  1. Yes,but "who guard" is also miles away from the danish pronounciation
  2. This is the first year they have had a quali though isn't it?
  3. That is good news.I don't have to travel so far for a Superliga meeting, being selfish. But Ole doesn't put any money into VSK.He knows what is good for him.He just runs the GP/SWC stuff. No Superliga
  4. Yes thanks.I didn't even fill in the riders points in my programme, just the heat results. That is why i thought it would be easier to copy the results they gave me
  5. I only looked at the Brokstedt site and that is the same as my proggy. The woman who typed up the official results must have made a couple of mistakes, but the bloke who does the website got it right
  6. Hmmmm.Yes the results are wrong.Didn't bother looking at my programme, just copied them from the "official" results sheet i collected from the press office after the meeting!
  7. Loktajev looking good.Finns have a lot to do if they are going to catch up f-s-p
  8. How did i manage to quote you, before you had even posted????
  9. It is the same as turning up,but not wanting to qualify.I have heard it before and i heard it again yesterday...because the next round would be Austria and that is too far away!
  10. Yes(although Pijper was riding on a French licence wasn't he ) and no Norwegian either. This takes us back to previous discussions on meetings in Russia...Ukraine and the number of riders who drop out.And like i mentioned before, let us hope the number who drop out of travelling to Argentina are few
  11. Can't see aynthing about a stream, but there might be updates here U21 Hope so,and maybe some video coverage will come to light as well
  12. Was speaking to one of my journalist friends who comes from Bydgoszcz and he said the fans have more balls than the riders.Staying away because of the silencer problem, while the riders back down like wimps. He has written in his report that they should keep their helmets on at all times now,as they have lost their face
  13. Eeek!!! I thought last week was the deadline for the mag and i now have days and weeks to do this?????
  14. Yes.There was no run-off.Nicolai had packed his gear up.They said at first they were going to hold the presentation and then have the run-off.When i came off the track after the presentation the pits was pretty empty, but i saw Nicki Glanz carrying some of Nicolai's stuff away. Wojakzek only allowed 1 photographer at a time on the inside of the track. And also supposedly said they were not allowed to have a case or rucksack etc, just a camera!!!! A few times he also held the riders quite a long time at the tapes. And in one heat wouldn't let the tapes up because he said the riders were too close and one was not in their area.Think it was maybe Kling + Busch. The track stweard went out on the track got them to move apart, but he still wouldn't let the tapes up.Then the steward gesticulated that they were ok and i wondered what was going to happen here.....but in the end he started the race
  15. Results from todays Bundesliga meeting in Brokstedt Brokstedt 47 T.Kroner (2,1,2,2,1*,2*)10+2 K.Wölbert (1*,1,3,3,0,3)11+1 M.Kröger (2*,3,2*,e.f,2,2)11+2 S.Katt (3,1,1*,3,2,0)10+1 D.Maaßen (f.rem 0,3,2*,0,)5+1 Wolfslake 40 P.Pawlicki (3,2,6!,3,3,3,3)23 A.Gomolski (0,2*,2,2,1,1)8+1 M.Sekula (1,0,1,1*,0,1)4+1 M.Bartz (0,0,0,0,)0 K.Huckenbeck (3,f.x,1,1,0)5 Some good racing today and especially some great team riding by Matten.Riding with Katt is usually great to see. They cover each other so well. But they way Matten dropped back behind Danny Maaßen and then protected him from Sekula was team riding from the old school.Matten also had a great race with and was the only rider on the day to beat him.Prze was very fast, but his Polish compatriot didn't look as good as expected. And the Wolfs were let down by Matze Bartz who looked to be struggling with his bike in a few heats.A crowd of 3,500 should have gone away happy with the racing and the result
  16. 1. Maksim Bogdanow (Lt) - 15 (3,3,3,3,3) 2. Matej Kus (Cz) - 13 (2,2,3,3,3) 3. Ricky Kling (S) - 12 (3,3,3,1,2) 4. Lukas Dryml (Cz) - 11 (1,3,2,3,2) 5. Mathias Schultz (D) - 10 (2,3,2,3,0) 6. Marcin Sekula (D) - 9 (1,2,2,2,2) 7. Timo Lahti (Fin) - 8 (3,2,0,2,1) 8. Tobias Busch (D) - 8 (3,2,1,2,e.f) -------- 9. Nicolai Klindt (Dk) - 7+3 (ex.t,1,1,2,3) -------- 10. Roberto Haupt (D) - 7+2 (1,1,2,1,2) 11. Mathias Bartz (D) - 6 (2,0,3,0,1) 12. Jari Makinen (Fin) - 5 (2,1,1,1,0) 13. Marcel Helfer (D)- 4 (ex.t,1,0,0,3) 14. Tomas Suchanek (Cz) - 3 (1,e.f,0,1,1) 15. David Bellego (F) - 2 (0,0,1,0,1) 16. Dennis Helfer (D) - 0 (0,0,0,0,-) 17. Marco Gaschka (D) - 0 (0,0,e.f) Well copied this from sportowefakty and they have Nicolai going through after a run-off!!!Unless they got Nicolai back there was no run-off as far as i know.At least i saw Nicki Glanz as he was packing Nicolai's gear away... Can't say it was a great meeting. Not too many passes.Timo Lahti was very lucky. Was supposed to meet jari in Copenhagen, but Jari couldn't wait.So Timo had to make his own way to Rostock where he was picked up by one of the Stralsund staff.Missed the parade, but just managed to get there in time for the first heat and came out an won it Jari really ballsed it up in his last heat.Up against M.Helfer who only had 1 point up until then and the French guy.He should have been assured on paper of 2 points at least,he totally missed the gate and couldn't do anything after that.Nicolai struggled after touching the tapes in his first heat.Surprise for me was Matze Schultz. So often looks good in German competition, but falls short in International. This season he has struggled a bit so far,but was the only one to give Bogdanovs a scare.Heat 12 was one of the best heats as matze came past Maksim, only for Maksim to pass him on the next bend
  17. Glad i didn't go then.Sorry Arnie, had to work a couple of hours longer than expected and then the motorway and side roads were jammed anyway. So i decided to stay at home. What happened to Michelsen?Only had 3 rides and scored 2 points!
  18. Football fans were doing that back in the 80s whilst singing "Weeeere bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy la lalala la.....".But that does seem to be more impressive and the accompanying song seems a bit better as well.Even if i can't understand a word apart from Labado
  19. Been saying for years that a few overseas riders can only be of benefit.Nearly every year people like scribbler are against it and think there are enough riders out there just waiting to fill all the league positions.Crazy decision imo.
  20. Yer all bloody weirdo#s if you ask me.Sat at home watching it on the box and you want to download a scorecard and fill it out! The scores come up on the tv anyway.....sometimes i despair at speedway fans.
  21. Should do.Not that strong a line-up.The Germans normally disappoint in these meetings.Remember a few years back when Schultz was doing quite well he flopped and only got a couple of points.Suchanek really impressed me a few years back at Stralsund.Must have been the same meeting Matze flopped in.Pity there are no Poles as i thought two were supposed to be there.Pity Kling is there as i was hoping for someone a bit more exciting from Sweden I can see Bogdanov, the Czechs and Klindt fighting it out for the top spots. After that it is anyones guess.Kling and your two boys could make it.It isn't a new track for Jari + if he can ride as agressively as last year in Holsted he should do well.Think last time in Stralsund he had problems with his bikes.Tobi might have a great meeting on his home track. And Helfer has managed one or two impressive results, but as i say the Germans more often than not struggle.
  22. Well with the Vojens meeting postponed or maybe even cancelled altogether if they can't get some money from somewhere, the Superliga starts on friday in Outrup.Hopefully i can make it up for what should be a busy weekend what with Stralsund saturday and then the short trip to Brokstedt sunday...... Outrup Speedway Club Niels Kr. Iversen (A) Mads Korneliussen (B Kenni Larsen (B Michael Palm Toft © Patrick Tarp (D) . Slangerup Speedway Klub Jesper B Monberg (.B Miroslaw Jablonski (.B Kenneth Kruse Hansen (.B Nicki Barrett © Mikkel Michelsen (D) Not too sure if Tarp is ok to ride.He pulled out of the Neuenknick meeting injured on sunday.Outrup look very strong from 1-4 anyway, although i do think Kenni Larsen goes better in England than Denmark.
  23. ....and here is the heat before and what sportowefakty at the time described as a"phenomenal" battle between Chris Harris and Michael Jepsen Jensen
  24. Doesn't really tie-up.If he died in 1938 and your nan was 3 years old,she couldn't have seen him at Perry Bar as it only ran in 1929-30 then had a 40 year break.
