  1. Smederna is my Swedish side as well.Since the days at Wimbledon of the Jansson brothers and Salomonsson who were all Wimbledon/Smederna riders.Think Gote Nordin was also. But we had a meeting against Smederna as a memorial to Tommy when he died
  2. Should be 3 meetings live again.Just click on the link above.I hope to see the Gnistorna v Smederna meeting
  3. I agree with you there Alan.Only problem for me is that so far i haven't been able to watch the Allsvenskan live.Only the archived stuff days later.Fingers crossed it comes through live and clear later though And if all goes well, sunday i will be taking my kids to their first ever meeting....watching a youth tournament at Vojens,so i won't be able to see the Polish meetings
  4. Seriously tempted to make the journey down to Diedenbergen for this Danish team Michael Jepsen Jensen Mikkel B.Jensen Michael Palm Toft Jonas B.Andersen Lasse Bjerre Look pretty damn good and should be there or there abouts Finland Kalle Katajisto Jari Mäkinen Niko Siltaniemi Mika Loppi Timo Lahti spoilers. Can't see them really challenging, but they will take points off some and end up helping to decide who goes through Germany Kai Huckenbeck Mercel Helfer Danny Maaßen Michel Hoffmann Andre Mochner Some talent in the side, but can't see them doig an awful lot.Maybe a heat win or two,but will be lucky if they don't finish last
  5. Have absolutely no idea what you are going on about in the first part of your post.No idea whatsoever.hand on heart Maybe you would just like in a calm moment,go back through this thread and have a look at who took it of on a tangent and who seemed to get more and more hysterical with every post Drama Queen comes to mind We are friendly folk here in the International section.Always willing to help each other out with information.Think there are other sections of the forum where your OTT posts fit in better.I had a bit of a chuckle, just like you can when a kid gets hysterical......as long as it isn't your own But time to draw a line under this and maybe practice what you preach and keep to one thread rather than posting the same thing on a number in different sections.Gets a bit confusing for those in the other one
  6. Yes i saw the results + the foto of Simon on the rostrum I might make it up for the semi's.Have to see how things are Really pleased to see how well Mikkel done last night.Hope he keeps that form up in Malmö . Report on Mikkel Michelsen here
  7. Well i did hear from a very good source that a certain Austrian rider is now riding as an Italian in the hope that he gets the WC!!!
  8. You seem to have some sort of mental problem. All i said on the subject was i didn't think he was very good,so i watched the Swedish commentary.I did'nt bother to disect each and every comment i didn't like....i just switched over.If that disturbs you in some way i guess you need help We all have the right to choose.Live with it
  9. You're making yourself look a bit of a twanny now.Best leave it.....i have commented on the speedway!!!! Ignoring manchesterpaul and posting what i was going to before such nonsense As i said before i didn't actually find jonssons ride that exciting even though he passed two riders. But that ride by Lindgren was exciting even though he didn't pass anyone. The last two rides by Freddie are what i go to watch speedway for.Great stuff.Starting to warm to the kid after the past two days......
  10. Is that the Royal "we"?You seem to be a lone voice. Not sure who else you are speaking for.but like Ghostie says, let#s not reduce this thread to breaking down what the commentator says.Good or bad.It has all been done to death. That was the ride of the meeting from Fast Freddie there
  11. The guy gets paid to do a job.He isn't that good, let's face it.I switched to the Swedish commentary long ago.
  12. Lakeside last night saw more action than this track.Rain has probably put paid to any good racing.Follow the leader here :cry:Typical....post that, then Jonsson goes from 3rd to 1st.Not that is was a terribly exciting 3rd to 1st.But overtaking all the same
  13. Looks like it has had a good bit of rain at the track.Hope for a good meeting
  14. Injured riders are repalced by the qualified reserves. That means Zetterström,Jonasson etc
  15. Great pity as he is a good prospect.maybe he will do another year in Denmark instead?
  16. I took a few of Nanna of course. She looked so sweet when she turned up with her little dog.But i didn't take any photos of that.I would rather a few of her pussy No.You know what i mean Holsted
  17. Well the next two weekends will show how strong Denmark will be this year.Malmö + Diedenbergen. But on home territory the Russians could have a big part to play and must be contenders for a silver at least
  18. Not quite as young as Emil once.Didn't he qualify only for it to be found that he was too young to enter? Remember it because Kevin was in the same quali
  19. And i was thinking about going to this as well.According to google maps it should only take 150 minutes to get there.Pretty much the same as yesterdays trip to Holsted. But i didn't think the line-up was worth the petrol. You never can tell.Good result Jesper
  20. Well he started at Crewe in 71 and got an average of 8.98 from 38 meetings.Very impressive as apparently he only started riding speedway in the november of 1970!!!!.He then rode 41 meetings and got an average of 11.13 with 21 full and 4 paid maximums in 72
  21. Not sure on what grounds you question this. But Phil rode 71 +72 for Crewe in Div 2 before moving up to Div 1 for King's Lynn in 73 where he was injured very early on and missed most of the season. But Australian + New Zealand riders could ride in Div 2 in the 60s/70s
  22. I said earlier it was crazy to continue. If that wasn't a GP it would have been called off far far earlier. The riders wouldn't have continued if it was an EL meeting. The FIM know the importance of trying to continue with the meeting rather than call it off.Unless they knew the rain was going to stop, it was daylight robbery that Dick Turpin would have been proud of
  23. Just watched on and off,but judging from what Jason said about the track before and the way he slid off and the fact the rain seems to be hammering down it seems crazy to carry on the meeting
  24. Back from a thoroughly enjoyable day at Holsted.Had a chat to Mads Korneliussen(on crutches with damaged knee ligaments)+ Michael Palm Toft about wednesdays meeting at Vojens.Mads did say the track was crap and the new silencers were to cause for one or two of the incidents. He said rain had made the top surface like soap and the inconsistency along with the silencer caused the bikes to shoot off.On the other hand Palm Toft said the track was brilliant and he was riding round the outside of people like a good un!!!So you pays your money and you take your choice on the subject. Up first and the cause of me having to get up earlier than i thought, because Peter S and his team wanted the 80cc meeting run at 10:00 rather than the previously advertised 16:00 That is because they want to watch the GP and before that they have to get the bikes ready for tomorrows YGT qualis. So thanks Peter No,it was good to see you again if you look in.And good luck to Simon tomorrow Apparently there were 6 of the 8 riders that are in the Danish national squad in todays meeting,so i unknowingly picked a good one Also forgot to mention the little ginger haired kid kitted out in Jason Crump colours Holsted 42 P.Josefsen 8 S.Simonsen 3 E.Skalshøj 5 M.S.Hansen 11 S.Jensen 15 Slangerup 33 A.L.Hansen 11 M.Embacher 4 J.V.Hansen 5 S.Selch 8 M.Nielsen 5 Fjelsted 31 C.Olsen 7 F.Jakobsen 14 K.Andersen 6 M.Jensen 1 E.Engstrøm 3 Herning 14 M.B.Andersen 6 R.Cavazzi 2 T.Mikkelsen 3 L.Pørtner 2 C.Cavazzi 1 In the 500cc i missed 1 heat talking to someone,so can't give the results until i see the final scores!!!But Klaus jakobsen,Jesper Kristiansen and Mikkel Michelsen led Glumsø to victory and Outrup only really had a great performance from Michael Palm Toft to be happy about. As ever Patrick Bjerregaard was fighting all the way for Holsted and Rasmus Jensen had a good comeback from injury.Esbjerg were led by Charlie Gjedde and another good meeting from Kasper Lykke Nielsen.Nanna Jørgensen was just beautiful......
