Absolutely.Best place for them
-
Yeah, and being fair to the original poster they were suggesting King's Lynn build as side based on young English talent, and why not?Don't want all them young Scottish riders leaving their home sides and going south, unless they are ready for the move into the EL.I think it makes sense for the Scottish teams to have the best Scots in their side for economical reasons at least.

I tend to agree with the assesment.I think Poland will win fairly comfortably, maybe a good joker from Australia will keep it close.Don't think Russia will repeat their performance from Vojens.I just hope that the racing is good even if the title seems a foregone conclusion.....but Russia could give Sweden a good battle for the bronze

Where Was Nicholls
iris123 replied to Speedwayleics's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I thought i heard Boyce say he would have used Ward but for his injury. And of course Sullivan wasn't riding last night when he is better than one or two that were. That is down to team spirit i would have thought. The same as Rob Lyon is trying to do.....I guess the feeling from both Rob and Craig is the best 5 riders don't neccesarily make the best team -
It was also good to see Edward and Adam in the pits helping out and hopefully also learning from the experience. It is important to get the team spirit going like the Aussies(maybe Ryan disagrees)and Danes do.I know Patrick Hougaard was in Tarnow helping René Bach out in the European U19 final at the weekend, and there were plenty of Aussies in the pits last night. That is the sort of thing that needs to be going on......

Ole Olsen Track Prep
iris123 replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes i agree with the GP's.Sorry for the misunderstanding.I was talking specifically about the SWC,which i think has been great entertainment so far.And has been over the years.Like i say,to a certain extent that has to be down to the riders. The different mix of riders compared to the GP's.If Ole is looking after the GP's and SWC meetings over the years why is there to an extent a difference?I would say down to the riders and not down to Olsen's track prep.Look at the Russian effort or danny King in Peterborough and Tai,Nicolai and Patrick last night.... -
Ole Olsen Track Prep
iris123 replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well so far i think Ole has done a good job with the tracks. The meetings have been pretty good.Obviously the riders have to do their job as well, and if you get a heat with Crump up against a few youngsters you are never likely to get Crump being pushed all the way...Peterborough was a one-off.You don't get many meetings that good in a lifetime. And it was good that Ole managed to get the ref to have a re-run.But i wonder why appoint a ref who from what Stekkers said can't really comunicate in english? What other common language do all the teams in the SWC have? -
But a country that probably has more riders doing junior league speedway at this moment in time than Scotland have had in their entire history.........to put things into perspective here.GB have some positives to take from this tourny as do Denmark.it might not seem like that to some though

I thought it looked so warm(Tatum was sweating buckets) that a bikini was called for really -
Saying that you don't become a bad rider overnight and he was sure Scott will recover his form.....and return to the team.i thought that was very good from Lee to even mention Scott
-
Agreed.Would have been a hard decision with Lewis if GB had have made the Final. But the kids have to learn from this one.I must say Lee came over extremely well during this competition and his words about Scott were fantastic i thought I'd say,the only criticism and it is small....is that Rob seemed to be unsure about the start gate positions and Stekkers was the one leading the protest. But i am sure he will learn from that and has to be a bit more forcefull.....

I just don't understand a lot of the people who post here....moan,moan,moan.....I thought she has done a good job.Tonight and previous meetings. If she reads the forum.....keep up the good work -
Yes...i will be there It might be a tough couple of years.......but the good times are just around the corner.I think there are a couple of future World Champs in Denmark coming through Come on Russia
-
Can't blame them. Why risk anything when the job is done. And like Boyce said, they should try some other set-ups/bikes etc......makes sense to me
-
Agreed there Lis.But i must say....no fan of Sweden, but i am pleased to see Antonio going well.Good also to see Nic and Patrick not outclassed and should gain a lot from this......
-
I don't know.......Ole should be on the phone to the ref again
-
Seems crazy with Nicolai almost over the finish line to have one
-
Well done Ole.....
-
I think Snyper is doing a bit of grumbling and smashing things as well at the moment.
-
Was certainly a good move by Rob Lyon.No-one can say he has no tactical nuance.....
-
Puk and Hans look weak though......but all three teams have weak links.....
-
Hope Bradford Ace is enjoying watching his paint dry.......i am enjoying a good speedway meeting

Swc Race-off

Let's hope he doesn't do that again or you will have no furniture left -
Another great race....all those nerds just spouting stuff like robots.Listen to what Crump said and look at the evidence rather than spout the same stuff.....
