory or riding in the Tour of Britain..... Got sidelined by this nonsense....but wanted to congratulate Emil.......but what a poor crowd!!!Can the Czech GP survive????
  15. Where can you find the heat details for the Målilla Challenge? I want to see who Lasse beat.Seemed to go well with 7 points

  17. Results from todays quali meeting from f-s-p,.... Results from the finnish qualifier: 1. Appe Mustonen 13 2. Kalle Katajisto 12 3. Niko Siltaniemi 11 4. Teemu Lahti 10+3 5. Timo Lahti 10+2 6. Jari Mäkinen 6 7. Joni Kitala 4 8. Jarkko Palmi 0 Full details during sunday. Top3 all U19.
  18. I don't get how making it 7 man teams will open it up for Wales or Scotland when they couldnt even compete with 4 or 5 man teams!!!Even disregarding the rules that seem to bar them from competing in FIM events anyway
  19. There is a train station just across the road from the track though isn't there? That is how i often got there......or cycled the distance from South London there and back
  20. I have said it before, but it seem crazy that Britain seem to be going down this route with the speedway giants of Czecho and Germany in having this 250cc competition.50cc and 80cc route is a proven thing. But of course most tracks find it impossible to build an 80cc track,so they have to stick the kids out on a full sized track.Ürobably as usefull as what i have seen here in Germany of sticking kids on 50cc bikes on a full sized speedway track!!!!!!
  21. Absolutely. And of course i have seen those riders in brackets a few times on 80cc and saw Dennis last year in Fjelsted. He has always impressed me.But how is Mellgren looking as i haven't seen him since the YGT a couple of years ago?
