Can you really say 283m is small? 220m like Dohren is small.260m is maybe small. But 280+ is an average track surely?

As a D graded rider he does quite well.Has an average just a bit better than Jørgensen, but a fair bit lower than Mikkel B.Jensen and a good bit better than Jonas B.But he has far more experience than those guys.I personally have never been impressed with the guy.But who knows, maybe he will take to the UK tracks like a duck to water.I can only see him struggling though as he imo isn't as good as Klaus Jakobsen or Jesper Kristiansen to name two.And really,to still be a D grade rider at his age shows he isn't developing, as most D grade riders are really youngsters in their first or second year on a 500cc ......or riders who have reached their level

Quali 2 1.M.P.Toft (3,2,3,3,3)14 2.M.B.Jensen (3,3,1,3,3)13 3.K.Nissen (2,3,2,3,2)12 4.M.Randrup (3,f,3,2,2)10 5.M.Vissing (2,1,2,2,3) 10 6.P.Karger (2,3,3,f.rem 0,1)9 7.E.Gröndal (1,1,3,0,3)8 7.P.Bjerregaard (3,1,2,2,-)8 7.T.Jörgensen (2,3,ex,1,2)8 10.A.Vad (r,2,1,3,1)7 10.K.D.Jensen (1,2,2,1,1)7 12.L.Kragh (1,2,0,1,2)6 Michael Palm Toft was the surprise winner.Very fast out of the gate and looked smooth.Mikkel B was left at the gate in his third ride and although he took Lasse Kragh and almost caught up with Kenni Nissen,it was too much of a task to come through on this track.Only rider to beat Palm Toft though.Of the other riders Randrup looked good but fell racing Jörgensen or he would have had at least 2 points more. And one of the real battlers of the day was Patrick Bjerregaard, whose points tally doesn't really match the effort he put in.Few of the walking wounded in the crowd including LiGlad and René Bach(although he wasn't walking, but sitting in his wheelchair)

I agree with you.Just to go and watch the meeting a have a chat and a drink is the best thing.I go and take fotos and tomorrow i will send some sort of updates to speedwayzone.dk.I try to help out as much as possible. But a few years back i just went to the Danish Final without my camera and it is great. The best way to be at a meeting. But a lot of these things can't happen without those behind the scenes helpers. My Grandad was a St.Johns man at Plough Lane for many years. But what i wanted to say was that i travel tomorrow not knowing the full line-up(Denmark is one of the worst countries for getting updated info. The line-up wasn't complete a few days ago and it is quite possible one or two riders have been injured in todays meetings. It is my choice though and if the meetings aren't good i can't really blame anyone. You take a chance with these things.I do tend to get more enjoyment out of the raw youngsters than i do from the top guys. The 80cc Euro Final is one of the meetings i am most looking forward to seeing this year

Crikey people......how can you say "fair comment" and then go on bickering? The only way to prove people wrong is out on the track. But then again just by the various opinions of various meetings the old adage goes...you can't please all of the people all of the time.I am off to Vojens in the morning to see two meetings full of young Danes.I wouldn't want to be helping out in the pits.I want to be watching great action, following the progress of some riders i have followed for a number of years, seeing some new guys and no injuries Oh,the post was deleted, which makes the first bit of my post read a bit strange.....wise decision

Mr Rising has already addressed this point. It was according to him, regime change that were not in favour of speedway.Must say though that they seem to be ok with Stock Cars.A week after the speedway GP that was staged 20,000 turned up to see a tv staged Stock Car meeting. This has been a yearly event from before the speedway GP up until the latest staging last October Stock Cars in Veltins Arena -

I may be wrong here, but i seem to remember a few years back when you were involved that you was predicting and even relishing the fact that there would be an extended tour away from Europe.I guess you were thinking Malaysia. But you must have also been thinking of somewhere like Oz,NZ as well -

World U21 Goes To Argentina
iris123 replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
Like i said,i can definitely see a few riders pulling out for various reasons if they are not in contention. And if someone has the title sewn up i could see them also pulling out.I hope not.I hope this is a success. But the riders shouldn't be out of pocket on this venture. You only have to see and read about the riders who pull out of travelling to Russia or who don't try to qualify if they know they will be going through to the next meeting in Russia.Happens a fair bit with speedway riders. The Ice Racing guys seem to be ok with the trips though.Marian Kreklau always asked to be given the Russian qualies, rather than Austria or Sweden or wherever!!!! -

Maybe the two meetings are to help it pay for the riders?Maybe the two meetings are to help it pay for the promoter?I was wondering if they have put two meetings on to try and make sure the title isn't already won in Europe. As you then might see a number of riders pull out through "injury"......Seem to think i remember problems with the Longtrack title being held in New Zealand.Riss or Barth wasn't happy about travelling down under -

Certainly hope so.But let us not forget there have been some dodgy European tracks that have held big meetings.Wiener Neustadt springs to mind -
I along with a fair number waqtched the meeting last night and thought it was pretty damn good. Not sure what you want from a speedway meeting, but i like riders overtaking opposition riders. And i am not the only one who thought that happened a fair bit last night.Scorelines are one thing and i guess they are of a lesser importance to me as a neutral fan. By all accounts a couple of the US meetings weren't close scorelines or good racing.Someone said previous tours have been good entertainment. But as i understood it,this is a slightly different venture. It isn't the Dream team any more and it isn't quite the same management team.So it shouldn't be riding on the back of the success of a previous tour.It has to stand alone. It might be about "living the dream" to the riders, but the punters want their monies worth.Good that it seems the cavalry are coming and hope the rest of the tour is a success.I have always been a fan of the American style razz-matazz that they can bring to speedway.I think speedway needs one or two top American riders. Not sure the previous tours have uncovered anyone who meets the criteria, but from little acorns.....

The reputation some of the Americans have i guess they have forgotten whole decades, let alone 1 meeting
