  1. Maybe it's because they have to travel so far to see their speedway this season. Tiredness is kicking in!
  2. This is the Abbey. It has to be cold, I believe it's an unwritten rule by the BSPA. Only 2 warm meetings per season allowed & they must be staged in August.
  3. The three heat leaders for Poole should be Ellis, Andersen & Holder in GSA order, Watt & Buczkowski @ 2 & 4 with Newman & Kurtz @6 & 7. This is line with GSA's as posted on Poole website.
  4. This EDR system is a nightmare this season. It has not been thought out properly. Now Adam Ellis will be riding at the no' 1 spot for Poole from next week, Kurtz into the reserves with Watt & Buczkowski at 2 & 4. With Poole already dominant this season, you might as well give them the trophy now & restart the season with a sensible set of rules. Not Poole's fault but of pure BSPA inability to think things through!
  5. Might help if the riders stopped griping about the track & got on & rode it. It didn't seem to affect Doyle & Wright.
  6. However, if you look at the BSPA website, it shows Auty in the 1 - 5 position & not Starke. Is that an editing error or is it that only one of the EDR riders was eligible to move up while the other EDR rider always remains at reserve? That's not how the rule reads though, yet more confusion.
  7. From the BSPA website, it appears that Auty has been moved into the 1 - 5 although Starke has the highest average. This seems to support the view that only one of the EDR riders can move up & that the other remains permanently in the reserve spot. This is not in line with how the rule is written though.
  8. If the rule means only tier 1 riders can move up, then it is badly written. At the present time the rule, the way it reads means any EDR can move up. What is not clear is what happens if the situation happens where 2 EDR riders have higher averages than riders in the 1-5. I am assuming that only 1 EDR rider at the time can be in the 1-5 & that would be the rider with the highest average.
  9. Very much depends on Wednesday's meeting with Coventry. From what was seen at the Abbey, it looks as tho' both Coventry reserves will be heavily outscored by the Poole duo (Ellis was riding for Coventry). At present Ellis has the highest MA of the Poole duo or are you saying that Uncle Matt will make sure that Newman scores the most points?
  10. You only go because you get in free to sell the Speedway Star!
  11. Surely, they are both guilty of breaching the rules. It would be an offence to sign a contract that doe not comply with the rules & both parties would be expected to know the rules. That's why it is sensible to use a lawyer when signing this type of contract.
  12. Is the Kings Lynn line-up shown on the BSPA website legal? Reading through the new reg's, there is no mention of a club being allowed to have 2 riders sharing a position in the 1 - 3 slot. It seems to say that you can name up to 3 D/U riders but nothing about shared spots in the 1 - 3, or have I missed something?
  13. And the KL fixture is an EL fixture or am I missing something?
  14. It's not just the reserves that there is so much secrecy about! A little over 4 weeks to the start of the season & no details of 2016 rules, no confirmation of GSA's for team so far selected! Is there any chance that these will be confirmed before the end of April?
  15. You could bring King Richard 1st back to lead this crusade & it would still be a waste of time with our council. They are so far up their own rear ends it is unbelievable, they couldn't run a p*ss up in a brewery. They've probably taken lessons from the BSPA! I wouldn't trust them with the discharge from my rear end.
  16. No, it will have to be propped up again as Fat Maude has got too much money invested in it!
  17. Even if it does get built, how long will it be before local residents are complaining about the noise? It seems stupid to me that they didn't look for an alternative site & build on the whole site. Why not approach Lee Power, as he has said that they will not need all of the Four Oaks golf site for their new training ground. Possibly room to fit in a stadium which would be well away from houses!
  18. Don't forget Wibbles wobble but they don't fall down!
  19. There we have it, at last they are admitting it "Matt Ford rules". I always thought he was the secret leader behind the alias that is the BSPA!
  20. What an appalling piece of vocabulary & spelling. I struggle to believe that the standard of education in this country is improving!
  21. What is unexpected about him getting offers? He's not exactly an unknown quantity! Probably more to do with Ford trying to keep clubs away from him, in case he needed to make team changes later!
  22. Has anybody, I've seen some season ticket prices but not noticed any on the day prices. To be honest this looks like a watered down league & can see no reason for a price increase but hey ho, this is speedway. Let the mugs that we are pay too much for a 2nd rate product.
