Think that was a mistake to put Cook in,even though Denmark aren't too good.Maybe thought it was a good chance to give him a heat, but Lambert was on the pace-Get some points on the board first..... -

Was a very good race.Huckebeck looking good then a wipe out.And will they both be fit enough to get through this meeting, let alone two days?I hope so But this for me was the clash for last place or better -

Others were saying that the ref might exclude a rider for doing that. And that leads to a problem, because in theory you could get excluded for doing exactly what the competition is trying to encourage!!! And the same could happen in the final if one rider is excluded and then a pair coast round knowing they only need to finish to win and then 1 or both get excluded for not trying. These are the silly parts of the sport.I know from seeing a rider get excluded for not trying at an indoor meeting on a dangerous concrete surface.Come to think of it,that was also a 2day event at Kiel and by the second day a number of riders were out injured(think Tobi Kroner broke a leg)and the guy who got excluded was the only rider left in this particular heat!!!! -

Lets face it most of the problems were mentioned on here long ago.We had a decent comp that was replaced. We have 6 or 7 relatively strong countries, there is no getting away from it.Whatever you try the weak countries will still be weak.Sure I said that many countries won’t have a decent U21 rider and if you scrap that it still means many countries won’t have 3 riders on a par with the top countries. Typical speedway trying to solve one problem and walk straight into the next.Speedway just doesn’t have the strength in depth of football and adding more countries into the equation will only show the gap up more than before -

Pretty much agree with that.First interview was ok,but the background noise for the second and the fact that by then I got a bit fed up with the woman and the questions...... You have got to start somewhere though and the opening titles looked slick until the Lakeside bit come up which looked a bit of an amateurish add on.Tie that woman hands up for a starter!!! -

I don’t write them off.Just think they are vulnerable as Phil said, but not only to Sweden if Lindbäck is on fire.We will see over the 2 meetings if anyone gets a5-1 against them or not -

I can see Poland,Sweden and Russia getting 5-1’s against those two and maybe 1 or other team. The main thing is not to drop points against those.Tbh I don’t see us getting a medal, but the positive is I do see us improving over the next few years whereas some of the teams will drop off.So we do look to have a bright future if Bewley and another come along -

Just the way I see it.For the people there, they have paid out a fair whack and it is crap I was thinking of turning off by ht 7,but kept watching for the debate. But I know from experience of trying to get my son interested, that by 4 boring heats he totally lost interest and even if we think others might give it longer, they won't give it that much longer.....Maybe as a couple have said, give this a miss and just have a 2 day final. But the SWC was much a better concept -

Ht 14 was good i'll admit, but ht 15 normal service resumed and is 1 good heat from 15 enough to keep viewers tuned and punters at the stadium happy? -

Not really true. Vastervik last year we had Sweden 37 Russia 30 Latvia 28 Denmark 28 Year before in Vojens we had Poland 39 Denmark 36 Russia 32 and we should remember it would have been better most years if Russia had actually put out their best team...... We have a problem that there aren't that many strong countries and by putting even more weak countries into the meetings isn't going to help the quality -

How on earth it ever got past the idea stage ,i'll never know But surely after this they will have trouble next season attracting tracks to host these meetings and fans to attend, let alone 3 man teams from all these countries.... -

Bit poor so far.Gap between teams is too wide.Normally some of these countries wouldn't get through the quails to meet the better teams, and that was good -

I was just wondering if Krompa thought Gollob had a good ride for his team, otherwise it doesn’t make much sense -

I would agree they shpuldn’ enter if they knew only 2 riders would be there.But...... maybe this was o.k’d by the FIM to get the comp started and maybe one or two countries initially thought they would have 3 riders, but for one reason or the other couldn’t get 3 there. And once in I don’t think you can just drop out anyway without risking a fine or ban.Maybe f-s-p can tell us the situation with Finland, but they have had financial problems of late i think -

Are we talking about a ride that helps your team here, rather than the sense of riding as a pair for the team? -

Which is why I always laugh when people post here that the GP should be held in Pardubice instead of Prague,as if Pardubice have been waiting for years to be able to host one -

You can't always make excuses Phil.....The last time I was there was just after a GP and it looked like they had brought a few garden sheds from B+Q to use as official offices for some of the officials!!People knew what the place was like as it must have been inspected and anyway has by the time of this meeting been used often enough now.And given the likely poor crowd in attendance the tv feed is going to be very important as more are going to watch on tv,so at the very least you have to get that right!!!! But no,along with all the other problems it is known that tv are also going to have a hard time doing the job right Honestly,is it not time to give up or say,we basically have no choice, this is as good as it is going to get.Nobody else wants to host the meetings......... -

On the german forum an estimate of 1,000-1,500 was given and many others mentioning how poor the crowd was....no mention of attendance on the speedweek report from the meeting -

Before the first major meeting at Teterow a few years back I posted here that it was a big mistake because the track imo is terrible.Regardless of it being situated in a field in a failry small town, the racing I have witnessed has been poor to dangerous.I stopped going there after a few meetings, but one or two of my friends from the area told me it had improved since then.So I went to the U21 team qualifier that was in danger of being called off because riders were falling or getting in trouble on one bend.A meeting after that was called off because riders thought the track too dangerous, yet they were awarded big meetings!!! Obviously just because they are willing to pay the money.... The thing Is just down the road at Güstrow they have imo a great track and a better stadium.Only a week or so ago they got 9,000 fans in to watch an individual meeting of no real consequence!!!!.So I as you might imagine disagree with your opinion As an aside to this,i do wonder if Teterow are getting themselves into financial trouble hosting such meetings? This season for the first time they only held their Bergring grasstrack meeting on the 1 day instead of the usual 2,stating the costs were too high etc and I think the falling crowds....And a decade or so ago it was normally the case that the grasstrack weekend funded the club for the season.I'd hate to see the club get into real trouble, but if I remember correctly the Parchim club got into financial trouble with their ambitious plans to host the Longtrack world final that turned out to be a big flop.Yesterdays attendance couldn't have helped Teterow much -

It is a bloody big difference.Someone can win a final, but the rider with the most points wins in the end and that is how it was in the SWC as well. This new innovative comp is just rubbish.Plenty said it before a wheel was turned and after a few wheels it looks even worse that some thought -
