  1. and walasek now Mikkel must wait and see Dunno why we are all writing what everyone can obviously work out,but i'll join in
  2. Agree with you on that.I must have been #2 Scotty fan then I honestly think Chris should give up on any GP ambitions and do Longtrack. He would give the stick man some opposition and probably end up a multi world champ.Think i might have told someone that a few days ago eh?
  3. You didn't.I was just stating a fact. But you did seem to be suggesting he deserved more than he got.How much more i don't know.Although your use of the word "sadly" to the fact he probably won't be in next year suggests you were hoping he would be in one way or another
  4. Yeah,yeah....whatever.Hard fact is someone who only finishes 11th in a semi final doesn't deserve to be in the GPs.
  5. Human Beanpole looks like he will make it barring a disaster :t: f-s-p will be happy
  6. In a word-----Zabik.Or Rempala or Hlib etc......Basically it is too early really to say.I have followed Jepsen Jensen,Mikkel B and Mikkel Michelsen since they were about 12 and they all look good.....terrific even. But will any become World Champ or runner up?Hard to say as there is always someone elsewhere who also looks very good.Poland have had loads of riders who look good at 16,17 and 18 and then don't really go on much.Hampel is the only one over the last decade. What happened to Szombierski or Okoniewski........wait and see.Maybe Robert Lambert will come on the international scene in a couple of years and blow everyone away.maybe Arslan Fayzullin will one or two years after Robert and do the same....
  7. Someone out of the Vojens round as Timo is riding.I think at 14,so that would suggest Hougaard, but i can't say for sure
  8. According to Gregs website it was just a precautionary visit to the hospital. And according to Holsteds site Greg came worse off than Martin. So seems both are then ok
  9. 'Jinky' Johnstone playing against a very nasty Athletico Madrid spring to mind...
  10. The Managers back then would scare the life out of todays players. Now they are more worried about looking good than discipline.Look at Jogi Löw.Although he does have a good team,i'll give him that the ponce
  11. Bremner,an absolute legend. But you can't mention him and not mention that superb foto with Dave Mackay  Now Dave was hard
  12. Watching the Mikkel interview and looking at the bike brings me to a piece of info i have no idea if it is true or not and knowing Egon probably not But he has posted elsewhere that he 'invented' the disc in the back wheel.Apparently at a Longtrack meet or something he wanted something that would make him stand out from the other 10 or so starters and so put a disc in with a spiral on it that made it look like his wheel was going backwards. He then noticed that it actually had a positive effect on the bike and then others copied his idea......
  13. But on a lighter note i once got a photo of Matej Kus in a Czech psychic magazine. The story went round that Matej had a bad crash when riding in GB and before the crash couldn't speak much english and after was pretty fluent.I had a quite spectacular foto of Matej flying through the air from a meeting in Vojens. This Czech mag used the photo alongside the story.....all ended up well.Hope this does likewise
  14. Was in and out of the kitchen.....but i thought the Nicki interview was before the meeting started???Didn't take any notice of it because of that
  15. I thought he was the cause of the crash tbh
  16. Mikkel Michelsen was quite upset at not being included in the Danish SWC squad.A few of us told him he has to go out and make sure he can't be left out next year.Having followed his career for quite a few years,i feel sure he will make it sooner orlater. And i know Peter S has backed the lad for years. But he needs to do better than that. None other than Erik Gundersen commentating
  17. Seeing as this is speedway rather than beach volleyball i think you are going to have to be far more specific than just "Scary" here.Sort of an all encompasing description with very few exceptions
  18. You would really expect this film to be in Surrey or surrounding areas.Quick bit of research on Sydney Allard shows his company to be based in Clapham. So not far from Wimbledon Speedway and he seemed to have tested cars at Brands Hatch for instance and then got involved in Drag racing at Blackbushe nr Camberley(now there is a speedway link of sorts) and died in Surrey. So would be reasonable to expect this car to have been tested in that area rather than Ireland for example None too flattering, to speedway, piece on the car by someone involved.Although they are saying the film was done at Plough lane http://www.allardreg...r_Spring10c.pdf
  19. Shelbourne Park 1950s http://www.fionnbarcallanan.com/archive-speedway.html
  20. Got the answer to my question on Hans/Sandro.Although they come from the same area of Germany they are not related
  21. Does it? I don't take an awful lot of interest in it,but thought it was one of these meetings where two top scorers are joined by two riders who get through a race-off then it is winner takes all.So you don't have to be the best rider to win it,so you don't have to be a 'form' rider to get a GP wild card.By actually picking a 'form' rider on his 'form' you get a 'form' rider rather than just a rider who goes well on a particular track on a particular night.Or maybe the British Final isn't like that at all and i am mistaken. Then i apologise in advance
  22. They have read the press release wrong........ And look like all they have done is tidy up a google translation...."Push straight up with the Poles" etc http://www.dmusport....=7556&Itemid=66
