Of course it is It is part of the modern world. Money talks But these sort of things aren't new to speedway.....we have the wc previously and given to riders who failed to qualify and people asked why they got in or why there should even be a wc. Should i mention Chris 'bomber' Harris at this point ?

What sort of fan do you call yourself if you don't even understand the simple rules of the sport ? -

As mentioned often enough before, it is worth noting that there are a lot of mistakes on this forum. So while worth visiting, always worth taking things posted there with a pinch of salt. Or at least caution

Can't say i have a favourite programme, but some of the old charicatures, cartoons were great. This one i posted a while back from one i have

I don't think it does actually. And repeating the post again doesn't seem to add anything to this debate either. It would appear to me, you just need attention and want to disrupt things until you are given another ban, and it is taken out of your hands. And i am not usually wrong on th subject of gustix, speedyguy and whoever they call themself

There was, but surely a name like de la Porte isn't double barrelled ? It isn't two different surnames put together. Just a long surname van der Valk or le Tissier etc wouldn't be considered double barrelled, but Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink would be, as it is two family names Even some of the Danish ones are somewhat iffy, as they don't seem to be official names, and it seems they can just swap around from Jesper B. Jensen to Monberg or Mikkel B Jensen to Mikkel Bech etc. Whether they actually go through an official process of changing their name, i am not sure. But it seems often on official documents only one surname is used

Although I do have some stuff that isn’t related to meetings I have been to or riders i have seen, most of my stuff is fairly personal. So I wonder once a collection gets going, does it become something of an obsession?

Report here. Been away most of the past couple of weeks, so missed this thread https://dmusport.dk/danmark-paa-skamlen-i-4-landelandskampen-i-neustadt-donau/?fbclid=IwAR3XQUqWRMY3GsC8dHKnEBdTwSURTh2_hjOfvKeGpjJciDx65aUgFRNM1gA -
I do have quite a lot of memorabilia and a fair amount would be considered favourite But most spcial favourite is i guess my old Dons Olle Nygren rosette, as it is the very first piece of speedway memorabilia my parents bought me

Just an update from me. I am currently sitting on a balcony of a wine producer in Germany looking towards the French border drinking a sample of his wine and watching a beautiful sunset while the crickets are chirping happily away Heaven on earth

Just read that Jimmy Pursey was working at the stadium in the 70’s when he formed the punk band Sham 69 with a few others it seems who were also working there

Out of interest, and off topic, but in that war time season 1942 there is an unattached Candian rider, J. Fergusson listed . Rode in a pairs meeting with Eric Chitty for instance. Any info on the rider at all ?
