  1. Can't believe Kevin didn't make it.That last heat looked a dead cert for at least 2 points on paper........
  2. Obviously someone is "missing something".You just have to look at the opening post............
  3. We go along this route and half the world was a "great" including Simmo,Jessup,Autrey,Crutcher,Harrfeldt,Walosek. Was Schwartz a great or not and does Harris qualify having ridden in more world championship "finals" than most?
  4. I remember his girlfriend,Rula Lenska lived just round the corner from my school, near Wimbledon Theatre.Think one or maybe both attended speedway at Plough Lane
  5. Please, please put the results out there. We have numerous speedway stattos who have hardly got any sleep since this meeting was run and only a small part of the results was leaked. Or maybe it would be possible to mail them individually to every member apart from Rob Peasley after they have signed a pledge of secrecy?
  6. I know.I have been to one ya know When Kasper Lykke Nielsen turned out for Poland
  7. In all honesty the british final is small fry.Why not hold a Poole v Coventry meeting there? That would draw lodas more than a British final.Or even the world club mickey muse thing?Or talking of mickey mouse why not sort of American football at Wembley style hold a Gorzow v Zielona Gora meeting there......
  8. Has nothing to do with whether the track is spongy today.BSI hire the stadium. They aren't going to run some meeting like the British final a few days before the GP as they have nothing to do with the British final and the British final is a qualifier for the GP.I don't think it is allowed for GP riders to ride on the track a week or so beforehand,so then the British final has to be held elsewhere and earlier than a few days before. It will never happen I imagine this sort of "meeting" is takin place so that if the track is bad they can just call a halt, send the riders home and don't have to worry about refunds for fans, don't have to pay for staff to look after fans and open up part of the stadium etc
  9. The track is very spongy,so I have seen on Facebook Can't see one single chance of having the British Final there. Not one
  10. Not only that it seems the 4tt nations meeting has also been dropped.Used to be a great week of youth speedway from Thursday through to sunday. Now I might pop up for the semi-finals and give the final a miss, instead of going up 4 days in a row...... Think we have been reporting this for years also.Remember asking Gundersen and he said Denmark would stick to what they have as it has shown to have its rewards.Good to see a couple of young Australian riders back.Think the last I saw were Brady Kurtz etc
  11. I'd say that when it was set up there was still a fairly strong contingent of Americans as well as the Australians and possibly one or two decent New Zealanders and a few from the South African region.Nobody could have foreseen the disappearance of Americans at least in the speedway world because at one time they seemed to have dozens of riders coming through the ranks.
  12. Personally if you look back at the history of the European Championship then a few years ago they would be over the moon at 7,500 in a stadium like Torun and millions at home around the world(as Michael Buffer say's) watching live on tv.It was unimaginable as the competition attracted the likes of Gafurov,Dryml,Walasek at was played out in front of a couple of thousand. Now there are crowds better than a lot of GPs and riders on a par with GP riders, regardless of why they are not in the GPs.
  13. I think so.The FIM have been trying to move this onto a new level and drop the 80cc YGT.It seems even Denmark are moving very slowly towards 250.Not sure but is Porsing setting himself up as a 250 dealer
  14. Don't know why you apply that to me,i wasn't thinking of you.In fact the foreign members are generally better than most british guys with their English, ya wally
  15. I don't read many as they are as bad as the FIM ice speedway ones.In fact the English is so bad they could be written by someone on this forum
  16. Think it is great that One Sport are taking on junior meetings and not just trying to take on major money making meetings. They get a lot of flak, but someone told me ayera or so back that BSI seem to be in it for the money whilst One Sport are in it for the fans and the sport. This would seem to back that up imo
  17. Was given the link relatively late and told that it was a secret broadcast which is why I didn't post a link.Only to see that my Russian friend had posted it openly on Facebook!!!! Must have been a translation problem
  18. Sorry I brought this topic back to life now............. Forum was so much better in the old days
  19. Just seen the line-up for a meeting in Austria this Saturday and in the "oldies" event is a certain Walter Grubmüller
  20. Yes I know.Grigori Laguta did have a go and was quite good, but doesn't seem to have raced at least in official events for quite some time now Actually if you don't have a stream you can contact me........ 21. Think Lindbäck should go on that one Oh,it said "abeer" management course a second ago!!!!
  22. Where did I mention anyone getting banned? 30 years ago lot of things happened that are not deemed suitable today. Some might be bad,but personally I think a hell of a lot of progress has been made. The recent vote on gay marriage would have been unthinkable 30 years ago in Ireland.Thank god we have progressed enough that the backward ideas of the catholic church don't hold sway over the masses any more.If that is what people call pc,then I am happy to be called pc For me if Greg was fined and made to do some work in the community against violence, maybe with children then that would be a decent idea
  23. There is no livestream.Watched the Russian Championship semi-final a couple of days ago,but today there is nowt just live updates
  24. Bit like the Wealdstone Raider attacking Tyson Fury
