You are so right. Some things you just do for a job and or money It would take a hell of a lot to get me into a Rangers or West Ham top But i wouldn't mind joining Alan for a Penguins v Flyers game...do they have picnic tables at the hockey? -

How could he wear such a thing?????? -
Not impressed with the choice of ref.Fingers crossed for good weather. If only for the sake of Lars + Jacky who have travelled all the way up from Bochum for this. But they do have 6 meetings in Denmark on their agenda as well Good luck to all and may the best 3 get through
-
In Scandinavia they usually jump straight onto 500cc from the 80cc.Big jump i guess and i do think that the Danes at least take a bit of time to really get going on 500s.It is a bit chaotic with all these classes.I know some kids in Germany like Möser and Dittner have opted out of the German system of 125cc +250cc to ride mainly in Denmark. In fact Dominik Möser now lives in Denmark rather than in Germany

Jason looked very good. One of the few riders to do some proper passing without relying on mistakes from the oppo.Moi was also very good.Battled hard and in one heat took Ahlbom on the line after the Finn thought he had the heat and slowed.None too happy with himself and left his bike by the pit gates.Jason is of course half Ozzie. Before he had both the Danish and Australian flags on his kevlars and rode in Crumpie colours. Now he has the boxing kangaroo on his racesuit.Looks a very good talent Report and some fotos on the Elgane site G.Moi

Denmark all the way Can't see anyone beating Poland, just hope the Danes are on fire and get second.Bit worried about one or two of them though...... -
11 Danes in the final.Very open though i think.Kurtz looking good, but i will have to cross my fingers for Kacper on his home track.Got to know him and his father well over the past few years.Great people and wish i could have taken up the invite for the YGT.Good luck to all though

I was at the meeting and my programme is the same as Norbolds

I didn't even bother leaving Hamburg.Been raining wuite heavy on and off for a few days and saw the forecast for sunday and went shopping with the kids instead

Like so many here my memories as a Dons fan are of Tommy Jansson winning against Martin Ashby who was a real favourite of mina at the time.He also went on to help us out so often he was almost a Dons rider after Tommy lost his life.Great riders both. The races against Jessup to defend the helmet as well. Then my only other real memory was my only visit to Cradley Heath.I went especially for the races between Erik + Hans,as it was the golden helmet and then Cradley v Oxford.Erik won in the helmet match races and then went on to have a terrible meeting for him.Only got about 6 points and i think Oxford might have won.Was worth the money travelling up from London though

Gp 2012 Qualifiers
iris123 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Great recovery from Kevin I know he is struggling a bit talking to someone in his team this week.New silencer giving him problems with his gating and he had trouble with his seat last week and had to improvise during the meeting in Güstrow. So great to come out after two ducks and beat Iversen -
That is an exageration, which is ununsual for you.No-one any where is making such a statement.Point it out if someone is.What some people are saying, myself included is i can only see the benefit in including a limited number of foreign riders.Clearly that is easy to understand and not go OTT about.

Forgot to mention, but in a few minutes for anyone who has NDR there will be a report on the teterow meeting.Sorry for the late remark Hour long programme.Just had a good interview with Toni Klatovsky in German. If i understood correctly the winner of the Green Ribbon was wearing one of Simon Wiggs suits that was given to him Nice report on the speedway, nice start girls and good tribute to Vince Kinchen -

From what i have seen the report say the probability of rain is very small in that area.So doesn't sound like it is going to affect the meeting adversly. -
Body language says a lot.He seemed totally different to 6 weeks or so ago in Stralsund.Don't think anyone got the trademark thumbs up foto of Timo in Güstrow.Big leap to take into the EL.Good if it works, hard if you start to struggle Fotos from Güstrow

-
I think Mikkel showed he was worthy of that spot, even if Red Bull helped him a bit Mad Croc will quite possibly get the spot at Vojens Had to laugh at LiGlad saying "Didn't drop a point all night in my first GP"
-
I share your opinion on this Ghostie.I think he got it right on that occasion.
-
Helfer does the honest thing.Decides he can't afford to go through as a reserve and lets Lukas Simon win.He then gets punished.Denmark also had that opportunity as they knew what points tally they shouldn't beat to get through.I guess they could easily have reached one point below Poland and then pulled out with e.f in the remaining heats.Secher could also one or two days before the final just tell the FIM too many of his riders are ill and he can't send a team, leaving the organisers in the crap.It will be interesting to see if one of the other teams drop out.Poland will surely send a team now.But of course you have to feel for the Russian promoters, riders and fans when this sort of thing continually happens in International meetings there.Look at how many Russian rider make up the line-up in UEM meetings for instance. It is a sad side of the sport, but if the finances aren't there you can't expect youngsters to pay out thousands from their own coffers which many don't have And like i said when Argentina was announced,i expect many of the riders who find themselves out of contention to suddenly become ill.I can obly forsee a farce. But do feel sorry for the Argentinian guys of course. It is a world sport and the FIM need to promote the sport worldwide. But they need to find the sponsorship/finances for such ideas beforehand

And we mustn't forget the two rounds of the individual title planned for Argentina next year! It is hard to finance for a kid of 17,18 etc.Secher says if they do the road trip his riders will have to cancel meetings that would have made them money. But on the other hand i guess you have to ask how the Russians manage to do the trip in the opposite direction.I was asking that in Holsted last week about the young Ukrainian riders who are riding in the Superliga.Loktaev,Karpov etc.Guess they live in Poland which makes the journey a lot easier
-
Absolutely Alan.A lot of people on the net were criticising the decision. Not here i must say....or not only here. One guy went beserk saying Poland and Denmark are killing speedway with thses decisons. But the kid is class. And i have said that for a few years.....Go Mikkel
-
Sure thing.I tend to follow riders i have seen in person. So having seen Camo way back in 2008 riding individually and for the young Australian team that included Taylor Poole,Alex Davies and the amazingly talented Arthur Sissis i do have a bias towards him.But that doesn't mean i want him in a team illegaly and in place of a young British rider who is trying his best to make a career in our sport.I certainly wish all the best to both riders
