Excellent. wonder if Crumpie will give it another go. Emil and him would make a good meet. It was cut short last time due to Jason's spill.

Well yes I actually agreed wholeheartedly with Nicki on that particular comment BUT I made no mention of thinking it OK as a) I don't think it OK that this particular ref should manage GPs and b ) whilst agreeing with Pedersen I did not think it OK that he or other riders should make their opinions public with regards officials. The rest of what you posted was as childish as a Pedersen rant and not even worthy of the two year old Nicki emulates when he is brought to account. Not being particularly liberal and certainly no mate of NP I wonder which catagory I should stand. And as for democracy I did think that allowed free expression of opinion and many here think Pedersen was probably innocent of all charges except being human when a camera was shoved in his face in a time of stress. .

This practically makes it impossible to pick a Brit as Jarek, AJ and Vaculik are absolute bankers and also MJJ and Darcy must be included. So 5 names for 4 picks. Hopefully one of them will get through the challenge but also Greg Laguta should be strongly in the mix and lets not forget NKI who has been one of the best riders in the world this year and surely earned a pick. To pick a Brit would be the stupidest thing the GP could do as none of ours are good enough and it would deny a chance to someone more deserving. A pick for Harris would be a disgrace and Scotty has said he would like to try the challenge route. Wuffy will get there eventually as he is good enough to qualify.

For crying out loud Nicki Pedersen is not the AntiChrist he is just a rider who whines a lot when things don't go his way. There would be nothing to moan about if the camera's did not go poking their noses into his face when he was angry. That ref has a long history of stupid decisions in the GPs and Nicki's comment toward him was spot on. He did nothing other riders don't do and his alleged crime against AJ was more to do with AJ going for a gap that wasn't there than Nicki being dirty. The same thing has happened to him when he has dived in where he shouldn't and he was rightly excluded for doing exactly the same thing to a Russian in the SWC. Do I think he should have been excluded? To be honest I am not sure but lean towards no! Regardless of whether you love him or hate him, and I like the rider but the man is a whinger, he had a point about his exclusion, barring the AJ throwing himself into the fence comment, which was stupid and childish. And regarless of what people think he IS under pressure trying to win the world championship and was obviously frustrated and angry to be excluded. This sort of thing happens in speedway and sometimes the guilty party does not express remorse toward the rider carted off the track on a stretcher so singling out Nicki P is daft as he is demonised a lot because the cameras look for a reaction from him knowing he does whine and talk utter nonsense about his innocence and the guilt of the rider he has caused to fall. He is one of the great riders of his generation but has his faults in that he is sometimes too hard and when called to account acts like a two year old. But he is not the only rider to do this and the sport will be lesser for his absence when he eventually hangs up his kevlars.

Nicki did the same thing as AJ to one of the Russians in a SWC and was excluded and moaned that the Russian was at fault. It's standard Nicki no matter what happens it is the other guy. Must admit I think he has a point here as AJ went for the gap and NP did what most riders would do in that position after the last bend. Hard but for me 6 of 1 and half dozen of the other. Don't think Nicki is gonna have an easy night from the crowd.

does that bloke get £1 every time he says 'Poole Pirates'?

enjoyed that see you all for tomorrows match

No speedway on Wednesday there either Hopefully a good Polish one like tonight!

Not a bad match. GP riders at reserve :) makes our sad little league pale into insignificance. Nice to see a bit of Brit interest. What happened to Coolsport?

The important difference is that those 3 countries have riders who can compete for the top places in the GP and even go via the GP challenge route and qualify. Russia and Slovakia have someone who can do both these things but we don't have anyone who can do either. Harris could not even qualify on his home track. Our riders know they will get a pick regardless as to how badly they perform. That surely is the problem! I doubt very much if the inclusion of Chris Harris made that much difference to the viewing figures here other than for the Cardiff event. You hardly even know he is there anyway Hell I would love a Brit to win the bloody thing but watching them stink out the competetion saddens me more than anything else. Let's see us deserve a place first. Tai is the obvious hope for us but even he does not deserve a pick. Harris getting another start would be an absolute disgrace and I am a fan of the bloke.

Leaving the morals of these people aside the series needs people like Ward who is more deserving of a wild card than most of those who have and will be offered one. He is one of the best young riders in the world arrogant or not. The biggest problem I see is the GB factor. Harris has began his whining campaign about how he is the best rider to represent Britain in the series and he will do the qualifier for 2014 if he is left out in 2013. In other words please let me in for 2013! The organisers have to be stronger and just pick riders who will give a decent account of themselves which at present excludes a Brit. Tai will grace the series eventually but let him prove it by at least qualifying. Harris will do what he always does. Have the odd night where he shows what he is capable of but generally stinking out the series whilst whining about bikes, set ups etc. I would love to see a Brit challenging for the top spots but until we start to take the qualifying route and get there by having to earn it we will always be also rans. We have not got a Mark Loram or Gary Havelock anymore and Harris and Nicholls are not fit to clean the steel shoe of riders like that sadly. Tai maybe if he keeps progressing. He has the talent and the ambition so good luck to the lad.

No he has been beaten a few times at home. Hans Andersen did it on TV as did Zengota.

That Jensen is a menace to both teams

British Grand Prix 2012
pandorum replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yeah just under 38000 like 25000. The place holds 72,500 and was no way near half full. I only watch on TV true but I have eyes. Any crowd figures related to speedway in this country should always be viewed with suspicion. Even in the days of the '40000+ crowd I doubt many really believed that. In the decade it's held the SGP I doubt there has been more than 40 on more than 1 or 2 occasions. -

My tip was Greg but I wanted Emil to win if a Brit didn't. So lucky I was not near a betting shop today. Most of the time Harris looked as if he was in the last race never mind the one he was supposed to be in. I have seen faster in the ASDA with people on mobility scooters. If he gets a pick it will be because he is blackmailing someone. But at least Scotty had a go. Unlucky in #12 but never a contender. Good atmosphere but looked a very poor crowd. Surely the 40,000 they usually trawl out will look very suspect. It looked as if 25 would have been a good guess. Holder and Emil was a race 'out of the top drawer' :) How the hell they finished was something of an amazement to me. Congrats to Chris as he was the best rider on display but some great races and the 2nd semi was something. All in all another very good show from Cardiff and enjoyed watching it. -
I just made a shepherds pie so could have done with someone like that. I obviously know nothing about talent as Simon does but the best act I ever saw was Led Zeppelin in the 70s but to be fair I have never seen Flawless and with luck ..... I never will.
