  1. Typical neck and neck match in the tennis 1-1 and 3-2 in the next set.....
  2. To be honest,i haven't looked.Haven't even looked at the updates from Mallila.Just saw that Mikkel M and Rasmus Jensen were doing well on Peter S' facebook.Other than that i was all geared up for this.Seems everyone is complaining about the tennis...Germany,Scandinavia and Czech republic so far
  3. Same here.Just guessed they were sticking with this double match end then switch to speedway.Hope so.Grill on the terrace, meat on the grill, beer ready to come out of fridge Worried of Hamburg
  4. Yes we shall. This is on live in Germany and just on a normal digital channel that you don't have to pay for and just after the French Open.So i hope lots of people who don't really know the sport tune in and give it a chance.maybe we will see some boost in crowd numbers over the next month.Well that relies on the meeting being good from the start though.Fingers crossed
  5. Well with my record of talent spotting.I did tell Newcastle about Rene Bach and Edinburgh about Kevin Wölbert and i deny any knowledge of Max Dilger and Marcel Helfer But in all honesty it was easy to see Liglad,Mikkel B.Jensen(at the time) and Mikkel Michelsen were looking good
  6. Spot on RocketBen.We are dropping back to the likes of Finland and Czech Republic level. If you look at our youngsters it seems our best prospects have all dona a fair bit of riding abroad.Tai in Australia,Adam Elliss started in France i think and Robert Lambert has been doing a lot of meetings in Germany.Coincidence? You need more than just British track experience to make it these days
  7. You can bet there is some rule against it,even though it seems a sound idea. But there has been a statement out to stifle the rumours, even though what was stated came direct from Robert himself. But King's Lynn have now stated that Robert will be with them for the rest of the season.....when he can make it.And is too young to sign for anyone as an asset anyway, but if it had have all been sorted out before he made his continental commitments he would have been riding all season for Lynn.Which comes a something of a puzzle to me why Lynn didn't get him in the team early enough as they must surely have known of his potential last season. But hey ho, we will see.Just hope no more statements come out that will upset the lad and his family as i remember when i met them that something in the Star from Phil Morris seemed to have really upset them.More care needs to be taken when writing these things i think
  8. That isn't an official site though,so i guess they can call it what they want and be wrong.I have seen the British Final called the English Final on a speedway site before.Doesn't mean it is the English Final
  9. Funny because i thought they did call it something else. Not sure where this European bit came from.On the official site it is "Speedway pairs".On Eurosport they seem to be saying Eurosport pairs,so i have no idea how European came into it http://www.speedwaypairs.com/ As for the reason why no GB.Think it is a sort of 3 way spat between the BSPA who are miffed that no other country backed their super Euro league,BSI/IMG who are miffed that this new polish company have entered the sport and are splashing out big money for this and the European Championship series
  10. Didn't we have an ex-speedway rider who was on tv because of his illness and the people in the tv studio thought speedway was car racing? Do a search of speedway and you often find lots of American auto tracks and also one at least here in germany called lausitz speedway,i think
  11. Could just call the team rest of europe.think there have been a couple such teams entered in FIM events in the recent past anyway
  12. What they meant was Grindsted is part of Billund local authority ,not town, since the changes were made a few years ago,But Grindsted is actually a bigger town than Billund and is one of the destinations on the motorway signs
  13. Not when i went there it wasn't.It was near/in Grindsted.Billund is a bit further away from the track
  14. Already done,so wouldn't worry about it and the rules
  15. Well seeing as he hasn't signed then it must be less than the required number. So,as he say's 'just helping'
  16. So in your expert opinion you could hardly call it a 'climate controlled facility' then. And once a pyramid of shale gets wet i would imagine it would be pretty hard to dry it out at any time, but particularly during winter and spring.Oh well i don't think many can velieve the speedway xtra article that it all works like clockwork and nothing is left to chance.A disaster was though avoided, but Mr Chance came a knocking
  17. Seems some confusion.Robert is stating he is only helping out with a few meetings, not signing for the season
  18. I was imagining it was stored in an annex of the British library with all the rare books or something. This sounds like it was stored at Steptoe & Sons knackers yard.Or would it be Mallet & Son of Newport?
  19. Yes,as Phil stated before...nothing is left to chance....
  20. Well looking back at an earlier quote from Phil i can't believe the shale was not in an environmentally controlled facility because...
  21. Don't know how many times we are going to get stuff like "Just ask Emil if he had any complaints...." As it goes there have in just a short period of time been many complaints about the track from fans who were there.Modern technology and all that new fangled stuff eh!
  22. Track prep isn't an exact art,but we know the one thing they have got sorted is the temp tracks. If it wasn't down to a crazed tractor driver or the silencers it must be a few soppy truck drivers who get the blame, not the organizers.I mean come on honestly....the track wasn't good enough for a practice yesterday so why like i said this morning did they have one today hours before the meeting instead of using the hours to get it sorted, rather than ripped up again?Phil will tell us the truth when he gets back to the hotel
  23. Robert has had a few disappointing results in Germany this year.Last year he was beating some very good riders. This year he seems to be struggling to beat half decent riders.Hope this is a temporary blip.I do remember a good young kid in Denmark who looked very fast but then grew and got left behind and gave up.Be interesting to see how Robert goes in the NL as i hope he blasts all the oppo away.Well apart from the other youngsters like Ellis
