  1. If costs are pretty much the same all over and Denmark is cheap for couriers,i wonder how Poland and Czecho manage to produce a good programme and sell it at a decent price? If anyone was at the Zlata Prilba last year and got a super programme and probably entrance to the meeting for less than a Cardiff programme.Either the Czechs are making a loss or someone at Cardiff is taking the p out of the fans
  2. Not surprising they are expensive in Denmark + Sweden.Expect the same next year in Finland as well. But i wonder why Denmark for printing them?Surely if they are going to be printed abroad somewhere cheaper like Poland or Czech Republic etc can be found?I remember getting a very good programme for the Jancarz Memorial in Gorzow,so it isn't as if they don't have decent printers
  3. Tell us more seeing as i don't listen to Bikerfm.Power struggle?
  4. Of course it wasn't the tennis.Britain always seem to want to do their own thing. The rest of Europe including Poland were watching the tennis.Once that was finished they went to the speedway. What they showed in England or Scotland in the meantime was their own decision, but i guess they couldn't show the speedway until the rest of Europe switched over and they could link into it!!!
  5. Credit where credit is due,Eurosport did have to have commentators in many various languages around Europe.Big task.Sky on the other hand just had to have some english commentators and buggered that up with Ermolenko and the odd(very odd sometimes)interview with Bomber Harris
  6. One of the problems with so many riders i guess.Crap sport anyway,so who cares? As Joonas said "there are only about 30 riders doing the sport".I wonder if there is a sport with a world title that has fewer participants than longtrack? That is discounting sports with a limit on the numbers anyway like F1 Walasek for the Polish wildcard?Or maybe the Ice Racer Knapp?Don't care.Looked at your pics.Lots of "X's" as if pics are missing and some photos of stuff like food.Life is too short to continue
  7. Yes it was i think Norbert Okenga that mentioned something about test matches, but i wasn't fully concentrating,so might have got the wrong end of the stick
  8. Yes.The funniest comment was from trees, who wasn't the least bit interested in the meeting, but watched it anyway just so she could moan about it afterwards!!!!Surely she or one of her neighbours had something that needed painting? As it is i do wonder if this has come at the wrong time.Just when Polish fans are losing interest in the sport and fed up of getting milked for GPs,SWC,U21 meetings,Poland v Rest of the World and now this.Just how many big meetings can polish fans afford to attend i ask my self. And how much interest can they have in the ever increasing amount of meetings?Like i said somewhere before it gets like boxing with an ever increasing number of titles to be won and suddenly the importance of any title drops off.I would like to see onesport get involved in a proper test series or even a tournament like we had in GB back in the early 70s.But the calendar is pretty well full now.How can you fit even more in without lots of riders missing meetings?
  9. It is about pair,so the scoring system favours a good pair, not a brilliant individual. That is part of the problem with speedway. There just isn't enough strength in depth, even for a decent pairs meeting.Like i said the US will be nowhere once Greg goes. You could have Finland, but they only have Joonas really.Ok you could have Germany,Latvia or Ukraine, but they would only be making up the numbers at this level. As for what you could see in GB....well it seems the rest of Europe even Russia by the sounds of it could see the tennis
  10. Like rmc and one or two others have mentioned,i can understand them staying with the tennis until the end.Only natural. They show something for an hour or more, they just can't leave before the end and swap to another sport. It was a small annoyance for us at home, but i do feel sorry for the people in the stadium who had to wait nearly and hour for the meeting to start. If there were families there it isn't very good customer service. It might make fans wary of attending a Eurosport meeting in the future. It certainly would me,as that is one of the things i hate the most about the sport. Not really watched much on the channel, but i did notice they often came back to the tennis late from advert breaks
  11. Fair enough.I was actually talking of mainland Europe and jumping to a conclusion really. As it is available here on freeview and also from the lack of requests on FB for a stream. And when someone in Denmark did request one they were told "it is on Eurosport, you don't need a stream...." Which made me think most if not all other countries had it free like we have here
  12. Thought i heard the commentator tonight saying that onesport had plans to bring back test matches alongside the European Series and the new Best Pairs.Might have misheard. Is this one?
  13. In its defence,it was primetime coverage throughout Europe on a free to air channel, not some subscription thing. That must be a plus.Potential audience i would have thought would be millions and zillions
  14. Yes i think he was.He is an interesting character up to a point.Looking on Facebook and i have seen nothing but criticism for both Egon and the other guy.Not an easy job of course.Egon is a world champion and does have a fairly large ego.Does it go with the title? Not sure on that, but of course to get where he did takes a lot of self confidence and he is loved by the media. He can get onto talk shows and does a lot of intro/promo jobs at motorbike shows.Guess of the other choices Gerd Riss has a reputation of having zero personality and Robert Barth seems to rub people up the wrong way
  15. Egon Müller said he was apologizing for the earlier clash!!! Then it was pointed out that Holder was involved in that........"Oh yes, everything happens so fast in this sport...."Too fast for Egon nowadays
  16. Well it was a start.Maybe one that can be built on,although i have my doubts. Not enough good pairs imo.USA will have nothing much when Greg goes.Hasn't captured the polish fans imagination and that would probably only happen in the world if it gets official FIM recognition and that looks unlikely what with the politics.
  17. Britain just got a slating from the other German commentator saying how they always go against new changes in the sport
  18. Jason Doyle is the next "hot shot" from Australia after Holder and Ward apparently......!!!!
  19. Quality picture, but oh no Egon Müller as co-commentator.Saying Emil was winning when the picture showed him standing in the pits watching his team mates. And saying Gollob was winning when he was at the back, etc
  20. They showed the trophies just now.Hope they don't stay to see them presented to the winners......
  21. Now 5-4 in the tennis.Guess they know this will be finished soon and have started the presentation
