  1. The problem with the present points limit is that many of the no 2 & 4 riders have an unrealistic green sheets average. Zengi is one & he is close to becoming a 1st string rider but he needs another season. Unfortunately, his average made it impossible to bring him back next season, once Doyle was signed. Hopefully, he will get a season on loan next season in a 1st string position.
  2. But then again, you don't go very often, so it shouldn't affect you too much!
  3. But they also said that riders would be graded, from that I believe they will look at what riding position those points were scored at. In general, riders 2 & 4 had easier rides & as such this will be taken into account. However, we will never truly know how they decide it, because as sure eggs are eggs, that information will not be available to the money spending punters ("mushrooms"), even under the 30 year disclosure rule. You will have more chance of seeing a government's misdemeanours than the BSPA's!
  4. Zengi depends on whether he is being classed as a heat leader, as usual no details of who are being classed as heat leaders & who are 2nd strings. The clubs must know, as how else can they declare riders without that info. Stop treating the fans like mushrooms & let us know. It's not going to change the world by us knowing. With-holding that info could cause people to think that something underhand might be happening. As if that would happen in speedway!
  5. I have never bought a season ticket for speedway. There is so little saving on paying meeting by meeting that once you miss a meeting the saving has gone. Bearing in mind that the season runs through the holiday season, I would have thought that they could do a deal for a ticket to attend say 8 meetings at a reduced price.
  6. That's last season's averages, prior to the rule change & nobody can seem to confirm whether both rider's averages will be based on an assessed PL average. When the details of the AGM were released, this is what it said in the statement released by the Robins. "Plans have already been announced for a 40.5 points limit to cover seven riders, with Fast Track reserve riders to be given averages converted from their Premier League figures for the first time".
  7. The trouble with the "blue tints" is that you are not allowed to remember the past & all their previous demeanours. It must be the sea air, it causes memory loss. If Leigh Adams says you cheated, you cheated, I know who I am likely to believe!!
  8. This season's changes to the reserves is pure madness. Kyle Howarth who had an EL green sheet average of 5.53 riding in the 1 - 5 will presumably start the season at reserve for Wolves with a 4.19 assessed PL average. This lot couldn't run a local kid's football league.
  9. Yes, there's sure to be changes now that Fat Maude has had a chance to study the rules agreed. There seems to be some debate whether it was agreed that both 6 & & 7 riders would get assessed averages after 4 rides, some say it will be only the no 6 rider. Also, what average will the no 7 rider come in on, previously there was no assessed average below 3 & some of the riders would have an assessed PL average lower than 3. Some of the proposed riders would have an assessed PL average of over 4 & could mean that teams lose over 7 points for the reserves out of the proposed team limit.
  10. Yes & the crowd don't follow you! Your glasses are so blue-tinted that they are almost navy blue & stop you seeing the real world!
  11. FTDR is a nonsense now! Kyle Howarth who was riding in the 1 - 5 last season is now a reserve at Wolves. I always thought it was a money saving thing but surely now they must be getting better pay for Kyle to ride at reserve. It almost seems as tho' speedway goes out of it's way to put fans off. I am seriously considering whether they will see my money next season. You won't even see these under the 30 year rule. Even governments are more open than the BSPA!
  12. " But there is the odd decent poster on here,". If you take the word "decent" out of your sentence, you have described yourself perfectly.
  13. What stinks to me is how they have removed last years FTDR list from the final green sheet pages. If you go back to the issue before the final green sheets, it seems that Poole have the 2nd rated rider from the 1st tier & the 2nd rated rider from the 2nd tier. How was this allowed to happen? I can see no logical reason for removing them from the final green sheet listings.
  14. You can tell it's getting close to Halloween, the trolls are out in force.
  15. Yes, missed him like a sore @rse. I don't where he went but wish that he'd stayed there!
  16. Don't hold your breath, the list won't be published before the AGM & I'm sure that those rules will get a tweak rather than be rubber stamped at the AGM. Rosco said in his recent interview that some promoters thought the changes weren't quite right.
  17. I think the point is that he made no attempt to clear the track but was up & smiling as soon as the race was stopped. "That's one for you mate", Holder was out of the GP's if the race had continued. No chance Holder would have beaten PK on the night with the way he was riding.
  18. I think with posts like that, it's the writer that should grow up & stop abusing posters with different views than their own.
  19. Don't you mean "its just some abuse them to their best advantage". I wonder when Hans made a verbal agreement to sign for Poole?
  20. Wouldn't take that as read. I remember a few seasons back when this happened & sides signed riders before the AGM & a certain promoter (who shall remain nameless, got together with a few other promoters & got the points average changed) leaving those clubs in the mire!
  21. You can have the other Aussie - Troy Batchelor! Please, Please, Please take him!
  22. Batch's problem is possibly confidence after the early season crash. When he gates in 1st or 2nd place he's ok but as soon as he is at the rear, he seems to lack the will to attack the rider in front. He may still not be fully fit & that is what is affecting his confidence & I can't help but think that Darcy's accident is on his mind.
  23. To be honest, I think that 2 EDR's should be replaced with 1 EDR & 1 reserve, the reserve earning an average as per the 1- 5s. Any rider that has ridden 2 seasons as an EDR should not be included next season & perhaps an age limit. Riders aged 26 as an EDR is a nonsense. PL should assist & not have priority over an EDR as they were not willing to participate in the EDR system. Not enough riders to go round is a major problem.
