  1. I didn't mention Finland specifically. But the trend has been that first Norway didn't send anyone to meetings and now Finland over the past few years.Just like in the east you tend to just have Russian,Ulraine and maybe Czech riders turn up to qualis and so you end up with maybe 6 or 7 Russian or Ukrainian riders in a quali as the other riders haven't turned up.I seem to remember that Kevin Wölbert dropped out of representing Germany at one stage as he said he was always sent on a long trip while other riders always seemed to get a home draw
  2. It was becoming harder and harder to justify a Scandinavian round when only Danish + Swedish riders were turning up.It is worrying that the numbers allowed to enter are declining though.
  3. Can only say reading the report from the German language mag,Speedweek that the word "farce" was also used, but more with the Mikkel B+ Davey Watt incident when they both almost came toa stand still.
  4. Can't say i have given it much thought.Don't think you can really compare the two or their situations. But maybe it was a tongue in cheek remark. And of course i will inwardly chuckle if it is
  5. Not going to trawl through lodas of posts, but you did make a point of saying the Doc was pulling darcy's hand this way and that to no ill effects and that the Doc was a hand specialist. Now it seems he couldn't use his hand properly????
  6. Gollob to quit at the end of the season?
  7. I've said it before and i'll say it again.Crap rule, scrap it altogether
  8. Think the qualis will be in Daugavpils + Miskolc....the rumour of the race-off and final being in Prague was maybe made concrete by Paul Bellamy?I didn't hear it .Not heard anything about the other two meetings
  9. Another good grass track win for Zak in Germany yesterday. What with Zak on grass and Robert on shale,we have a couple of good young kids for the future it seems
  10. It's what i said.Or one of the examples, but spook say's you can check that
  11. Next German disaster http://www.inspeed.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11418 Nordseekrabbe is really part of the Katt/Kröger team,so you can see he was getting really upset and it then went over to FB
  12. Nothing said about the human beanpole's latest win?Did see some funny stuff on the net concerning the Germans and their attitude/fitness etc.Wanted to stoke the fires, but resisted as one of the guys is the press man at Brokstedt and don't want to upset him :D
  13. Take your word for it,but how many times have you yourself seen a rider have trouble and then get going again?Think about it...... As for the other bit you sort of answer the question....the people who made the rule never thought it through.I thank you Like Ghostwalker say's,it is sad really that our sport isn't considered exciting enough in itself,it has to think up silly rules to try to make it feel exciting if the points are close......
  14. The rule is a joke and was exposed to all watching......blown out in the open now it has no credibility and you will have to make more stupid rules to keep it in place and try to give it some credibility.Exclude riders who aren't trying......ok,then they fain engine failure or miss the 2 minute warning etc so they don't go the required amount in front......run out of fuel on the last lap etc.....all a farce.the rule is stupid and so are the riders then forced into stupid actions. Why not have itin the GPs as well if it is such a great rule as a fair number of the riders have by now no chance of winning.....let them use jokers in all their rides until they are in with a chance again.... Were the Danes interviewed on tv or in the Star before and mentioned they were in favour of the rule?I don't know. All i know is when the subject came up they said it was rubbish.......
  15. But were they the only tv company showing the SWC?Why wouldn't a Polish or Swedish or Danish tv company have some say?
  16. The Danes were right though....and Lemon making himself out to be a right lemon laughing and saying he thought Watt had engine trouble.......it just showed the sport up to be a joke....
  17. You are getting away from the point here.Of course in individual competition someone can help someone else out.It is unfair, but hard to stop.Same as average manipulation. But this rule actually is there to disadvantage the better team(s).Now anyway as we don't have a one day world final the chances of helping someone become world champ are very minute .Only in the GP qualis could this still be an obvious problem. We have probably all heard about buying heats to become world champ and that is one very big advantage of the GPs.It would also be super if the world team champs would always be the best team and not the one who used a joker to beat the best team-luckily this year the best team did win
  18. Unbelievable.....you want an exciting finish just have one heat or after 19 heats scrap all the points and make ita last heat decider.....or make it that the team in front can't score any and all the other teams can use a joker to get enough points to enable them to win.You are happy every time....unbelievable!!!
  19. Personally not outraged that they were trying to win, just find it farcical that they have to lose to try to ensure that, rather than just going out and winning heats. That is what the rule does and it is unfair that not all teams have the chance to use it.It penalises a team who go out and want to win every heat possible. In a way it encourages a team to under perform and what sport should do that?Crazy
  20. Well certainly agree with you on cricket......still not sure your analogy gives an advantage to the worst team though or punishes the better team Where an advantage is gained there or in any two leg game is in the draw.Just like Sweden had a big advantage over say Poland who are probably or definitely a better team
  21. Ha ha.....i think you have to come up with a rule in football or cricket that gives an advantage to a team that are behind or worse than their opponents.Cricket is strange anyway and might just have such a rule.No idea about that. All i can really see in football is the team that have just had a goal scored against them then have the advantage of starting the match in the centre rather than from their goal where the ball ended.Whereas Basketball for instance i think re-start the game from the goalline or whatever it is called
  22. Don't think your examples are the same really. What they are showing is tactics within fair rules. What we are seeing now is tactics to stop an unfair rule being implemented or try to get it used. The rule is unfair as it helps worse teams and punishes the best team.Crap.Scrap it
  23. And of course what i was saying about a good team and team manager getting more out of riders than was expected, you see the evidence right there over the past week.Hardly anyone was expecting those sort of performances from the young Danes. They rode above expectation........if only we had a manager or riders that could do that
