  1. Nah,Anders.Don't worry.....my early speedway heroes were Olle Nygren,Ronnie Moore and Tommy Jansson........so Swedes played a big part in those early days.....no Brits(well Ronnie was riding for GB,but doesn't really count) or Danes Fotos from Vojens v Fjelsted
  2. No really, despite the score it wasn't a bad meeting. In fact it was a pretty good meeting.Vissing and Bach were the most exciting. The battle between Kenneth and Seba was probably the least exciting clashes, although Kenneth was pretty good when behind.Vissing came through from at 15m penalty into second place and wasn't far off the heat win.Törnqvist was a typical Swede.Looked good when he gated but couldn't do a thing if he didn't ......only joking Henrik Vedel is looking pretty good for you Peter. And how did it go on monday?Give us the results. It was too much.Vojens monday and wednesday and then the jubilee meeting in Holsted tomorrow.Although i might miss that one as well now.........
  3. Vojens 55 K.Bjerre (2,3,3,3,1,2)14 K.Jakobsen (0,3,2*,1,2*,3)11+2 P.Norgaard (3,2*,3,3,3,1*)15+2 R.Törnqvist (1,3,1,0,3,2*)10+1 M.J.Jensen (e.f,2*,1,2*)5+2 Fjelsted 32 S.Ulamek (3,e.f,2,6,1,2,3)15 C.Vissing (1,2,ex,2,2*,0,F.x)7+1 R.Bach (2,1,F.x,F,0)3 N.Barrett (0,1,0,0,F.x)1 S.Andersen (1*,1,1,1)4+1 Looks a bit one sided but it wasn't that bad a meeting. Some interesting battles going on between Jakobsen and Vissing and then Norgaard and bach had some good races.Vissing came hard under Klaus in one heat and wiped Klaus out.Claus was excluded. Then René was really going hard round the outside and lost control. Then he was having a great race with Klaus Jakobsen and in the last bend seemed to try and cut across Klaus to stop him coming through and had a spectacular fall.Luckily he got up,but didn't look so good in his last heat and must have pulled out of the nominated heat with bruises. The debut of LiGlad ........well he didn't look as impressive as in the Danish Final. But still looks to be a big talent for the future. Was in second place in his first heat before his bike packed up.And well.....he beat Ulamek and Vissing, just like i thought or hoped he might There was also some very good team riding from Vojens which was nice.Patrick Norgaard continues to impress.......
  4. Maybe not.But one thing i have learnt in the past few days.Gdansk and this meeting. It is not just Olsen that can knock up a boring track. And the other ones are permanent rather than temp tracks Just hope Ole has Vojens in shape for tomorrow Woohoo, the blue water truck just made the best pass of the night so far on the second red tractor to come from the back.......
  5. Lost the sound just now......what was PK talking about????? I could only guess he was saying-....."this is my blue helmet.....er this is my white helmet....and er this is my yellow helmet,...." weird
  6. It also enables a bit of a cheat in the time period.A father in law can be quite a bit younger than the actual blood father.I guess it is possible to have a father in law younger than yourself even......
  7. Well tomorrow see's the Superleague debut of young LiGlad. That is where i will be heading See if he can maybe rattle a few of the more experienced riders like Claus Vissing or even Seb Ulamek
  8. Be careful there Anders.Stralsund is right on the coast and anyway a tourist attraction,so in August could be very busy........there are B&B's just across the road from the track.....
  9. Hi Anders. It is usually an afternoon meeting.15:00/16:00.I don't think they can start earlier because of all the people with their little gardens complaining about the noise.I don't think riders can start warming up their bikes until 15:00.........
  10. Surely clanger should have been written in this font ?????
  11. Yup.That is why i hope Stekkers gives Nicolai or Patrick a place.Won't do any harm. And might be better to go into the race off anyway if they don't manage to win in Vojens
  12. Stekkers has named the Danish squad.....no Gjedde. Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne Pedersen, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kenneth Bjerre, Hans Andersen, Nicolai Klindt, Patrick Hougaard and Mads Korneliussen
  13. Think i would agree with that. Here is a German article covering his career in both sports.Arthur Sissis
  14. Well i have heard something....and it was weeks and weeks ago......and it wasn't from the media. There must be something doing the rounds(i wonder about the thread by garf for instance....) and the media have got to hear about it........but like you say, someone should put up or shut up.
  15. Most posters........don't have the job.I can't see 5 British riders better than Scott. Are there 2 riders better than Scott?I think it would be total madness to leave him out.I can't wait for all the posts about which 2 British riders should replace Scott and Chris in the GP's .................
  16. I think there are one, maybe a few rumours going round about Emil.I would like to think it is just based on total surprise(jealousy, perhaps?) at how talented the guy is.Some of the moves he is doing are amazing. He did though seem to have more power than most.Even when Crump beat him,i thought Emil looked faster but was just struggling to get the right line past Crump.I hope all these rumours are unfounded as he looks to be something special
  17. What about Mitch Shirra? He was certainly riding at the time Street was still going wasn't he?He started out "under age" i seem to remember and is still going now..... And Egon Müller also springs to mind as a possibility....... My thoughts on the subject as well.3 generations would be the Jansson family or the Tomicek family......
  18. Yer not wrong there........this GP wasn't good for the sports chances of attracting new fans though who wants to watch a sport being dominated by a ginger headed Australian??????
  19. I don't know how you could type such a thing...........i fell off me chair in utter shock that she didn't have a big moan about the whole GP/IMG/BSI/Olsen,etc,etc,etc
  20. Bit of a borefest though----if it wasn't for that red start girl i would have turned off long ago.....
  21. Well i found out where i saw the info......Stekkers and Gundersens,DMU plans for the future of Danish speedway......it mentions 03.08.2009 as the date unless i have mis-understood......or maybe it has been cancelled.......i am also trying to find out if the planned Holsted v Rest of the World meeting for a few weeks time is still on.....seems to have dropped off the Holsted calendar....!!! But here are the plans.....Danish speedway squads.....
  22. Thanks for that Ghostie.....hope for a good result from Dennis and Anders...... I thought i saw something about 1 or 2 Denmark v Sweden 80cc tests again this season........do you or maybe Anders have any info?I can't seem to find out where i saw it now............ Or was i day dreaming again?????
  23. Only if the were Ice speedway riders, surely????
