  1. Like others here ,i really enjoyed that one.As i said before,if that is what happens with dodgy silencers then please keep them!!!Not going to comment any more on the AJ/NP incident, but they know what they get when they stick a camera under Nicki's nose straight after such an incident.Have to say that Gollob was taking no prisoners in those last couple of heats.Charging under Lindbäck etc and then closing the door on Holder. If Chris hadn't have shut off then the same thing would have happened to him that happened to AJ imo.Good to hear that AJ is ok.And great to hear that young Robert Lambert finished 4th in a very good meeting yesterday. Our one real hope for the future???
  2. Yup.Everyones opinion tends to be biased one way or the other by past Ha ha...you were the one that brought what others say about posts into this, not me.Nice try on turning the tables though LOL
  3. You seemed to have trouble understanding And it isn't as if you or your posts haven't been criticised today either
  4. Thought i spelt it out quite clearly, but you seem to have a bit of trouble understanding so....you said you believe riders over Bwitcher or presumably anyone who has a different view from you.But on pretty much every broadcast or interview riders don't always share the same opinion. So who do we beilieve? The rider that shares our opinion.I didn't say they were making your opinion up for you, just that you were picking people who share you view and say they are talking the truth.Maybe Bwitcher is or is not an ex rider. That makes no difference to you or me or if he turns out to be an ex rider will you then believe him?3 riders against 1 is hardly a consensus and hardly means they have never done something similar themselves.Ok maybe Louis never did....
  5. Well he said Jonsson got caught up in Nicki's back wheel...didn't ee it quite so clear cut as some on here. When you get a few riders they generally have differing opinions.so your view that a riders opinion is better than someone elses.Which rider do you choose to believe.Simples.Down to which comes closest to your view, but that might not be right.
  6. I would love it to happen.Would be there like a shot, whereas i can't see me ever going to Cardiff.But.......this has to be sold to non speedway fans in numbers to happen, imo. And for that to happen i think you need a homegrown rider who has a good personality and is in the elite in the GP series. At the moment i think the lack of British talent, the anonymity of the sport to the outside world and i also think in all honesty that the top riders being from Poland,Denmark,Sweden etc also makes it hard to sell. Not really in sporting terms sexy or exciting and Greg is getting on a bit even if he comes from one of the sexy countries. One of the few marketable riders is Antonio and although i remember seeing articles about him in papers it probably didn't attract many newcomers.I wonder about that....
  7. I do believe that the minimax extrapolations predicted this though
  8. I think Blazeaway knows it was on Twitter, but wanted to know who from so he could ascertain how credible it is.I mean if it was someone called Parsloes then i think we can ignore it
  9. Yes,but you are the one taking the thread on a sidetrack saying there must be a supplementary reg and then going onto Polish play-offs when it has already been suggested this Svemo agreement has always been in place. But then again i thought there was always an FIM agreement that riders should be released a day before an FIM meeting that wasn't observed by one team this year.I seem to remember one rider having trouble with a PL team
  10. If we are talking about a Svemo agreement then what is the purpose of mentioning Polish play-offs ???
  11. In saying all of this i think we have to look back a few years and there was some controversy when Niels got a wildcard i think for the series and a number of people were saying it should have gone to someone else. The reason suggested to me was that Niels had a very good sponosr(Dansk Metal) and that was the deciding factor. So i guess he can't really be too upset at missing out on this one meeting.I hope he makes it through to the series next year. But it remains to be seen if he will do much better than his previous attempts. And i must make it clear i was and remain a fan of his and wanted him to stay in the series last time as i thought he was making slow progress
  12. I'd agree with all of that, apart from wishing Liglad a mare
  13. You might be righton that.Talk of riding British tracks as a need to develop at this stage is hardly important i think.Who out of all the top riders in the world has needed NL racing to help them develope?Don't think British tracks are any where near as important as they used to be.But as a way of getting used to differing conditions it didn't do Nicki P,Gollob or most other top riders including Holder(maybe next world champ?)riding on the continent or going straight into the PL.Even look at Holta or now Vaculik and they haven't hardly ridden a British track at all and haven't done too bad.I would imagine another year on the continent and then PL would be the way to go.Just maybe he will need a few more meetings and the NL might come in handy that way.Riding on the continent means he is generally only doing one meeting a week or less.He might need a bit more than that next year. But there is also something in not over doing things, just taking it steady and keeping fresh at this age.It didn't do Risager much good joining a team at an early age and burning out doing 50 or 60 meetings a year at 16 years old. Robert is up against a class field this weekend again. Not the sort of test he would get in the NL http://www.speedway.org/renntermine/2012/cloppenburg/index.html
  14. Don't think he will join a NL team next year.Seemed to be very happy with their treatment in Germany and the prospects for the future there. Some might see it as arrogance, but i don't think they see the competition in the NL as being what Robert needs to progress. But things can change. Was in a Europe team against Germany at the weekend and was top scorer....more than Kyle Newman.Think they have made a mistake with hts 7+8 http://www.speedway.org/ergebnisse/2012/berghaupten/index.html
  15. I don't really find your behaviour acceptable, but it isn't illegal.Although i imagine if you carry on what should be a reasonable discussion/thread might end up being locked
  16. Good post Hunty.I think he had good reasons to turn the offer down and IMG/BSI have good reasons to put him in the series next season.Nuff said
  17. I tend to think it was a mix of KevH + Parsloes answers.Talk of New Cross etc don't apply as they closed before this came in or at least Wimbledon made the change.Could be something in the fact that FIM have specifications to be met. Can't remember New Cross ever hosting an FIM meeting anyway
  18. Not at all interested in F1,so that is a sideline.I am talking about speedway.....so why?
  19. Why??? This isn't a pop at you in particular, but a genaral question.....why post a link to a photo of someone breaking their leg or getting badly injured or even worse the links to lee getting killed?Sorry, but i just don't understand it and i make my own decision not to look at any of these things. So i just wonder out of interest why do people look at these things.I mean knowing in advance that someone is injured or killed why then look? What is the interest there?.
  20. I wonder how much difference it would really make if no Brit was in the series.British speedway fans are fairly notorious in supporting foreign riders that ride for their team rather than British riders. And as you say it is only a minority sport. So i doubt a great number of Sky subscribers have been re-subscribing over the past few seasons with the hope of seeing a Brit winning GPs and challenging for the title. So if there happened to be none aprt from a Cardiff wildcard i doubt it would affect Sky's subscriptions too much British speedway fans are a strange phenomenon.I don't know of any other sport where fans support another country or another countries rider/sportsperson over their own country/rider.I don't even see it within our sport in other countries.I don't see danish speedway fans walking around with American or Australian flags etc....nor Polish fans or Swedish fans.So i really don't see that it matters much, but maybe Sky don't realise this phenomenon and expect speedway fans to behave like other sports fans
  21. On the continent we regularly have meetings with 40 or so heats.Used to love it when Kevin Wölbert,Christian Hefenbrock,Tobi Kroner etc were in the U21s.You'd get a 20-odd heat U21 meeting in the morning and then in the afternoon a 20 odd heat Bundesliga meeting
  22. How will comparing their averages show who will be riding longer? iris123
