  1. The Danes have gone back to a one night final after years of having 2 rounds, because there just isn't the space in the season to get the riders together for more than the one meeting
  2. Have to say the world feed was a bit flat this time without the commentary.Strange how that can affect my viewing as I thought it an average GP But no way would I want to swap watching the best riders in the world up against each other for some Anglo-Nordic Final where 12 of the 16 riders qualify for the next round.......
  3. So was I and it was one of the frustrations of being a Dons fan seeing Todd move on.We didn't really have too many great 'finds' over the years and it was disappointing to see both Todd and Kelvin move on after such a short period of time. But being a Millwall supporter I was used to that sort of thing happening
  4. I guess he stayed in Denmark after the U21 meeting at Holsted.Could well have come down with something and might not be 100% fit then
  5. Most people on here are miserable old buggers(me included) and the product isn't aimed at us,so we can't see the point of it But,the company is pretty successful, seems to know how to market its drink and pumps money into our sport.I am not going to buy the stuff, just like I don't generally pick up a bar of chocolate r anything that is put next to the tills at the supermarket. But enough people must do to make it worthwhile. It is business and Hancock is in the sport to make money, not to entertain us as he obviously doesn't when he pokes that can in the frame.Sure there are a number of riders who would like to have his contract and so he tries to do his best for himself and the company Most riders have little of importance or interest to say when interviewed, and it is quite easy to turn away from the screen for a minute and go and do something lmore exciting instead
  6. Is Fricke sick or injured?Just that I saw something on FB that he was in hospital in Denmark last week.Maybe got the wrong end of the stick though
  7. They never have the balls to name anyone.Just like Mads came out and accused riders of cheating without naming anyone. If they have proof why not do something about it........
  8. Can you clarify for me if that is the guy who screams like a kid who's mum won't buy him chocolate when he posts 60 pics from Speedway Star and no-one makes a comment?Or another weirdo?
  9. Yes,thanks.I am sure until you clarified the situation no-one else had a clue what the poster was getting at It is good that you are back after your long absence as there is so much that needs to be clarified For instance on the "Andre Compton...has he retired?" thread someone has posted Now I am sure we are all absolutely clueless as to who this poster is commenting about as there is no name mentioned. Please help us out on this one first
  10. Tai obviously goes to Prague full of confidence now he is back on top.Not a track Holder has a great record at,so Tai must be thinking he can pull out a bit of a lead from the rest.Janowski looks for me to be the possible main threat, although Hancock was surprisingly fast and going past people yesterday. The old boy keeps on surprising me
  11. OF course Philip.I am just trying to show the difference between countries that are very partisan and the British scene where many fans will support foreign riders and are fair in their support for a good race.Being in the crowd at Vojens or Parken you see the people are just interested in their guys bashing the rest of the world
  12. A plea to the good people of Penge....lock him up in the stocks again and pelt him with rotten fruit and vegetables for another couple of months.Pleeeeeze
  13. Find the Danes totally partisan.Only really interested in their own riders Even the report today calls the meeting a "fiasco" for Denmark.Mostly concentrating on how poor the Danish riders were and how slow Nickis bikes seemed http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/motorsport/speedway/dansk-speedway-krig-og-roed-hvid-fiasko-i-horsens/6133594
  14. It was Trooping the Colour today.Think Chris has been celebrating a bit too much, but you got to be proud of him busting a gut out there.Bet that tai didn't even know it was the Queens birthday or anything
  15. Bad luck. The speedway has been great so far and as an extra bonus the start girls are for some reason topless. But you ain't missing much other than that
  16. Someone asked for a youtube link and I provided one.Like you point out there are ways of watching it.I thank you
  17. I am watching it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6-6NXVEp-w&feature=youtu.be weather looks good, crowd doesn't.Hope for a late rush to get in and some great speedway
  18. Thought Leon became a bit of an outsider the day he was accused of cheating. After that he never seemed to get much from the DMU.Was he ever picked for the Danish SWC teams after that?Honestly can't remember, but Klindt and Hougaard and others have
  19. Think it depends, like others have said on the quality and length of service. You would I think need to be invited back. Not sure a prime minister can just turn up and walk around 10 Downing St just because they used to work there and not sure just because I used to work on London Buses that I can expect a free ride or a free basket of goodies because I worked at Tesco's for a year or two when I was a student...... Some ex footballers do 'work' meeting and greeting VIPs,but others have to pay to get in.Shock and horror I think even priests have to pay to get into Celtic Park nowadays after decades of it being free for any priest to get in Clubs could do an ex-riders night though, where anyone who rode for them gets in free and punters know there will be many in attendance. That could be an added attraction, possibly on a night when the visiting team isn't likely to pull in a great crowd
  20. This is where the sport gets a bad reputation for nothing.Riders are asked but don't have bikes in the country and couldn't make it to the meeting. We know that for sure
  21. Daimler are going to present their new car in October at the Paris show which will be able to do 500km(300 miles)
  22. Think there was a bust up some years back when Robert Barth was German team manager and was told he had to pay to get into a meeting!!!
  23. It's coming soon.....the European Electric Speedway League http://www.electric-speedway.com/e-speedway-liga/index.php or is it.......pfft!
  24. Happens often.Didn't Nicki complain a season or 2 ago that he was being forced to ride for his team when he was unfit?
