  1. Bring it on.Looking forward to this one Don't think it will be the final round.Well hope not anyway as Peter S has booked his ticket to Argentina
  2. Stuha as well.A few more additions? But happy to see the Riss brothers.Would have liked one or two more Danes
  3. Seems a press conference was held today to announce the line-ups ‎12.10 Zlata Stuha L. Bjerre V. Grobauer M. Helfer M. Riss E. Riss K. Pulczinski R. Nagy Vicentin M. Ivacic P. Aspgren K. Piesczek A. Rosen 14.10. 4. Yeah right. We have a few youngsters who seem to be doing great at the moment.Robert,Nathan Greaves,Zach Wajknecht and Adam Ellis to name the most prominent(to me at least). The good thing is they all seem to be taking different routes, which proves no one way is the right way nor does one suit all. What should we do when they get a bit of success?Ignore it?Of course not.But neither does a few words or threads on a forum put untold pressure on any of them.It is though the way that they deal with pressure(and that comes mainly from their own success)that will sort out the also rans from the champions. At some stage they stop turning up to meetings being the rank outsider or one of the spoilers, but they become one of if not the favourite to win.And how they cope with that is the deciding factor. And how they cope with criticism and how they deal with the success. Let us not get too sarky over this and just see how things go.Maybe for varying factors none progress to Elite or GP level.maybe they all do or mabye something in between.Of course we desperately need a top GP standard rider or two.Long time waiting. It is almost getting to the heights of the American search for the Boxing "great white hope". But at least at the moment other riders are having the pressure heaped on them.Sadly none arereally coping that well with it
  5. Yes Woffinden seems to have the Joe Bugner effect on a lot of people. No matter how good he will be he is never going to endear himself to people as much as someone who wear their partiotism on their sleeve and tai their flag to the mast
  6. In the SWC race-off in Sweden Jepsen Jensen was not beaten by one GB rider. That means not by Harris,Nicholls or the two heats that Woffi came up against him
  7. And as far as i remember none of the world U21 rounds have been in Denmark, let alone on the Vojens 80cc track
  8. He might have ridden at Vojens since he was 8,but the track he rode on most of that time is next door to the GP track
  9. Sure Michaels time will come. But if he wins the world U21 championship as well as the Gp at Vojens then that surely say's his time is next year.He is improving at a very good rate and i don't see that next year will be any different.I think by the time 2013 comes he will be in a position that he could be regularly making semi finals and sometimes finals. He might not win another one next year, but i think if he has that world title it will be hard to make the case for anyone else over him.Obviously we will get one though if some Brit is in
  10. Only first from those two heats go through to the final. Then the other 3 race for the next two places in the final
  11. One heat would i guess be for those on 8 pts.Important for the qualified resrve spots next year
  12. two points for puk will be enough.let's see him muck this up.Smoli to win a heat anyone?
  13. Fairly open by the looks of it,with a good chance of one or two duffers getting in......hmmmmm
  14. Maybe Vaculik and Liglad know they have wildcards for next year anyway.Remember back in 2007 at Vojens and the rumour was before the meeting that Kasprzak had a wildcard for 2008 and by the way he rode it seemed to back that rumour up.And of course he was in.....
  15. :blink:Cardiff isn't really ready for Barker on GP night is it?Not sure we want that being exported around the world
  16. Good win for Marcel and super result for Robert. Also both the Riss boys look good as they only had their first speedway meeting at the start of the season and Mark was just a lap and a bit away from winning the title before his bike packed up
  17. If he was doing this for the next generation i just wished he had waited until after the GP Challenge to see if a youngster had just missed out in 4th place and then given his spot to him rather than to AJ who like i said beofre the season started hasn't really developed much after his initial burst into the GPs.Shame really on both counts
  18. Personally not bothered one way or the other with Bomber.Like i have said before,i think he should call it a day with the GPs and go for the Longtrack world title. He would have a decent chance at that.He stands no chance of establishing himself in the GPs now with all the youngsters that will be coming through
  19. Oh,the old Dulwich Hamlet football ground.....remember going there one Boxing day for a derby against Tooting + Mitcham...half the ground was cordoned off for safety as the terracing was what looked like railway sleepers and dirt in between and most of the sleepers were warped and rotting away.Went to the new ground as well once or twice as for a season or so Millwalls reserves played there.
