Think this is something that needs to be cleared up.Is the kid riding for Russia or Ukraine? I know when he was supposed to ride in Skaerbaek in the YGT he was representing Russia. But lately he seems to be representing Ukraine.I think he has ridden in the Ukraine U21 championship.......maybe someone in the know will settle this?Bit like Laguta + Latvia maybe?

Was certainly far better than the usual GP stuff, but not sure i agree it was fantastic. The commentary team seemed on a mission to hype it up.One race the guy was over-excited but was actually saying something like "well that race didn't develop into the race i thought it would....." Good to see Harris do ok after the season Coventry are having i thought he was going to struggle like Tai did.As someone else said AJ should have done better.Looks like him and Hans are never going to really set the GPs alight.Definitely some great racing at times, that you could watch over and over -
Danish Championship Q-finals Outrup
iris123 replied to iris123's topic in International World of Speedway
No idea mate.Best bet is maybe to ask on the Holsted forum or send Stekkers an email..... Look 2 very good meetings. And seeing as only 4+1 from the first q-f and 3+1 from the second go through to the semi very tough battle for those places, -

Oz Youngster To Ride In Danish 80cc League

Saw the news a few days ago that young western Australia rider Cameron 'Camo´Heeps will ride in the Danish 80cc 1st division for Fjelsted.Remember seeing him a few years back in Denmark for the YGT.Wish him all the best and maybe his aunty(i know she is a member on here)will keep us updated.Been saying for a few years that the Aussie youngsters have a great attitude and it pays off.Wish one or two British kids would do the much shorter journey and make some trips over to Denmark.Hope to catch up with Camo sometime during the season -
Russian Rocket against Nicki P Nicki thinks the pressure of following on from Emils debut year will be too hard for the youngster. But the great Hans Nielsen who was watching Emil and gave him some tips in Poland earlier this year thinks he has what it takes to reach the top.Let's hope they both give us something to cheer about this season. We certainly need a good GP year.Let's get it on

Danish Championship Q-finals Outrup
iris123 replied to iris123's topic in International World of Speedway
Guess she has been squeezed out by the youngsters moving up from 80cc.Could have held a few quali heats i guess if there were more applications for places. But maybe she wasn't interested.Just have to wish her well with the girlie team and hope they all have an injury free season and hope i manage to capture a foto or two of her/them -
But i was still in Ice Racing mode back then

Who is this guy Mason?Seem to recall a rabid article from him on the subject of Egon Müller.Thought he was a New Zealander,so does he mean NZ when he writes "these shores"? Maybe Hoskins played an important role in introducing speedway to NZ?I have no idea how the sport started there

I thought there was some great races/meetings post Len Silver. The Kestrels team had some fantastic riders.Even as a South London Dons fan,i regularly travelled up to Hackney in this period. For a number of seasons i hardly missed a meeting i think
