That is something of a surprise result.Mikkel B always seems to fall short.......but both will move up onto 500cc next year and i expect them to be just as good as LiGlad if not better.....surprised at Engdahl's poor score as well as he did look good yesterday. But maybe the track has played a part in all of this,as it wasn't very good yesterday and was maybe worse today???Well done to Kenni though

Result from today(pretty boring)Bundesliga meeting.... BROKSTEDT 39 1 Mads Korneliussen (3,1,6!,2,F,-) - 12 2 Joonas Kylmäkorpi (1,1,2,3,3,1*,2) - 13+1 3 Matthias Kröger (e.f,0,0,1,2,3) - 6 4 Stephan Katt (2,1*,1*,3,1*,0) - 8+3 5 Kristian Droßmann (0,-,0,0,0) - 0 LANDSHUT 48 6 Martin Smolinski (2,3,3,3,3,3) - 17 7 Tobias Kroner (0,2*,3,2,2*,1) - 10+2 8 Richard Speiser (3,2*,2,0,0,1*) - 8+2 9 Jörg Tebbe (1,0,0,1,1*) - 3+1 10 Max Dilger (3,1*,2,2,2) - 10+1 Mads fell quite harmlessly so it seemed, but hurt his neck and had to be taken off in an ambulance. But i heard after that he is ok.He was trying to make up ground and pass Tebbe after starting off 10m or whatever it is for breaking the tapes.Joonas was the most exciting rider going round the boards.Poor start from Matten who's bike packed up when on a 5-1 with Katt(i think) can't get used to this strange system of having one team with red + white helmet colour and the other with blue and yellow!!!!!! Smoli was the class rider though, but really most heats were won in the first 10 metres or so...... And another for the "Famous people who go to speedway"....former Bayern Munich and Germany star Paul Breitner was in attendance today!

Line up for tomorrows semi finals......i am off very early in the morning to make the 12 start for the first semi.....fingers crossed for good weather, motorbike that doesn't play up and two good meetings. Can't see past the 2 Mikkels, but will be interested to see some of the other riders on show.Pity none of the Russians or Ukranians are coming. But Germany has a representative.Güstrow rider Dittner. There is a limit put on Denmark as to how many riders can qualify for the final, which has both good and bad points to it.Will also be an international meeting in Vojens on monday. But i don't think it will be a Denmark v Sweden test as our German representative is also taking part..... Semi 1: Kacper Woryna, Polen Jesper Scharff, Danmark Mark Frimodt Pedersen, Danmark Mike Trzensiok, Polen Jacob Thorsell, Sverige Kenni Nissen, Danmark Kasper Lykke Nielsen, Danmark Freddie Broms, Sverige Villi Mattila, Finland Sam Jensen, Danmark Mikkel B. Jensen, Danmark Jacob Bukhave, Danmark Dominik Kossakowski, Polen Jonas Engdahl, Sverige Jan Lukas Dittner, Tyskland Jiri Neminen, Finland Patrick Lykke Nielsen, Danmark (res) Steffan Leeder Nielsen, Danmark (res) Semi-Finale 2: Victor Palovaara, Sverige Jooa Partanen, Finland Kenny Wennerstam, Sverige Christoffer Sørensen, Danmark Mikkel Salomonsen, Danmark Mikkel Michelsen, Danmark Kenneth D. Jensen, Danmark Villi Hautala, Finland Rasmus Jensen, Danmark Emil Grøndal, Danmark Nickolaj B. The Bundesliga comes to town again..... Last weekend brokstedt had a promotional day in local Neumünster with Egon Müller and Matten Kröger among the people helping promote the speedway. For this sundays meeting all residents of Brokstedt will be able to gain free entry for the meeting. line-up: Brokstedt Mads Korneliussen(DK) Joonas Kylmäkorpi(Fin) Matten Kröger Stephan Katt Kristian Drossmann Landshut Martin Smolinski Tobi Kroner Richard Speiser Jörg Tebbe Max Dilger Should be a tough close meeting.Brokstedt have a weak link in the U21 spot.Obviously the sad accident to Sönke Petersen means Brokstedt have lost their best junior. But then young star Huckenbeck is also out injured and then last weekend young Sebastian Eckerle also got injured,so Drossmann has been drafted into the side.A lot will depend on what sort of form Matten and Catman find themselves in.At the last home meeting they only really went well when riding together.Daniel Nermark was down to replace the injured Charlie Gjedde. But there was a bit of conroversy with Nermark at the last home meeting, when he turned down the opportunity to train and then caused some problems with team mate Kröger. So maybe Joonas coming into the team might be an improvement.

Semifinal Europen Championship In Gorican
iris123 replied to bejczys's topic in International World of Speedway
My good friend from Bydgoszcz, the journalist and Russian speedway/ice speedway ...expert(?) Georg Dobes was saying just this to me at Vojens. That he doubted many riders would fancy the trip. And he said he doubted all of those that qualified would turn up....... -

Polish Final Sat 25th July Line-up
iris123 replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
I think Togliatti is pretty impressive Pity the team is so poor and obviously have money trouble now........But Gorican will be a pretty decent facility when it is all finished.Or from what i have heard about the plans,if they come to fruition it will be super for such a relatively small speedway nation. -
Possibly the same everywhere.I have heard of one Danish rider pretty miffed becaus a foreign rider of similar status earnt 5 times the amount he gets for 1 Danish Supeliga meeting

Where Was Nicholls

Still leave a lot of questions unanswered.....like where was Scott? Scott says he wants to ride,Rob Lyon says no.So,that still doesn't answer the question of where he was.Especially as Scott seems to think the initial "no" was only for the first meeting. So you would have thought he would go and support the lads like Rico did.But why did he think Rob Lyon was going to give him another phone call when it seemed Rico knew he was going to be in the following meeting? All sounds strange what is in this article.... -
I heard this a couple of days back.I should have a couple of fotos in the proggie Look forward to seeing how they both go.My favourite is Kevin, but maybe Max can pull of a surprise.I would love to see Kevin in the PL.I do think that is what he needs at this stage of his career, even if it means i won't get to see him as much in Denmark maybe.....not sure what sort of track Armadale is(but then you might not be there long),but i have seen Kevin ride very well at smallish and big tracks
-
I don't think so(although for sure his individual titles were won for NZ.But i was meaning team events). But Ronnie is a perfect example being born in Australia and representing both Australia and New Zealand at test level and also GB.....i don't think he ever got the sort of stick that Tai is getting on this thread.I think all the teams were happy to have him and all the fans as well.Oh for the days before the internet moaners

Ole Olsen Track Prep
iris123 replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
But it did rain at Vojens during the meeting......so maybe the watering before and during the meeting was affected by the knowledge that rain was on its way? I thought all 4 meetings were great entertainment(although i didn't see an awful lot of the Final...... -
But i think individual meetings are slightly different. You can be a representative or more correctly nominated by any nation.Look at Theo Pijper he is now nominated by France i think.Shane Colvin by Belgium i think in FIM meetings.Laguta was nominated by Latvia for their GP,which got up the Russian federations nose.......But to ride for a national team you have to actually hold the nationality of that team.So it might be that representation in individual meetings doesn't count.Which is why i didn't mention Holta on purpose. But i have no idea if there is a ruling in speedway.I think there might be one in football introduced though but then in football they only have team, not individual events

Tme To Stop Bitchin....
iris123 replied to Bee's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good post arnie.Unfortunately i think it won't make a lot of difference.A fair few will still be sat in front of the tv,logged into this forum just waiting for one of the commentators to make a mistake so they can post within milli-seconds "Did you hear what xxxxxxx just said?...blah,blah,blah....." I imagine some even record meetings and go back through the recording concentrating on the commentating team rather than the racing
