  1. And it isn't won by performances like that. It's no good saying the trolls are out as it is not the first time this season that they have performed like this. The problems started when we did not get a suitable replacement for North. Yes Tungate scored well at reserve but he is not being paid as a reserve! Whenever he is in the main body of the team, he struggles & last night he was not the only one. It seems this team performs well when their tails are up (just like a robin) but when the chips are down, confidence flies out of the window. If you replace Tungate, it needs to be done now whilst he is on an artificially high average!
  2. I'm not sure it spoils it by knowing too much. It certainly makes for good debate at times but not always " good debate" so much as mud slinging & written abuse of the poster, in certain cases..
  3. Does this only apply to heat 15? Rule book as published shows as :- 15.14.3 Nominations must be a “qualified” rider, determined as either: a) A Top 3 Points Scorer (counting the 4 x Programmed Rides only including Bonus Points) or if one of those Top 3 Point Scorers has already taken 7 Rides, then the 4th highest Points Scorer becomes a “qualified” rider. (NB. No facility is available allowing another rider to be elevated to the qualified list if any of those Top 3 Points Scorers is unavailable due to being withdrawn or has no equipment) OR A rider in the top 3 of that Meeting’s Team by current MA (NB. a Team missing one of their Top 3 and using the RR Facility may use the 4th highest rider by MA). If a rider is disqualified for an offence under Art 15.3 or a non-disqualified rider is unable to take part in a re-run (FN) then the place may be taken by a Reserve or another “qualified” rider. Obviously as this last sentence is in bold, this is a rule change but has it been added in & attached to the wrong rule & means in all heats.
  4. Sorry, Steve you are wrong, he was pulled back for moving in heat 1, then later warned & fined for again moving, then moved again in heat 11. I think ref bottled it because other riders were also moving. Fairly sure you can be disqualified this season for moving in a later heat if you have been previously in an earlier heat. Didn't affect the result tho' as he finished last in heat 11. As I said earlier in this topic, I would have kept the meeting to the Thursday night against a weaker Poole side. Big crowds don't win the league, points do. Get the big crowd in the play-offs. Can't see us picking up any more than 3 points from the next 3 meetings.
  5. You don't see the point of having a rider capable of scoring 21 points in each of 3 meetings! you are only looking at 25 points from the remaining 6 riders to ensure a win.
  6. Not sure that this makes that much difference as you then get Grajczonek & Morris at 2 & 4, which means that they get easier rides. Just hope Morris is out on his 2nd bike from the start.
  7. Still very suspicious about Holder's form. With the stupid rules this season, he could easily carry on scoring like this with Poole remaining in in a play-off place, then his form dips just a little prior to the play-offs & he drops to reserve. Hey-ho, he can now have 7 rides in all 3 p-off meetings, just the way to win the league. Can't understand Ford allowing him to get away with under performing for any other reason. Yes, he's made noises in the press but he hasn't taken any action other than the easy dumping off Watt.
  8. About 25% of the riders that ride in Britain plus another 10% of the world's riders.
  9. I thought this topic was Poole 2016 not the Tai Woffinden show!
  10. I'd rather see Poole have to use 6 pointers like other teams, including us have had to do. No one switched the fixtures for us. I seem to remember we had to go to Belle Vue with a NL rider when Hans was missing!
  11. Look at the BSPA site. it shows an asterix indicating an assessed average. He did not ride enough meetings for Leicester as omly 2015/2016 scores count to average..
  12. Don't think this will make much difference. Rohan is riding with such confidence now & has been beating heat leaders, Justin's confidence will probably grow in the reserve slot. Doyley has been on fire & if Morris goes out on his 2nd bike first, should collect more heat wins. Onwards & upwards for Roscoe's Roobins.
  13. Bjarne is on an assessed average at present & needs one more away meeting, which depending on his score will result in a big drop in his average. I predict that his next away meeting will result in a pathetically low score.
  14. You must live in Dreamland, the only favours he does are to suit Poole. His words I believe as quoted in the Echo!
  15. That's Starman for you. Only Poole can ride well, apart from at Leicester that is!
  16. Well he hit the track literally at the start of last season & wasn't the same rider for most of the rest of the season. It looked as though he had lost his nerve but re-gained it when Darcy arrived but after the tragedy to Darcy, he went backwards again. It will be interesting to see how he starts out at a track that he should know well.
  17. Would Poole do this if the position was reversed. NO! I would not give an inch to them, they agreed the date knowing the Speedway calendar. Use their win at all costs mentality against them & then see if Ford has a re-think!
  18. He is badly bruised from crashes in Poland & Sweden.
  19. There's discussed & disgust, perhaps Chinese whispers. It's obvious if they discussed it, they didn't see the pitfalls. Further more at least the tier 1 EDR riders should have been in their EL av's order for the pick at the AGM, the grading was a joke!
  20. As the delayed start to the season for the Aces proves, they weren't very god at their job!
  21. I have to say that the video of the race on the BSPA site seems to show a very good race with passing.
