  1. I for one am glad the forum filter changed it,as i would have no idea what "frabury" meant. So which one are you? An old person or the other one?
  2. The only time i am sure i saw him was when Australia got thrashed at Wimbledon by NZ in 73.Was obviously past his best or at least had an off night. But Plough Lane was pretty much a home fixture for NZ
  3. Oh yes.Bundesliga final tomorrow in Wolfslake for instance
  4. The Czech channel always seemed to have a good archive of meetings.Mainly GPs and Czech league.Have to admit that i have never bothered to see if the show the league live. But all you have to do is look at the Czech fixture list and watch the schedules when you know a meeting is coming up. have to say looking at the riders in the Final, that was an extreeeeemly poor Zlata Prilba line up
  5. Why do you think that is the most important criteria?Personally i would like a rider who adds something to the series over the course of the GP season, not just once in a very blue moon like Lindgren and Harris. And to add to that we also have Pepe and Bjarne next year.Another couple of bluemooners if ever there were I do think Laguta is capable of bringing a bit more and even possibly a few podium finishes. But that isn't for me so important as adding some excitement most meetings
  6. I still don't get it.How on earth does Pusey rate among the best of British since 63 or anytime? Was he better than Hedge,Pratt,McMillan,Luckhurst or even John Davis?I would rate Pusey alongside riders like Reg Wilson and Doug Wyer maybe. But no way would he be in a top 20 British riders unless you were narrowing it down to the 70s
  7. One of the weirdest comments on here.No way was Pusey equal to any of those riders imo.
  8. Sentiments along these lines have been posted on here probably hundreds if not thousands of times. Nothing changes though. Not quite sure about the wave of talent from Russia. We had the big hype about 4 or 5 years ago and they certainly lived above their means back then. The crowds might have stayed healthy, but the league had become something of a shambles. And even the talent seems to be changing alleigance.Just have to have followed Grigori's attempts to become a Latvian and Loktaev for instance becoming a Ukrainian.Something is not quite right. In fact i think you will probably find that the people running speedway in both Russia and Ukraine make the BSPA look good.where there is money and civic power there is corruption.A couple of the Mega Lada bigwigs have been bumped off i think. And there was big trouble at Trofimovs club in Ukraine trying to oust him.....Having said that i do like the look of both Loktaev and Bogdanow when i have seen them. Not of course that Bogdanow is Russian
  9. Isn't wednesday tha main night for Danish Superliga? Not the only night. But i thought the idea was that they can attract riders who ride in Sweden on tuesday.Brovst for instance were relying heavily on Polish riders who rode in Sweden tuesday.maybe it has changed now somewhat. On the other hand, i can't see the 8 meetings in Russia being a major problem to avoid. How many of the riders are in the EL?
  10. Long may it continue Alan.Good health to you and have a nice weekend
  11. Blimey Alan, you go back a long way.I feel old having over the past few years getting to know Miras + Kacper Wornya. The son and grandson of former Pirate Toni, who i remember seeing.Just love seeing the next and the next generation at the tracks. But certainly makes me feel old when i see young Kacper out on the track
  12. Fingers crossed for a Danish win Unfortunately i am off out for the day,so won't be able to see any action.Just hope for a good meeting and no injuries.Same for the Polish final afterwards.Enjoy all
  13. Thanks Jacky.I knew you could be relied uopn to once again bring a little part of my life in order Don't forget to remind me about hotels in Berlin
  14. Seems the meeting will be streamed live at 13:00 british time here
  15. Yeah,i know the phrase exists.Just like "don't bite the hand that feeds you" or any other phrase where nashers are concerned....i was asking is it the right phrase Living for more than a decade in a non english speaking country i admit i get confused sometimes.......
  16. I'm sorry for asking a question then I'll find an english language one to ask it on.or maybe ask one of my foreign friends.they seem to know english better than many of the natives
  17. English lesson needed here....do Coventry need to bite their tongue or bite the bullet?
  18. Jacky should have the proper results. It was too wet for me to even bother filling in a programme
  19. Just a few photos from me as well Holsted U21 Final
  20. Where were you Peter?Had to work i guess..... As ever a rain affected meeting.Practice called off yesterday as well.Lucky to get through the meeting really. The heavens opened up and it was last chance saloon as they scraped the slime off.Track staff told ref Jim Lawrence if it rain any more they wouldn't be able to do anything after the last couple of days.A few horrible looking crashes in the early stages.LiGlad and Darcy deffo to blame.Mikkel B looked great in his first heat out.But the rain played a big part.Still some good racing, but only 1,200+ there. Not sure why the had some of the delays they did have with all the rain threatening. But there were some Polish guys filming the meeting for a tv channel,so maybe some footage of the meeting will come to light on the net.....
  21. Fingers crossed for the weather.DSL had a rain-off last night and the weather is supposed to be wet over the next couple of days as well.Nothing worse than travelling all the way up for a wet or rained off meeting
  22. Agree with those sentiments. They done the job on the day,but a GP series? Won't hold my breath
  23. Great stream here also.....i just hope none of the Poles like Pepe, ulamek or Walasek get through....they do nothing and have had a few goes at the GPs
  24. Yes i read about this Alan. They were thinking of doing the same here at the Hamburg football stadium as we had one of the best supported hockey teams in Europe. But i think the costs were prohibitive ...and the team geos from bad to worse each year....
