FREE SPEEDWAY THIS WEEKEND 1ST E SPEEWAY EVENT
iris123 replied to piepower's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Same as HenryW, i am interested in your opinion. Sadly i only caught the last 6 or so heats from a whopping 64 !! But going by the commentator, it seemed the 2 females i think on the e bikes were unbeaten until the final. Where they finished behind the fuel bikes Did i misunderstand ? Quite amazing that some fans had the stamina to stand out in the cold watching 64 heats of racing. And the track looked in good shape -
The little i saw, it was fairly poor quality racing. Surprised on the firday that Loheider finished so high up the field, because he was poodling round the bends really. But of course was gifted 3 pts in one heat when he was the only finisher

Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
iris123 replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Has he got a new 5 year plan ? -
He is right though. You are the one who posts rubbish like Russia aren’t going to invade Ukraine. Or Trump really won the election We can see who is the idiot, drunk or sober
-
And this is actually relevant to Blu's previous comment. Because he was actually asked where he got this information from, as it couldn't be found on any normal media outlet. So the assumption, as he never did answer, was as usual some crazy right wing site.....
-
Blu posted this a year ago You posted this a year ago I could go on, as there are plenty of rubbish posts like this as evidence if you want...... Well ok, this one was a classic from Blu
-
But it is mainstream media Einstein. Steve was saying we should look elsewhere for our info. Which is what Orion was replying to. And he was spot on with the source of most of your crazy posts
-
He has actually said he thinks it is all done with actors. He actually said Russia weren’t going to invade it was all western propaganda and more wacky stuff you only get from the idiot corners of the internet
-
Guess it is down to oppo fans to protest to the Home Office then

Klitschko was on tv the other night saying this.....but of course speedway isn't an important sport and i doubt the media will bother. Not sure if Emil has made any sort of comment on the war, but of course he was photographed with one of the rebel leaders of the Night Wolves. But then again, it was just a pic in unknown circumstances. And years ago the Klitschko's were together with Putin.... hey ho https://www.boxingscene.com/wladimir-klitschko-continues-lash-out-ioc-allowing-russian-athletes-2024-olympics--172607

I think the ‘it’s been going on for years’ excuse is looking at it wrong. Times change and so did the news media. You could also say the Royal family were having affairs for years etc. At one time there was nothing in the media about it. Same as all the Hollywood scandals.

More good news for locals, due to their inefficient local government...... The remaining 38 councils have yet to set out their plans. Three councils - Croydon, Thurrock and Slough - have special permission to increase tax above 5%, after effectively declaring bankruptcy.

Good to know. Always sceptical about these things for football or boxing when they say the link is in the comments......
-
Full episode. Link underneath. Not sure if it is a trick though, as i don't want to watch it
-
There is a link on youtube to watch the programme.

Like a Danish version of Keeping up with the Kardashians

As far as i know he gave up around 2010, talking about finances, a new career outside the sport, and the worry of ending up with an injury that would be with him for the rest of his life. Quite possibly the bad injury that paralysed team mate Sönke Petersen the year before might have played on his mind Some riders gave up then came back a few years later. I think Henning Loof, Marcel Limberger are a couple that briefly came back. Mirko Wolter has been back for a few years now. And others like Michael Hertich and Tommy Stange seem to have resisted the comeback so far

By coincidence, i just read elsewhere that Briggo for his Golden Greats meeting at Edinburgh in the 90s wanted to charge all the track staff to get into the meeting they were going to work at, and was told to take a running jump
-
I was a keen cyclist. But more importantly, I was a keen speedway fan. Nowadays even if I was still as fit, I doubt I would have the enthusiasm to ride that far to watch a meeting. Not just to do with speedway, but I also feel less comfortable with all the traffic now
-
Well I used to on occasion ride down to Eastbourne and back on a Sunday. I remember being almost East Grinstead before Eddie Toogood passed me. But he stayed behind a good bit after I left I guess
-
Well i know it was in the week. I remember the horrible bike ride there and back home after work. Of all places, i was happy when i made it to Elephant and Castle roundabout. After that it was easy cycling back home. I somehow felt comfortable being in South London Apparently the first meeting was on a Thursday !! Had Wimbledon moved race day by then ? All seems so long ago
