  1. Like i said before Camo has made a good few friends in Denmark since he first came over a few years back.Spent quite a bit of time riding in the 80cc league last year.So if he can't get proper meetings in GB,i hope he might consider the rest of the season in Denmark again
  2. Lol....thought it would impress you.Pity you couldn't take a bit more time to add anything more seeing as you were the one going on about "very little discussion"
  3. Seems reigning champs Denmark are not going to send a team to Russia. The cost of flying riders + equipment out are 4 times the yearly budget. To travel by road will take at least 4 days each way and the problem of bandits makes it hard to get insurance.Australia + Sweden are also not happy, but haven't as yet pulled out Denmark U21
  4. Good report on the Bergring from a German magazine, with a nice history and some good fotos of the place back in communist days titled "Sodom & Motorbikes" Bergring
  5. Reports trackside that there is more banking on the bends than normal and track looks good.Plenty of press coverage for this one.Olsen thinks the Danes should go well.Good report on Mikkel B and how he looks up to Crump as well.Fingers crossed for the youngster. But this is just the start for him.Not make or break
  6. 9 from each of the 5 meetings + 1 wilcard at each of the three next meetings =48
  7. He said quite a few times "My team is here tonight..." So unless Stead was in the crowd somewhere i took it to mean he wasn't getting picked or he didn't want to ride. One of the two
  8. Here is the race card for Denmark.5 man teams and 14 heats. So it isn't the same as the others Superliga
  9. It's the big speedway weekend coming up here in the North.Friday at Güstrow another round of the Mecklenberg-Vorpommern Chapionship. Then sat night after the Bergring qualis is the big meeting at Teterow which i have already posted about. Then sunday is the Pfingstpokal in Güstrow after the big meeting wearlier on at the Bergring.Plenty of track action all within about 30 miles. The line-up for sunday at Güstrow Christian Hefenbrock Tobias Kroner Roberto Haupt Tobias Busch Mathias Schultz Edward Kennett GB Oliver Allen GB Kauko Nieminen SF Henning Bager DK Lukas Dryml CZ Timo Lahti SF Taylor Poole AUS Kevin Wölbert Adrian Gomolski PL Ronnie Jamrozy PL Tyson Burmeister USA Should be a very good meeting on the best race track in the north.Weather allowing.Hope Eddie is in the same sort of form he was in last night
  10. The greatest ever rider on ice now tries his luck on the legendary grasstrack, the Teterow Bergring. And he will also have one or two familiar faces alongside him.The Klatovsky brothers from CZ will also be appearing.Nikolai normally does MotoX in the summer months,so it won't be so unfamiliar to him.But this is according to the late great Simon Wigg the longest, hardest, but most beautiful track in the world.Good luck Nikolai.Hope we still get to see you on the ice next season though Bergring line-up And line-up for the speedway the same weekend in the stadium next door Mathias Schultz D Tobias Kroner D Christian Hefenbrock D Sebastian Ulamek PL Ronnie Jamrozy PL Kacper Gomolski PL Adrian Gomolski PL Miroslaw Jablonski PL Oliver Allen GB Edward Kennett GB Norbert Magosi HUN Henning Bager DK Kauko Nieminen FIN Peter Ljung SWE Andreij Karpov Ukraine Alexandr Loktajew Ukraine Reserve: Mathias Bartz D Dennis Wienke D
  11. Although the winner of the meeting in Slovakia was riding in Denmark friday night
  12. Oh bugger.Just found this was streamed live....just watching the presentation......
  13. A good win for LiGlad though. And only 4th place for the peoples choice for a GP wildcard!!!
  14. It never said the meeting was called off did it?Not from reading the german forum where the updates originate. Seems Josh has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.only suspected though from the german site.Let's hope it isn't that bad
  15. It is a sad fact that there aren't many good tracks in Denmark.Fjelsted + Holsted really from those i have seen. Can't say anything about Holstebro. But there are only so many times you can hold the meetings at Holsted or Fjelsted.Pity though as the racing and also the attendance is better.Think it was 4 or 5,000 when i have attended the Finals at both venues.2,700 might be good for Slangerup, but is poor for a big meeting really.Still,Peter S is a Slangerup member.Maybe he can give us inside info,as i saw Mikkel B posted a foto before the meeting started with the words "awesome track"....So it might just be Kenneth blaming something else for his poor performance Actually it is a pity you didn't link to the original article and just a copy, because it was brought to my attention this morning. And because of the photo showing Mads recieving medical attention. Now i know the photographer personally.I was only with him wednesday at Holsted and we speak quite a bit.But is this sort of photo unacceptable?.It isn't something i would take. And i have seen one photgrapher get a lot of stick from the crowd and other photographers for taking something similar Ekstrabladet
  16. f-s-p answered this a few pages back i seem to remember
  17. Then i guess he has to hope for a wildcard into next years series.Would seem a very slim chance of him getting one though. He has to hope that no Dane qualifies of right. And even then you would expect Nicki to get a wildcard before Kenneth.Darcy Ward seems to be set for one wildcard if he hasn't already qualified. It is though a bit too early to try and work out all the possible wildcard scenario's
  18. Just the points from the 20 heats are carried over
  19. 2nd round is 05.08 in Esbjerg.Has it ever been held over 3 rounds?
  20. I thought the Danish tv company pulled out of all but GPs.Lack of money. But there are live updates on the Danish League site and normally Nicki Ps website as well
  21. 2nd Bundesliga meeting of the season and a tight one if not too exciting on a hard slick track ST Wolfslake - 43 1. Rafał Okoniewski (2*,3,2,3,3,2*) - 15+2 2. Ryan Sullivan (3,3,3,3,2*,3) - 17+1 3. Marcin Sekula (2,F.x,e.f,0,0,0) - 2 4. Steffen Mell (0,0,0,1,0) - 1 5. Kai Huckenbeck (1,2,3,1,1) - 8 AC Landshut - 41 7. Martin Smolinski (1,1*,1,3,1*,3) - 10+2 8. Lee Richardson (0,2,2,2,2*,1) - 9+1 9. Frank Facher (3,2,3,1*,2,0) - 11+1 10. Max Dilger (1,1*,3,2,1,2*) - 10+2 11. Marcel Helfer (0,1(15 m due to tapes),0,0) - 1 Flyin Ryan was pretty well untouchable today and was well backed up by Okoniewski.Rafal still carrying an injury and seemingly upsetting the Poles by not riding in the Polish q-finals.But he is sponsored by Herr Mauer of Wolfslake and he isn't a man to mess with.If he puts his money into a rider he expects them to fullfill their duties. He did supposedly give one of his riders a right hander because he thought he was under-performing!And he accused a team of deliberately throwing a meeting. So controversy follows him a little Szombierski won't be in his good books for pulling out of this, as his replacement Mell, almost caused a home track defeat with a poor performance. For the Wolves, Huckenbeck was also very impressive.Mixed bag for the Landshut Devils.Lee did have one good race with Ryan, but was a bit disappointing. Was also not overly impressed with young Helfer, who was last weekend dumped from the German U21 team. The scores were always close even if the racing wasn't anything like last nights Superliga meeting Fotos
  22. I don't disagree with you Dave.In some ways you are right.A number of riders will feel p'd off for sure. But Denmark needs to look to the future.I don't think Nicki will be right up there into his 40's like Greg or Tomasz etc.And Hans,Bjarne and Puk are not good enough for the GPs(at least top 8).There is nothing more i would like than to see Nicolai become a top rider, but my hopes are rather fading now even though i still think he is progressing. Can't see him being more than another Puk though. So it is between Jepsen Jensen,Lasse,Kenni Arendt and Mikkel.Well like f-s-p mentioned, you only have to look at who sponsors Mikkel. You might get upset at the idea, but i think you just need to look back at Iversen and Protasiewicz's inclusion in previous years to see a sponsor can help.We have to be realistic about this.BSI/IMG take financial matters as well as riding ability into account. But having said that,i think he is Denmarks best hope for a future world title
  23. Really good meeting last night at Holsted.Holsted 42 -Holstebro 42.Some good battles between Nicki + Bjarne.Nicolai getting stuck in.Was very impressed with young Loktaev and his comrade Karpov wasn't far behind.Unfortunately he had a crash and hurt his shoulder.Got to say all the riders gave a good account of themselves.Good to see Kevin in his new kevlars,Jonas B,Patrick Bjerregaard a bit unlucky as ever,Henrik Möller seems to be getting back to the form he was in a few years back. And Risager was in the pits with Nicolai and looking cheery and showing off his finger. Apparently Nicki had a crash with an Elk on his way back from Sweden.Seems JJ was very lucky.Couple of minutes before he got out of the passenger seat to have a sleep. That is where the Elk impacted and those things are bloody big and do a lot of damage. Hope for another good meeting today in Wolfslake
  24. Exactly. These threads are about more than just the racing anyway imo. Thanks again for the info.It all helps to broaden our knowledge of Swedish speedway
