  1. Let's face the facts.....if someone from Newcastle say's a place is bad, then it must be baaaaad
  2. Bit like the policeman who just wandered in and took Darcy's breath test,Phil just wanders in and takes control of the meeting. All very professional I don't think I'll have a bit of that myself this season.Print up me own pass and start checking all the bikes with me tool kit
  3. Tiger Beech George Hunter Ben Barker Rene Bach(which is german for stream)
  4. No place for Dave Cheshire or Denzil Kent here I fear!!!!
  5. Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse.........no wonder promoters and riders think this forum is a place to avoid!!!!Whacko post of the year so far
  6. Not that it is really any business of ours what religion someone is,but there is one top rider who's father was originally a muslim and was buried in traditional muslim fashion
  7. Maybe someone could start up a Facebook group to help Darcy with the fees then?
  8. Was a case here last week.A Red Bull Salzburgh player had been with another club this season and then was signed(maybe on loan) by partner club RB Leipzig.Deal was done, but then wasn't authorised by the German authorities because this was his third club in one season and it was found it wasn't allowed by FIFA.Although the last I heard they were looking into the legalities of this ruling http://www.sport1.de/fussball/2-bundesliga/2015/01/rb-leipzig-rangnick-erklaert-probleme-beim-transfer-von-quaschner
  9. Doubt if I have either.Didn't know Viv well. When I was a teenager my Grandad told me to go to the pits and ask for him and i'd get in for nothing.I just thought it was another of his attempts to wind me up.He was always doing things like try and send me to the hardware shop for a tin of striped paint etc,the old bugger
  10. Can we please just forget all about Darcy for a while and go with the flow here. And spare a thought for the poor bloke in Somerset who has to eat a microwave dinner while Jacques spends all her time on here trying to bait poor old sidney
  11. No.Go and make some more of those bog roll bird feeders woman!!!
  12. I'm not.If I am wrong I admit it,learn and change my opinion.Surely that is neither arrogant or thick.I have today admitted to Norbold I was wrong, although someone is now trying to prove I was right
  13. It isn't really restricting someones earning power with football though.No-one could honestly play for a couple of teams in different countries and anyway they earn quite enough with one club as it is.It is though a big restriction on a riders earning power by restricting them to only two leagues when they might ride in 4 or 5.......Different kettle of fish imo
  14. In a way you are saying he is thick if he carries on with his belief when he is wrong..........
  15. Doesn't really interfere with the Champions League does it?So I guess not
  16. Pity the old Hamburg(er) tracks are now a thing of the past. But there really should be a track in Essen for those riders
  17. If we are talking about food, surely Walter Grubmuller should get a mention
  18. Why not just have a team with crazy names...... Mieczyslaw Polukard Konstantyn Pociejkowicz Gabdrahman Kadirov Zdenek Schneiderwind Manfred Poschenrieder Aki Ala-Riihimaki Barnabas Gyepes
  19. Sadly I can't pin down my first meeting.Too young and no-one collected programmes in my family. Was early 60s at Plough Lane.My mums uncle was Ronnie Moores mechanic and then later machine examiner at Plough Lane and pretty much all the family went from the early days until today. One of my cousins even rode for the Dons in those last years in the NL
  20. I agree with all of that. The trouble is when you consider the German league it is often only 1 or 2 meetings, which in effect are no more than guest bookings or open meetings really.....
  21. In principle the best thing to do.In the short term it might hurt one or two leagues and certainly some riders and fans.It might though gives some riders more chances as at the moment a chosen few are taking up places in most leagues that would be free in future.
  22. Ok.Didn't realise that or maybe forgot it
  23. Was Farndon that good for Coventry?I thought he was the junior rider to the Parker brothers.Long time since I looked at any results,so my memory might be playing tricks, but surely Norman was at the time better? And I would have thought someone like Knudsen certainly was.Ok later he was a star, but at this time wasn't he just a promising rider?
  24. Bit unfair to rate Lee + Knutson higher than Greg imo.No big fan of his and wouldn't rate him that highly in the all time greats of the sport. It is though I guess that exciting riders will get rated higher than so called boring riders of a similar standard. We pay to be entertained and for me riders like Hancock don't give me value for money
