  1. Updated averages have not been published on the BSPA website to date. Last GSA posting was 18/7/2018. Averages being posted are 2018 averages & are not used for GSA's. Not sure why the delay as they are due on 23rd but wonder if they are having to re-calculate the GSA's to take account of Rye House's demise.
  2. I can't see the nearby residents being very happy with a tractor continually going round the track when they are trying to sleep. He would be very close to some of the new houses. That's another problem for Swindon with the fixed race nights, dog racing on both Monday & Wednesday, they are not allowed any track preparation while the dog meeting is on.
  3. To be honest, once Rye House left the league, it makes sense that the p/off places are reduced to 3. Personally I thought that would have been the way to go when there was only 8 teams in the league. It never made sense to me when 50% of the teams competing could make the p/offs.
  4. And I can't see many more seasons at the Abbey. The plans are progressing at the speed one has come to expect from GI. I can't imagine that I will live to see the day when GI actually build a new stadium anywhere in the country. It's my belief that the new stadium was never going to happen, once planning permission was given for housing. Let's not forget, it was originally mooted that there would be industrial units built by the stadium.
  5. Can't see how they would get a converted CL average, when they have both a 2017 & 2018 average.
  6. Thursday was the original fixed night agreed with the FIM. It was only changed to Wednesday because of some Championship club failing to agree. They should have stuck to their guns & forced it through. By switching to the Wednesday night, t has caused problems for any club that has Danish riders.
  7. It was not a fan. It was the commercial manager who is the son of the late Bob Kilby.
  8. I thought I read somewhere that he didn't get any loan fee's for the assets that he inherited from Peterborough. Not sure if that is true but it would be a big loss to the club's income if that was true.
  9. Depends what the terms of the lease are. It could be that the maintenance of the track is the Speedways clubs responsibility. I'm guessing that this is the case for Swindon, as the club supply all of the materials & the maintenance is done by a team of volunteers under Ronnie Russell. They have the use of a 2nd tractor supplied by a sponsor & the team maintain all of the equipment.
  10. Correct call by Rosco! Torrential rain from about 3.00pm onwards.
  11. All threads are open to everybody, as you well know.
  12. Surely Starke is in as a re-declaration as Starke's average is way above Neilsen's GSA. That would mean Woryna at reserve as per Wolve's line-up.
  13. And according to the BSPA GSA's published 25-5-2018, BWD is still in the 1 - 5 from 1st June.
  14. All round as a league rider, I would not put Holder in the same league as Leigh Adams.Holder might have been better in the GP,s as Leigh did not have that ruthless streak but in our leagues, Leigh topped the av's for quite a few years. & he was the total team rider who sitting arm chair style guiding home a lesser rider for a 5 - 1. Also at the time, Matt was right that Chris would not get anywhere holding his average for the season. When they were at Kings Lynn, Troy overtook him in the averages. It's not all about loyalty, you have to take the rest of the team into account.
