  1. But is there much point in comparing Latvia with GB? You get people complaining about the cost to what is one of the most important meetings in the country.People wonder why there are few FIM meetings. But how many travel abroad to see the same sort of meeting? Then others will rather spend 15 quid on a meaningless meeting like Ippos pairs jobby or some other 'filler' And then you get those that can't be bothered to go to the crappy EL and travel over to see some meeting in Belgium or Outer Mongolia.......but everyone has a choice on where they spend their dough.........speedway fans are weird
  2. Good.Looking forward to it.Yes,i think Winters looks favourite.
  3. Wilmersdorf. Not far away from Ku'damm Here is a link to the clubs website.Berlin
  4. I would go with a good win for Esbjerg.Look stronger in depth.Kikkenborg can be a good rider at times. Not so impressed with Palm Toft though. What happened to Brian Lyngsö?
  5. The Hamburg Freezers ice hockey team have had two test games and the first Xmas stuff is now in the stores.......plus Conkers contacted me about hotels for Berlin. So i thought it was time we forgot about summer and started thinking about Franky Zorn,Krasnikov......and poor Mrs Mark who is probably locked away in the garage putting all those spikes in tyres Not sure what is happening with Inzell next year. Can't remember exactly, but thought they might not be running because of building work going on with a new roof.... The GP Finals look like this as far as i know: Togliatti 06/07.02 -rounds 1+2 Karasnogorsk 13/14.02 -rounds 3+4 Assen 13/14.03 -rounds 5+6 Berlin 20/21.03 -rounds 7+8 And the team final 30/31.01 Saransk plus the Sanok Cup is down for the 15/16.01 with Krasnikov,Zorn,Bauer and Posa supposedly confirmed..........
  6. Yes Eddie was a great rider for the Dons.I didn't know and probably still don't know all that went on in his life after speedway. But i do remember a female Polish fan telling me rather frankly that he wasn't a hero in his domestic life........A sad end to one of the true great Polish stars.I went to the Jancarz memorial last year and saw the stadium.Missed the statue though. But was just talking about it a couple of weeks back.At the same time i met the son and grandson of Toni Woryna, who was another of the early stars.A very nice pair and i am keeping in touch with him.Sadly i learnt that Antoni died about 8 years ago.
  7. There are 54 Superliga meetings in a season, plus other meetings like SWC,2 GP's and the European U19 team final....as well as some fantastic 80cc meetings to watch this year.So they aren't really in a speedway desert over the border
  8. 9. Well done Nicki great race. And well done to René and LiGlad.....
  10. Hmmmm a bit typical from Claus....just as LiGlad was doing well Hope he is ok though Yay.....go LiGlad
  11. You can't expect the World Champ to push his own bike after all the injuries he has had..... Ulrich is doing well Nicolai has some work to do....... What happened to Bjarne?
  12. Programme now on....in super quality....so far Hope for another good result from Nicolai....and LiGlad Ooooh that was lucky for Nicki
  13. I don't really go along with giving more GP places to riders from the GP Challenge.Speedway is a curious sport where certain tracks favour certain riders. You could bet that a couple of Poles would make it through last year. And the year before you could have a good guess that the Danes would do well and so on.If the Challenge was in Gorican you would be almost certain Pavlic would get through or Zagar in Krskro.........Harris will stand a good chance of making it through in Coventry, whereas he would just be among the field at other tracks in other countries. We almost had Tomicek make it through in Vojens. And Let's face it that would have been a disaster to watch him in a GP season....... In the old one day World Final it wasn't sooooo bad to see a couple of strugglers. But in a whole GP series it is painful.
  14. I guess this means Kirsten Skaarups cooking programme has been postponed this week then Oh well,at least the friday bingo programme is still on Just hope the stream doesn't freeze just as my number is going to come up Points going into the second part of the Championship Nicki Pedersen, Holsted - 14 point Kenneth Bjerre, Esbjerg - 14 point Hans Andersen, Vissenbjerg Bred - 11 point Niels Kr. Iversen, Holsted - 10 point Nicolai Klindt, Outrup - 9 point Leon Madsen, Holstebro - 9 point Morten Risager, Silkeborg - 9 point Jesper B Monberg, Esbjerg - 8 point Patrick Hougaard, Holsted - 7 point Bjarne Pedersen, Holstebro - 6 point Mads Korneliussen, Esbjerg - 6 point Ulrich Østergaard, Holstebro - 5 point Michael Jepsen Jensen, Vojens - 4 point Henning Bager, Outrup - 4 point Claus Vissing, Fjelsted - 3 point Kenneth Kruse Hansen, Slangerup - 0 point After tomorrows 20 heats the top 4 when both scores are added go into the Final
  15. Don't think the points in the final counted towards it at all.It was just a final for the sake of it,or maybe a trophy for that meeting. But not towards the Danish Championship at all.Unless someone knows better They did in a previous year give GP style points, had 2 meeting finals, then another final for the Championship, but dropped the idea
  16. Forget the SWC,but the question should be asked.....Is Lindbäck that good this season that he deserves 2 GP wildcards? For me it is a no-brainer.No he isn't.So why not give someone else a chance?I wouldn't say THJ is the obvious choice, but if you are building for the future and given his good performances in what are very hard and pressurised meetings why not?I have my doubts that Antonio will ever be the rider he should be or even was, sadly.
  17. Bit sad to see Møller struggling so much.A couple of years back he was great round Holsted.Beating Bjarne,Antonio and Lindgren i seem to remember. But now he can't even beat Vedel
  18. Anyone got an english link.I can only get it in Danish
  19. Yes,very annoying......keeps freezing.I normally watch the travel programmes in sopcast with no problem
  20. An interview with THJ in which he states his disappointment with not getting the Malilla wildcard after his performances in the U21 and senior Swedish championships.Svemo not liking the fact he didn't travel to Latvia for the GP quali and his hope of getting a permanent WC for next seasons GP's THJ in his own words......german though!
  21. Heard that Denmark won the meeting 70-26 against Sweden in Vojens.Anyone got full results???? Someone told me it was the best meeting they have ever seen!!!!!
