Poland i think are fairly certain,bar a disaster or two of winning this.The other places should,i hope be open.This is GB's best chance for ages of gaining a medal and if they all race to their full potential and a bit better then second place is a possibility.Not a great one mind,but there is a chance.Can't really see Bjerre going through the night without a race win or two on saturday though.But sadly Denmark and Sweden have fallen back a bit and Poland are probably stronger,so there is a gap.Denmark will miss Nicki and they don't in the short term look to have riders that will step up.As much as i have been a fan of Nicolai and Patrick i can't see them and the cheater being big players on the world stage in the next few years.Sweden also don't look to have anyone coming through in the short term......could be a few years of seeing the white eagle with the Fundin trophy.But surprises always seem to happen in speedway

Think that is how it works almost everywhere Mat,apart from Cardiff.Nicki not being in the Danish team is bound to diminish the crowd somewhat.He is the superstar and attracts a fair amount of support on his own.Still think the crowd should be around 7 or 8,000 for the final.Maybe even more.Still it isn't good to make all the support crew pay to get in,because Vojens isn't cheap

You can be sure of that Makes me sad to be British when someone comes on and tries to deflect the attention away from our boys great performance.I know if i was a Slovies standing around all day hoping for a British passport and a job it would make me sick to see a turncoat who drives hundreds of miles to support Australia of all countries and spends a tenner on a blooming flag.

Obviously no-one is going to agree or back down.My guess is you are after a holiday in Oz so are sliming up to the Schlein family If the Aarnio family was standing next to you it might be a different story.

The fact that Bydgoszcz were relegated didn't stop them hosting a GP.Just a shame that there are so few tracks in GB with (half?)decent facilities.

Don't think the Swedes have a decent replacement for Nermark.Ljung and Ruud have done some meetings in Denmark over the past seasons.Any of the youngsters will also struggle.Dennis Andersson maybe as he has done a number of Danish Superliga meetings.Is it worth throwing him in?Probably not.Think Denmark should do this and it will be between the Russian(who i hope show the form of last year)and Oz.Could be a good tight meeting and looks like the weather won't spoil the party this week South Jutland weather

Agree,a big well done to all.But let's not get carried away.We qualified at home against a weakened Aussie and Swedish side.See how we do in the Final before we can say the team rode above themselves and Mr Lyon is the best man for the job.If he gets a great performance from the boys and they take some good scalps in Vojens,then it is time to sing their praises

It isn't about deserving a Final.It is about which countries have a promoter willing to take the risk of shelling out for the Final.From the way the FIM seem to work you first need to host one of the quali rounds the previous year in all comps before you get the chance to host a Final.Sweden don't even seem to be ready to host one of the earlier rounds and so far Russia haven't either.Same with football.Countries only get the chance if they put in a good offer to host the World Cup Finals

Argument falls down on the fact there are a number of football clubs that play in a "foreign" league :rolleyes:It is though all pointless and crops up every year.It is TeamGB whether we like it or not.And the qualification is that any rider from GB can ride if selected.The fact that there are no Scots of Welsh good enough makes not one iota of difference.Let's change the record please people and just support the team picked Not that i like the idea of supporting a British team....yuk!

....and sadly for any real interest,this years SWC is a no contest.What with the wholesale slump in Denmarks(Bjerre not included)form and the under strength Aussies,Poland would win this year in any country.The only interest is in the minor placings and the hope of some good racesAnd the way it is looking Denmark fans might have to wait until the team is made up of Bjerres(Kenneth and Lasse) and Jensens(Michael Jepsen,Mikkel.B and Rasmus) before they win again.....
