  1. I see a couple of the Gorzow youngsters are riding in the Danish 1.Division for experience.Pawel Parys + Lukasz Cyran ride today for Holstebro.
  2. Just wait for someone to say Milli Vanilla for Vili Mattila ....saw Miikka along with Vili last year.Think he was the best Finn at Vojens
  3. Exactly.I have seen some of these kids riding since they were 12 and even on the small 80cc bikes7tracks they were no different.highly competitive on track, but good friends off it.I said in 2006(searched through some stuff i posted here back then yesterday)that Liglad was like a little Nicki Pedersen.Him and Mikkel B want to win everything. And have the belief that they can do it.If they are involved in a few crashes on the way to the top i for one wouldn't be surprised.Same with Dennis Andersson.Another i have seen crash a few times and one i tipped back in 2006 as "one for the future"
  4. I was at the Wimbledon meeting, but looking back.....there were some quality riders in that Hackney meeting
  5. Having had a chat with one of the riders ivolved it was according to him "nothing to do with the silencers"
  6. I would be careful in believing the word of a Polish rider who was using the new silencers for the first time and didn't do very well.In fact his poor performance would be the main reason why home team Vojens lost the meeting. So maybe he is looking for excuses anyway. Was it down to the silencers or the track or just one of those things? The fact is at Fjelsted just 50km or so away they didn't have any problems. The problem could well have been the youngsters being over enthusiastic. The last incident in the last heat Kenni Larsen took out Jepsen Jensen + Mikkel B.Both ended up in hospital. But these things did happen with the old silencers.According to one Danish young gun i was talking to he was rather surprised that Nicki P had said there were problems with the silencers. He told me they are different and you have to ride slightly different. But maybe it is a rider problem rather than the silencers themselves. He even said he thought the new silencers were better from the gate than the old ones
  7. It is difficult enough to get into the country i think A Polish friend of mine asked me if i wanted to accompany him to the European Final. But he said he wouldn't drive across the border because you might have to wait 5 or more hours. We would fly in and hire a car.But riders generally drive with their gear.Talked to one who was recently there and it took 3 hours on the way in,but 8 to get out!!!!
  8. If i remember rightly, didn't they start the war by throwing some guys out of a window in Prague?Did see a programme on Wallenstein a while back.Got a bit too big for his boots in the end.Nice little background history there.
  9. Looks like he will be saying "Lee Richardson, turd!" quite a bit
  10. Think if he is still 20 at the start of the season he is ok
  11. The atmosphere might be brilliant, unfortunatelly the same can't be said of the speedway. Can'T say it is anything more than bad luck on the part of the tv company, but the EL has given consistently better racing than the Polish speedway shown so far.Maybe Sky are just better at picking meetings?Maybe there are one or two problems at the moment in Poland?A number of juniors seem way out of their depth. The tracks are maybe poorly prepared?Must say i am generally no big fan of the EL,but this season so far the racing has been pretty good. Then again i don't think i have seen a meeting from Belle Vue,which is normally atrocious
  12. not sure how the result from the final helps, when he wants the results from the quali in yugoslavia!!!
  13. Done the same thing before at the Jancarz Memorial at Gorzow. And the year i was there they gave Zorro a very special race jacket to thank him for his service to the club.Great tough and it was a super looking jacket
  14. Results from Danish speedway league site Niels Kr. Iversen - 13 point Ulrich Østergaard - 12 point Kenneth Kruse Hansen - 10+3 point Jonas B Andersen - 10+2 point Nicki Barrett - 9 point Jesper B Monberg - 9 point Peter Kildemand - 8 point Nicolai Klindt - 8 point Patrick Hougaard - 8 point Michael Jepsen Jensen - 7+3 point (1. reserve) Charlie Gjedde - 7+R (2. reserve) Patrick Nørgaard - 7+R Michael Palm Toft - 6 point Mikkel B Jensen - 3 point Lasse Bjerre - 2 point Krister Jakobsen - 1 point Mikkel Michelsen - 0 point Tommy Pedersen - DNS
  15. What is going on with Holland?Last week the two riders didn't come to Stralsund + now this!!Not as if it is the other side of Europe. It is just a neighbouring country and they still can't send any riders!!!
  16. Can't seem to get anything. And i wanted to watch Mikkel B in Malmö....and maybe Jari +Timo for Rospig
  17. Matze Schultz replaces Tommy Stange As for Kevin. There are "issues".The reason given is that Kevin will miss practice, but there is more to it than that
  18. I have said it before. In my opinion there isn't a British rider outside of Harris that deserves being in a GP.That said,we would be kidding ourselves to think the British GP would only have 1 Brit and a foreign wildcard.Ain't likely to happen unless the next best Brit was Deek Sneddon
  19. Zagar has had his chance.Miedzinski i can't see him ever being anything more than a "making up the number" rider in the Protasiewicz mould.I wish Grigory had qualified rather than his little brother, but he didn't.Ward has the makings of a top rider. But having said that i wouldn't have anything against Grigory getting a chance this season. But he has had a few already.Ward hasn't
  20. Agree + disagree. The first part is fine....but the standyby riders are generally no big deal.If there is a real inform rider like Darcy Ward is,then i think they should get a go.And if they hold their own amongst the regular GP riders then i think they should get another....It also goes back to the statement that spook ideally wants the best 16 riders....but how are you going to get that?Holding qualis the year before won't get you the best 16 riders of that year let alone the year after. One or two will lose form and someone else will improve...If we are going to have the best in form rider getting the WC(apart from those countries where financially a local is needed),then that to me is the best solution.
  21. He does seem to constantly change his mind,mid-word......almost unlistenable the bloke is.At least this bloke is good for a laugh
  22. Oh i don't know....i could quite get used to hearing "Jason Crump turd"..........insert any rider you ain't too keen on
  23. Got to give him a chance.....but a rider changing their vehicle!!! and not sure if i heard right but thought he said they were sweeping the track. Then again Ermolenko called a wheelie a "wheel stand"....not even sure if that is an americanism
