  1. I think the all time best translation was an article about David Kujawa when he left Newport many years ago.Generally i wonder why people just post a translation and not tidy them up,but this was superb as it was
  2. No,direct from Russian!! And the other funny thing is points -glasses from Russian. So i was wondering what the hell they were going on about at first when a certain rider got 3 glasses from a heat!!!! And we also recently had the translation of Vladivostok into strangely either Peking or Beijing or i think The East.Very strange that it couldn't make its mind up one one or the other...
  3. Pawel Tschajka-Paul Seagulls Think if i remember rightly Peter Kildemand comes out as Peter Source man And anyone with the name Roman usually translates as Novel...from Russian and of course my mate Conkers fell foul of google when translating Vasili from Russian and getting two Ice racers with the unlikely first name of Basil
  4. I must say and i know i will probably get some flack here, but i do wonder why you start threads a day or so before the info is available ,just to say, when the info is available this is where i will post it  It does then smack of trying to be first or why not just start a thread when the info becomes available???? Just saying like
  5. Well simple really.Holsted are hosting the third semi-final of the Euro U21 or U19 still not really sure but i think a few countries are still just sending U19 riders....which should i guess be the Nordic round, but asking which Finns will be there i heard that none will be riding as they have a re-arranged fixture. So was just asking what fixture is stopping the Finns sending any representation, like
  6. And what meeting is it next week that stops any Finns entering the Holsted round of the European Championship?Another round of the Kerplunk Cup? :P
  7. Yes,seen that pic or one like it on the back of sanomat?Passed it on to someone else,so can't check. But i thought it looked great.Just it bears no resemblance to the one Timo had with gaffer tape and edding marker and his own little finland flag etc....not sure i have ever seen a worse one or maybe it should be a work of art in a museum :t:
  8. Just seen Timo Lahti's self-made race jacket for the meeting!!!! I know you told me the Finnish federation was having money problems and wondering whether they could send riders to FIM meetings, but surely they can afford a couple of race jackets f-s-p???? Opinion of course and i respect yours. But if Batchelor is on form then ok,but i thought this season he has been struggling badly. If he has picked up lately then all well and good. But just look at the Poles for instance. For the last few years all we hear is how they have a brilliant bunch of youngsters. But where are they in this line-up?????The same old faces here for me
  9. As always not really an inspiring line-up,but that is speedway.Would have been good to see Ward in there.Just hope that Pavlic doesn't make it with home track advantage.Zagar as well has probably ridden there more than most and he has shown enough times like Bjarne Pedersen or Protasiewicz that he isn't really up to it and hasn't developed since his GP days,so can't see him being any better now. I hope it is Vaculik,LIGlad and Niels who has moved up a level this year from his GP days
  10. So,to sum up 1.Niels 2.LiGlad 3.Watt 4.Walasek 5.Miedzinski I'm not saying it is wrong.I am saying sidney is wrong.Just read what i wrote.....seems a few people are having trouble with reading tonight
  11. I disagree sidney.we always seem to support the plucky loser.Henry Cooper for instance.Chris as well.He ain't up to it but gets support because he isa nice guy and has nicely coloured bikes.....maybe not the last bit
  12. and walasek now Mikkel must wait and see Dunno why we are all writing what everyone can obviously work out,but i'll join in
  13. Agree with you on that.I must have been #2 Scotty fan then I honestly think Chris should give up on any GP ambitions and do Longtrack. He would give the stick man some opposition and probably end up a multi world champ.Think i might have told someone that a few days ago eh?
  14. You didn't.I was just stating a fact. But you did seem to be suggesting he deserved more than he got.How much more i don't know.Although your use of the word "sadly" to the fact he probably won't be in next year suggests you were hoping he would be in one way or another
  15. Yeah,yeah....whatever.Hard fact is someone who only finishes 11th in a semi final doesn't deserve to be in the GPs.
  16. Human Beanpole looks like he will make it barring a disaster :t: f-s-p will be happy
  17. In a word-----Zabik.Or Rempala or Hlib etc......Basically it is too early really to say.I have followed Jepsen Jensen,Mikkel B and Mikkel Michelsen since they were about 12 and they all look good.....terrific even. But will any become World Champ or runner up?Hard to say as there is always someone elsewhere who also looks very good.Poland have had loads of riders who look good at 16,17 and 18 and then don't really go on much.Hampel is the only one over the last decade. What happened to Szombierski or Okoniewski........wait and see.Maybe Robert Lambert will come on the international scene in a couple of years and blow everyone away.maybe Arslan Fayzullin will one or two years after Robert and do the same....
  18. Someone out of the Vojens round as Timo is riding.I think at 14,so that would suggest Hougaard, but i can't say for sure
  19. According to Gregs website it was just a precautionary visit to the hospital. And according to Holsteds site Greg came worse off than Martin. So seems both are then ok
