I am just pointing out how your football reference is ridiculous.Surely you can see that the sort of thing you are trying to solve just doesn't,'t happen in football and probably any other sport,so bringing football into your solution is a poor example

Stoke City have just started a partnership with my local club in Hamburg.I will tell you what won't happen. If one of St.Pauli's players is scoring a lot of goals Stoke won't be able to say come over to us for a game next week and we will send one of our players over for a game.We will see if you go well and you could play a few more games for us while still having a few games in Germany when we don't need you Total nonsense that doesn't happen.End of

There is no doubt the quality of line-up has dropped over the past 3 years.Certainly from last year to this year a fair bit.Nicki being injured,Emil going to the GPs and now Laguta being banned. We are moving back to how the European Championship used to look before One Sport took over. The future might well be in doubt for this style of series. Not sure how long the contract lasts. That isn't to say you can't get good speedway with such a line up,but i attended the earlier version and know how many it attracted,or should i say,how few. Of course though, the weather takes its toll.I won't even consider leaving the house now for a meeting where the weather is anything less than good.I still wonder about that Güstrow crowd.Numbers from 4,000 to 5,000,but i was at Holsted on wednesday where the crowd was over 4,000 and Güstrow looked far more than that.Bends 1 and 2 at Holsted were sparsely populated and nowhere looked overly crowded

Seems Haertel has a bit of a travel headache now. After Germany qualified for the Euro U21 Final, which is in Poland a day before the Long track round in the Netherlands. Never a problem for Jesper though!!! -

Time To Crack Down On The Aussies?

Think you are comparing apples with pears.Obviously to get rid of a couple of riders at this stage of the season is not easy.Far easier to build a team over the winter without these two.But do you just let riders do what they want because the teams might be weaker without them?Is it right to the fans of a team that when a foreign team with money comes knocking you just let him go?Sounds like you are voting for anarchy.Nice if you are an anarchist, but most speedway fans ain't -
Time To Crack Down On The Aussies?

It is thanks largely to the influence of the Angles and Saxons that we speak the language we do,but we don't let the Germans take the p as a thank you,do we?No we don't -

Same here,i hope this isn't a forced financial sale.Thought Ivan was quite well off financially, but of course an unexpected long term illness can eat into the bank balance if the health system and insurance doesn't cover the amount having to be payed out. On the other side,i am sure this collection will only go to speedway enthusiasts.Guess to most others it is uninteresting and fairly worthless

Looks like the Panthers season is over, a month earlier than last year.....

As I said months ago, don't give them the stepping stone.Let someone else do it or let them get stuck on the other side of the world.Crazy situation now.But it is the same with the Pole who came over and got injured. As soon as he hits form and is wanted back home he will be gone. -

This is probably one of the meetings i have in mind when it comes to riders pulling out because of bad conditions.I think at the time Belle Vue had quite a reputation,so must have been another meeting or two, though i do remember going to Hull for the Briggo fareweel and the conditions weren't great, but if i am correct Belle Vue were the opponents that night. At least i seem to remember the challenge races included Fundin and PC!!

Seen the score sheet and you are right Reserves are Martin Steen Hansen and Sam Jensen -
You could add those riders who were sent to a club they didn't want to ride for.Ole Olsen for one refused a move somewhere that the BSPA said he would go to Plus Wimbledon promoter Ronnie Greene telling reigning world champion Barry Briggs he wouldn't be allowed to defend the title if he didn't ride for Wimbledon.......

Ulrich Østergaard is now in the 16,haven't seen who the reserves will be.Whether Jesper Søgaard and Martin Steen Hansen move up or others -
You could also go back many years to the Vic Duggan Golden Helmet scandal Think there is a thread abut it in years gone by

I see the FIME have decided to go with a race average to decide who goes through in the Euro team U21 and not the best 2nd placed score.Sweden got an average of 1.5 from daugavpils,so Germany or whoever finishs second in the other semi final have to match or beat that.Germany only have to match that average as they have a better ranking having finished ahead of Sweden in last years comp.Seems a better way of deciding?
