  1. Well i was talking to one rider involved in an important rain off and he regreted not being more voiciferous in trying to get the meeting raced, which seems to back up your view of things
  2. Some worrying stats there.I didn't actually realise the crowds at Parken had dropped at all,but so far that Vojens had a better attendance!!!!! Must admit i thought Parken was great the coupleof times i attended.......apart from the drunken hooligans .The Polish crowds are also a worry i would say and this has actually been a very exciting GP season and still the crowds are not good
  3. Typical post from you.We have had weather since time began, sometimes it might have been better or worse than now,but we have never had better technology than now.So what has been done to make tracks raceable in poor weather or protect tracks since say the 1960s when meetings used to be run in pretty poor weather and Briggo was saying developments need to be made to make tracks "all weather" ?????
  4. Woffinden might have been injured for the GP qualifiers, but he wasn't injured for the Cardiff GP qualifier ,which just happened to be at his home track ......and he failed to get through!!!!
  5. Like i said i think the real success must be judged by those that follow these three.Actually in the interview this week with Liglad he does give Erik credit, but of course huge credit is given to his father and some credit to ErikI did actually see the kids as they were then riding and can say that they were obvious stars of the future before Erik took control and Liglad even at that stage had a little international following.
  6. Erik is great no doubt about that, but at the moment i think his role is being overstated in the development of Michael Jepsen Jensen,Mikkel Bech and Michelsen for instance. All of them were well on the way to the top before Erik took over.I think Liglad might have been at that time 80cc European Champion.I think it will be the riders that come after these guys and so far with the likes of Kenni Nissen they haven't made much of a mark.......
  7. Exactly.Think there are a number of high quality Danish footballers, cyclists and handballers for example. It isn't as if the only opportunity to participate in sport is 80cc speedway. They also have a fair number of MotoX tracks and produce decent riders i think. One track is actually right next to Esbjergs 80cc track and i think i am right in saying that Nicklas Porsings brother gave up speedway to do MotoX
  8. If his parents came from England then i don't see a problem. In fact this use of English/England is quite endemic abroad.Lost count of the times i have seen the british speedway final talked about as the English Final or Team GB as England. You look at old news reel film from the second world war and Hitler and his cronies were talking about defeating England not Britain........
  9. ha ha...if you believe many on here then every rider gives 100% so they are all triers.........Just imo Jepsen Jensen is a far better trier
  10. Wasn't called back after an unsatisfactory start then?
  11. Not me.I was driving back from Czecho.what happened?
  12. The morons on this forum are people like you who can't have a discussion without name calling just because someone has a different opinion to you, doesn't make them a moron. Can't say i noticed any moronic posts for or against until i read your one
  13. You can see where accusations of 'conflict of interests' can be made though.Really in an ideal world these sort of youth development jobs should be done by independant people, like Erik Gundersen in Denmark.....don't think he has any link to any Danish club?
  14. Think it is a mistake to put Tai in.Only time will tell and my post is here to shove down my throat if i am wrong He only got the wildcard for one reason and that is nationality.Let's see if he is proud to be a Brit.......
  15. Not far away ......with my few words of Finnish. What was that nice red-haired woman in the hotel called again? Kiiita???
  16. Well in Finland we should judge the crowd against Ice Hockey rather than football.....or something called Bandy
  17. I heard that there were problems with the crates for the equipment......seems dimensions were given, then when they found a cheaper shipping company the dimensions of the crates had to be smaller.Hope everything goes well Peter.Have you been practising your Tango?????? Good interview with Liglad about a few things, but relevant to this topic are his thoughts on the cost of the Argentina trip http://www.speedweek.de/news/28936/Die-U21-WM-ist-ein-teures-Pflaster.html
  18. Well the Sanomat contingent stayed in Chrudim But we did have an eventful night in the steakhouse in Pardubice and managed to meet up with Lukas Dryml in time to see "Elvis"
  19. Riders are not happy......lot of promises made that have a year later been "forgotten".Talk among one or two that i spoke to about the Poles dropping like flies because they are not getting enough backing.I think f-s-p and myself have said quite a lot on this subject a year and more ago......
  20. For what it is worth an online poll by the German language magazine,Speedweek came up with the following results Vaculik 139 votes Ward 105 Hampel 99 Jepsen Jensen 84 Woffinden 62 Smolinski 47 Laguta 18 Mikkel Bech 14 U21 world champ 8 Think the Vojens clubs poll of the Danes who should get a wc is a massive victory for Jepsen Jensen.....
  21. Well if he does or doesn't,i would say anyone devastated at the non-appearance(if true) of Bjarne, maybe they would like to mosey down to the Hany Bany music club on saturday night as they are having a Chocolate night.Judging by the poster it looks like sweeter version of womens mud wrestling .Starts at 21:00 and costs 500 thingymajigs
  22. Sorry, but one of the most ridiculous posts i have seen lately.Shows no understanding of sports psycholgy or a GP season if you think a heat at the start of the season has as much impact and pressure as one of the last heats involving two riders going for the title!!!!!Asa cold statistic maybe, but as part of a world championship that statement is crazy to say the very least
  23. Weather looking good(on this site at least),very little rain, but cool.Seems Timo Lahti(the first of the Finnish contingent )has arrived and practised in Prague http://www.wetter.com/wetter_aktuell/wettervorhersage/7_tagesvorhersage/?id=CZ0PA0002
  24. Musielak now out.Injured his shoulder yesterday doing MotoX and season finished
  25. You know he is.If Nicki said it should be all 4 back then that would be used as almost if not 100% evidence, but if Holder said he got lucky, forget it
