  4. It was more a question I was asking myself. I know it was too difficult for you
  5. Probably so, but with speedway on another track the cards would be shuffled differently. This was the track he knows best I always remember when he was a rising star that he used to be great at Fjelsted and very average elsewhere. Is he returning to those days again
  6. But what is ‘seemed to do well’ ? It is his home track and used to thump the oppo there. So he is either not fully fit or no longer the rider he was
  7. See Sayrio is in Neuenknick the day after
  8. Crikey !! Didn't know he was still going.... used to do the speedway at Wembley way back Anyway, Oxford was the last track i visited in the UK !! Wish them all the best for the future, and maybe i might get to visit again this year or next
  9. British Cycling can today confirm the dates and venues for the 2022 national cycle speedway calendar. This year’s British Club Championships will take place over the weekend of 11 - 12 June in Poole, while the British Individual Championships will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (27 - 29 August) in the Midlands. The Grand Prix Series will once again be built around national event weekends, which will see men and women competing in the same region and no fixture clashes, increasing the number of opportunities for riders to race. The Cycle Speedway World Championships in Australia – which were due to take place in December 2022 – have unfortunately been postponed once more due to the current uncertainty and will now take place in in November 2023. A decision has also been made by the International Cycle Speedway Federation (ICSF) to bring forward the re-arranged European Championships by 12 months, and the event will be staged at Astley and Tyldesley from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July 2022 – a great opportunity for fans and newcomers to the sport to watch top-level international racing here in the UK. Mike Hack, chair of British Cycling’s cycle speedway commission, said: "The full national cycle speedway calendar has now been released, with national events spread across the country. After the complete curtailment of national cycle speedway fixtures in 2020, and a truncated programme held in 2021, here's hoping that we can return to a full programme of national competitions in 2022. “In particular, Scottish club Fife will be hoping that it's third time lucky, as they prepare for their first ever national event staging at Dunfermline, the Home Internationals on Saturday 21 May." 10. But that is not the point. The point was, i doubt the Jack Hobbs Trophy for cricket was played at Plough Lane speedway stadium. Or doyou know different ? And i doubt Jack Hobbs put up a baseball trophy either. Or do you know different ?

  12. No and i don't suppose the cricket was held there or at the speedway stadium
  13. Would the Greyhound meetings also be at Wimbledon ?
  14. Trouble is the more Russians are allowed to compete under different flags etc the more chance things like this might happen. And of course not the first controversial podium display. And innocent Russians take the brunt of it from hotheads https://www.bbc.com/sport/motorsport/61071954
  15. Nice action if i am reading this correct Pop down to one of the sponsors, Kvickly this wednesday between 2 and 6 next week and you can get a free ticket to the Vojens meeting v Holsted Bit too far for me, even though i could make it in time, but would cost me more than buying a ticket
  16. In what way did they use the rules then Steve ?
  17. Results pinched from Jacqueline Drew Kemp made the semi's. Not such a happy day for Leon Flint
  18. Seemed a legitimate statement to make. Doesn’t matter what the crowd was, but how it compares to a normal crowd, not a British one. Where 6,000 would be massive Also the Gorzow junior looks to be well out of his depth. There is throwing riders in at the deep end and throwing riders to the wolves. That sort of thing can’t do the lad much good to be so far behind the rest
  19. 20. Shurely shome mistake there
  21. Another question I see there was a Jack Hobbs Trophy meeting Now i have never heard of him, not being a cricket fan. So looked him up and he was one of the greatest ever in that sport. Seems like he lived locally. Clapham Common etc. Just wondering if this meeting was a one off or whether it was held on a few ocassions ? Second thoughts. Took a look on speedway researcher and guess it was a one off
