  1. Indeed. If only speedway could have stadiums like that. But on the other hand Vojens is available almost once a week for a meeting unlike Cardiff. So we should be thankful for small mercies.Although it would have been better if Ole hadn't have built a stadium on the rain belt lol
  2. Think i saw him last year in the Euro 80cc's didn't i? When does Ahlbom turn 16? And a prediction for the top 3 tomorrow?
  3. What has happened to the "People's choice"? The Danish racecard......and what has happend to the size of the font here?Grrrrrrr
  4. Ach stop moaning....just think,it could have been Paul McCartney
  5. I think you have read it wrong.Like i said with the Andersen case.He could top the scorers, but wouldn't even get a bronze medal as officially his points don't count!!!!!I agree with Pandomonium, that this is all crazy I think you don't contribute that regularly any more tothe Star, but surely you are there every GP and i assume Mr Brodie is as well. You would have thought both of you would actually know this without even having to look it up!!! You are the one conducting the press conferences....i mean giving information out to the world press and you don't know a rider is scoring bucket loads of points, but it count for nothing in the scheme of things.....love this sport
  6. süre minimax has it right yet again.Seem to remember this debate when Hans Andersen was going great guns as a wild card.Bit farcical in a way, that it was possible he would get enough points to be up there on the rostrum, but all his points didn't actually count towards anything official
  7. AC Landshut Devils - 46 1. Martin Smolinski (2*,1,3,2*,1*,1*) - 10+4 2. Renat Gafurov (3,2*,3,2,3,2) - 15+1 3. Patryk Malitowski (1,S/D,1*,0,2) - 4+1 4. Marcel Helfer (3,0,0,0,3,3) - 9 5. Christian Hefenbrock (3,2,2,0,1) - 8 MC Nordstern Stralsund - 38 7. Rafal Okoniewski (1,3,2,2,2,0,0) - 10 8. Mathias Schultz (0,0,-,1,1,2) - 4 9. Mikkael B. Jensen (2,2*,3,3,3,3) - 16+1 10. Niclas Porsing (0,1*,1*,3,1,D/2min) - 6+2 11. Roberto Haupt (1,S/D,1,0) - 2 Which mean both teams battle against each other again in the final.1st leg (03.10) in Landshut.Second leg (06.10) in Stralsund
  8. Germany are supposed to be using Dilger/Hefenbrock....
  9. Surely not all of Glasgow is for sale?Just the parts Paulco frequents!!!!
  10. Speak for yourself when you say "nobody had heard of" Kasper.I was there when he made his debut for poland
  11. The bad news is they don't pay a penny for online stuff, just if you get a pic in the mag......i was reliably informed by my mate Conkers who said he would have been quids in,as they used a 12 pic crash sequence of his online
  12. What's the interest f-s-p?You thinking of going?If so,i might join you
  13. Quite chuffed to see my pic of Patryk Dudek accompanying the online Speedway Star article on the Lendava round. Not that the pic was taken at Lendava. It was actually a Bundesliga meeting in Stralsund, but hey ho
  14. Always on the cards. The 80cc Euro Final due for earlier in the day at Chesty Choker was put back until 18:00 then cancelled(it seems),so weather must be pretty bad there.Must have misunderstood the Norwegian as Frederik Jakobsen is the new champ
  15. Battle of the Brits + of the Mikkels.Looks a very interesting clash Think you'll be on the losing side though Peter
  16. I'd agree,it was a bad advert for speedway in so many ways.Does a lot of damage.....well it would do if there was any non speedway fans watching. And i would doubt really that too many non speedway fans tune in with no idea of what the sport is about. But if they see that as the best the sport can offer then i doubt they will be searching out the fixtures for their local track
  17. Another good result from Robert last night in Güstrow.Finished second, behind Kai Huckenbeck but ahead of Danny Maaßen and the recently returned to speedway René Deddens
  18. A few years ago we would have had pages slagging off Ole Olsen for that track last night!!!What i can't understand is why we can't have improvements made to track prep or to the material?Talking to someone who has been to Italy a few times and he said their idea of track prep was to just chuck water on it.He thought the first time that a mistake had been made, but it is what happens every time.Think it is good that the FIM support the smaller speedway countries, but Italy isn't the place for a GP imo
  19. You guys kill me....Tobi wanted to keep the name of the guy behind this secret.Someone whispered a name in my ear and anyone who knows me know i don't really take much interest in technical things(and rules...ok i admit it)and i had never heard of him and it went in one ear and out the other. But there was something about BMW mentioned. That i do know
  20. Unlikely.Think Stralsund have to win away in Landshut and they will be without Tobi Busch as he has another priority. Can't see Stralsund winning away, but fingers crossed :D
