  1. Is this new? Surely Ferjan has been in both the Slovenian and Hungarian SWC team
  2. You know the world is turning upside down, when a Rangers fan is one of the sensible ones
  3. Some people on here really frighten me.....He was born in one country and grew up in another. His family come from one country, while most of his friends ome from the other i would guess. He probably feels empathy with both and had to make a choice. Most people here wanted him to make the choice he did.Let's leave the kid alone and enjoy his efforts in and for the country.I have 3 kids.1 born in London and 2 in Germany. They all feel German at the moment, but why shouldn't she(they) also be happy with their English heritage?
  4. Thought i read Gdansk were having trouble as well Yes....jut found this about Gdansk owing Hans and Kenneth a fair bit of dosh.....Gdansk
  5. You have to say he has a low average because that is what he deserves.......buthaving seen him he is a pretty talented rider.<i saw him give Bjerre a few scares in Denmark one night. But is he another of those extremely talented Poles that will just tail off and disappear.....like Hlib,Rempala and Zabik have/will?
  6. And that is probably the place you would expect him to be remembered.I don't want to sound disrespectful, but an international meeting doesn't really strike me as being the right place. There are probably sadly a number of international riders and admin people that die every month, but won't be respected on such a stage.Last year the President og Togliatti was murdered on the street.I am not sure if his memory was honoured internationally, and i would imagine he was a far bigger player on the international speedway scene
  7. Never heard of either person mentioned in that first thread.......so it took me ages to even look at the thread i confess.Doubt that many speedway fans have heard of him either, sadly. That is the way i guess.I am only really interested in riders anyway. But obviously some people like Pratt,Middlo and Rosco you hear about.Must confess i had never heard of Rob Lyon before his GB manger appointment,so it is no wonder i have never before heard of this guy
  8. Well i am still wondering who Yllinen thingmybob was talking to in a foreign language on the phone.....
  9. Oh,i know 1 or 2 things I was told something that really surprised me this week.Well 2 things actually. But none i can put on a forum without endangering my life
  10. I'll second that.Great presentation and some great racing.....what speedway should be like always
  11. Exactly....the football rule makes sense in a non cheating, encouraging teams to play the game.whereas the speedway rule(most speedway rules in fact) encourage cheating or shall we say not riding to the best of your ability......Speedway in a nutshell
  12. I think 1 or 2 clubs are looking at the German connection
  13. Yup.Looks like the Ginger one mucked up on a couple of fronts this week.Did anyone see him wearing a Team GB shirt by any chance?
  14. Like i said in a previous post, he managed to steer Australia U21's into 4th placein the final last year. And that with Holder and Batchelor in the team.Takes some doing
  15. That is the problem with German youngsters.Particularly at the moment.A few years back when Hefenbrock and Smolinski were coming through there were at least in the northern section maybe 4 or 5 quali rounds for the German junior championship, the Bundesliga and the 2.Bundesliga.Which gave the juniors a good few meetings before any other open or foreign meetings. Now the 2.Bundesliga has gone and the junior championship.......well they can barely get 16 riders together for one meeting now.So like i say Erik at least was all over the place trying to get meetings(the first year he was on a 500cc he was at almost every meeting i went to for the first 3 or 4 months!!!).I saw him in Denmark at the lower level and i know at the same time Kevin Wölbert was in the Zielona Gora junior side,Erik was riding for Gorzow.I think it is hard for the German lads if you are continuelly riding against the same riders all the time. I guess he would come in on a 7.But i am no great shakes with the ins and outs of British speedway rules
  16. Quite a few times from before he was on 500cc.He was the new "wonder kid" a few years back.Coming from Berlin he learnt his trade in Poland to a large extent i think rather than Germany.A bit like Stephan Katt living near Denmark rode a lot up there. But Erik has also rode a fair bit in the Danish 1 Division. He is,i would say ok to good.I wouldn't say he has progressed that much in the past 2 years. But in the Bundesliga he is normally in the junior races and he doesn't get much competition there. Was a good result for him and a bit surprised to be honest.I think Deddens is the better prospect and of course the injured Kai Huckenbeck was very impressive earlier this season.I think if Huckenbeck had of been fit and in the team Germany could have put on a serious challenge.
  17. I think in the contest, the mole is way behind the BSPA
  18. He was riding for the Gorzów junior team at one point. Not sure if he still is.
  19. I guess you were one of those that weren't planning on going to church tomorrow morning then Dave?
  20. Oh,don't you just hate those people who commentate on the heat or even worse at football......far worse than any tv commentator are those people who tell you what is going on when you can see for yourself I agree.....next time the whingers go to a meeting just tape the noise and then everytime they watch the tv turn the mute button on and play their tape......
  21. What is a Camel Toe then? Saw the couple with the kangaroo on telly, but must have missed you Dave. Not sure how i managed that
  22. Rob Lyon is also a super guy and Mark Loram should get a sainthood.......in fact what a bunch of lovely people the GB team was.I do think a round of applause is called for and a "for he's a jolly good fellow" for each and everyone
  23. Well i have been a fan and posted such on here over the years. But that was to say that he was far from a gating tart.I didn't realise until this week to use the Sultans of Ping FC's words that he was such a "Nice young man with a lovely smile..."
  24. This one for example I was a bit surprised to see no 28 on your list spelt as Voloddymyr Teigal on speedway.org for tomorrows U19 Ukraine team.I wonder if this was the spelling given out in official documents?Seems rather long winded. But like you say often you can only give an approximation unless you see how the rider himself spells his name as you often can with the Ice riders on their backs.....
