As George Formby used to say....turned out nice again, hasn't it!
-
Haderslev council turned down Ole's approach for more funding... and to be honest you( and me) would be surprised at how happy the fans will be if Nicki or another Dane wins.Surprises me at times, but they are so partisan that if a Dane wins they will go home extremely happy(and usually extremely drunk) if a Dane wins.regardless of how poor we at home find the racing
-
You are cynical....surprised Ole didn't arrange for a brass band to be playing at 2am outside the riders hotel(the danes obviously tucked up snuggly at home) or a bit of something in their breakfast to get their tummy bubbling

Just my way of thanking someone who puts a lot of time and energy into speedway.I wouldn't go taking everything so serious, that sort of attitude can damage your health.A lot of what you have posted here i have no idea what you are on about and probably very few have enjoy the GP everyone.Hope we have a good 'un

And for anyone staying around over the weekend you could take in a meeting on sunday at Brokstedt(just about an hour away from Vojens).Star 14:00.Line up includes Wölbert,Dilger,Kroner,Kylmäkorpi,Cam Woodward....

I have been to a few wonderfully sunny meetings in Vojens.Mostly 80cc i think. But i do remember going up on a lovely saturday morning for a div 1 meeting and came off the motorway and after a few miles noticed puddles on the road which got worse the closer i got to Vojens. When i got to the track i could see by the lack of activity that the meeting had been called off, turned around and went back out of the Vojens rain belt into the sun again

Wait a couple of years. We have a 14 year old who has this season beaten Kennett,Schlein,Smolinski and Zabik and could very well be German U21 champion in a couple of weeks time......and he is only 14!!!!

Hope the Comets somehow manage to survive.Always thought of them a a fairly decent sized club, remembering the days of the support for Lou Sansom etc at Wimbledon for the Div 2 riders Championship. If they go then it will make it even harder for the surviving northern/scottish clubs. One or two already in trouble themselves.I know from experience that it will have a knock on effect. When Wimbledon closed i didn't go to speedway again for years. And of course i not only attended Wimbledon meetings, but also went to a few meetings at Rye House,Eastbourne,Reading etc as i am sure quite a few did.So all those clubs also lost a part time customer

I think riders are quite quick to tell people that they haven't been payed by clubs.Guess when the tables are turned they can't complain.I remember a big piece on one riders website when they were owed money by Rybnik

Robert Lambert National League Next Year?
iris123 replied to Damon's topic in National League Speedway
I think it is pretty difficult to do that.A lot ofthe time Robert will be at a German track to sign in at 9 am saturday morning or sunday morning. Can he make an NL meeting on a friday night or saturday night and then get to germany for practice the next morning? From talking to the family they travel round in a camper rather than flying over so i can't see it.And anyway when i was talking to them NL just didn't appear to be in their future plans. They were talking about doing meetings in Sweden + Poland more than GB.Not sure how it would all work as i think the Polish junior league rides thursdays.I do think though if they didn't need U15 meetings this year then they won't be looking at NL level for Roberts further development -
Nicki has it down in his calendar Not got time to go through any of the other riders though

Robert Lambert National League Next Year?

What would happen if he becomes German U21 champ without riding in the Bundesliga?Does being a national champion give you an automatically higher assesed average?Like you,i don't think having a 5 point starting average will bother any promoters or the lad himself -
Robert Lambert National League Next Year?

Know what you mean scb.Ok i have already seen him this season, but i am really looking forward to the german U21 final in a couple of weeks where i think Robert will be riding. At least when i talked to his parents some months ago they said he could qualify, and i think from results he must be one of,if notthe best scoring north german U21 rider. So,bring it on If you wanna get a plane over to hamburg,i'll pick you up at the airport and take you to the meeting -
Yes,apart from the two Ukrainian riders, who have been regulars anyway in the Holstebro side. But what is great is that say in the Holsted side they have 4 riders out ofthe 5 that have been with the team quite a long time.Only really Nicolai who is originally an Outrup rider is an outsider i would say, although Patrick did do a few seasons with Fredericia i remember.Porsing and Rasmus Jensen and also Claus Vissing + Henrik as well were long time Holsted riders. And Hans + Kildemand have done many years for Fjelsted and Bjarne the same with Holstebro.Only really Esbjerg have a fairly new team with no long termers. So you really can build up a relationship with the riders
-
Yes.One or two enquiries been made to some of the youngsters that i know of from teams in Britain
-
Good to see the teams ain't packed with foreign riders, but made up mainly of danes
-
