Nothing wrong with that mate. I am sure I speak for the Wednesday Danish racing fans when I say we appreciate you sharing your efforts. I prefer your designs for GP and British Final as I am more traditional and not keen on the European type design.

Cheers for that mate. I put it ( a googe translation) here so anyone interested can check it out. It's an interesting system......not as mad as it seems at first glance Obviously the major change is no longer can riders like Emil, Crump, Hancock ride at 7 as they did last year. Terms Of the Russian League - Like No Other. This week inaugurated the Russian League game, which will take place according to the modified Rules Team Championships in Russia. Excellent mate. Cheers for that. have downloaded it and will watch it in the morning sometime. Hopefully we will have a live stream soon and does anyone actually know what the race format is in Russia and what rules they use? It seems to me that they just make it up as they go along but it's always entertaining on and off the track.
-
Good man. Your race cards are much appreciated as I am sure are the ones the others make. Dunno why some people here try to turn everything into some kind of war. I have used all the other types but do actually prefer yours myself which is no sleight on the others before any crazy people read this

Damn right. We should allow our homegrown riders EVERY opportunity to earn a living as the powers that be seem to do little or nothing to get them support so it should not be expected that they can't ride wherever they get an opportunity to make some money. No wonder the sport is on it's belly here in the Uk with these idiots in charge.
-
shame as I really like the bloke but can't blame him. That leaves 2 spots to fill with less than a lot of riders to fill them. Cook deserves a chance but who would fill the #4 slot. The usual suspects like Kennett, Bridger, Barker have not covered themselves in glory so maybe time to give a new young lad a chance as we have not got a hope in hell of getting to the final even with Scotty. We should have been holding home and away under 21 meetings against teams like Poland, Sweden, Russia, Denmark years ago to try to unearth some talent but the BSPA don't seem to give a toss so we are pretty well doomed to be among the also rans and probably will ;land on Mars before we ever see Team GB even put up a good show in the WTC.
-
Yes to Russian streams mate I like thier thinking as they give the youngsters races against each other then chuck them in at the deep end against much better opposition. If you recall last year there were a few times when the young kids shocked their more experienced bretheren. It builds character in the kids. This probably explains why Denmark have so many world champions.
-
Yeah what the hell happened to him? he used to be a decent rider now he is woeful. Not a bad meeting as these Danish ones usually are. My boys the Ukrainians doing well but not as many swoops around the outside as usual. Jensen is doing well. Not a bad rider that kid.

Perhaps this will replace the UK speedway once SKY bail out next year. It's a sad fact that the company who owns rights to speedway here and Poland seems a little bit less than utterly useless if the sum total of their time running the show has not involved not ONE sponsor for our league racing and nothing in the way of promoting the sport here outside of the very insular speedway world. Polish speedway is very exciting and well supported. I particularly enjoy watching 1st division matches which turn up on youtube sometimes a few days after. The threadbare excitement of EL is put in the shade by the Poles and if that had been on SKY, even as a non live delayed event, I think the sport would have benefitted. Sadly speedway is governed by the stupidest people I have ever seen or heard of being allowed to run a sport. But having been a fan for well over 40 years I have grown used to thier ineptitude which is not a good thing but simply a fact of life where speedway is concerned.

Swedish Elite League Rnd 1 Tuesday 7th May

Non taken in the slightest mate and as both you and Jepsen Jensen said there isn't but just in case they do I would have thought it a courtesy not to mention stuff that might have spoiled their viewing to be. I avoided lots of stuff here re the Russian match and managed to keep the score secret until I saw it a week later. But due to the circumstances just in case anyone was here last night who had not seen it had no intention of mentioning any of the excitement of last night's meeting. But as Jepsen Jensen said there wasn't any. I just consider it a simple courtesy but then I am an old man and just think that way And I meant no offence to Jepsen Jensen either who, unlike many on the EL section, I enjoy reading his posts both the mad ones and the sensible ones. -

Thanks for the links guys but could not get them until near the end as this place was on strike. In the end Sopcast came good. Could not get Coolsport to work. Well I managed to avoid finding the score between the russians and poland for a week but it's a simple courtesy on a thread like this not to do that when you know people would be watching the match a couple of hours later as they might come to the thread to chat and see some idiot had posted the score. It's what sensible people would do. But then you are not actually sensible. -
The Danish speedway on Kanal has two guys who commentate. They talk among themselves during the racing as if they are discussing the price of washing up liquid. Never elevating the racing, which is usually exciting, above the mundane. Nige and Kev get excited and their enthusiasm must rub off with the listener. I dunno why people moan as football, rugby and many other sports have commentators who get excited about what they are watching. John Motson did not 'just commentate'. he got excited sometimes. The two 'morons' have 60 seconds to bring the listener a sense of what is going on at high speed and very noisy. They do well. Steachman is dull, Sam just dribbles endlessly and none of the other stand ins for Kel have done a better job. Maybe people like yourself would be happy if we had Nigel Lawson acommentating as he would not scream like an imbecile. I prefer someone who feels the same as I do about watching speedway.

I have a live stream on sopcast.....I hope! can't speak Polish but they just had a view of the track yep sopcast is live -
The commentators don't really interest me mate. I end up watching half the GPs in polish anyway. But the thread was asking what fans thought of the Eurosport coverage and considering the moaning directed at SKY I personally think their coverage is poor (excluding the world feed with kel and Nige) compared to SKY. The SKY panel was interesting a lot of the times even Sudden Sam sometimes. This bloke droning on at half normal speed is bordering on soporific.

Andrij Karpow Aleksandr Lokajev I like these two in the Danish speedway Holsted look there for the taking. Has the Nicki situatuion meant that they will have trouble covering him with a decent replacement?

Poland Vs Russia On Tv
pandorum replied to michaelcroucher's topic in International World of Speedway
Cheers for that Pawel. I spent all week making sure I did not see the score and watched it today. Enjoyable meeting and both teams can take positives from the meeting. Borodulin made one of the passes of the day swooping around the Old Master. Ilya Chalov really impressed me and he and Borodulin both looked competitive. Russia lost several points simply because they got in each others way when a rider was building up a head of steam. Team riding practice may be worth exploring. Obviously not for the WTC as it does not matter. Artem was dissapointing but Greg is one of the best in the world and surely deserves a SGP wild card. Roman did his job but Russia really need a 4th man for the WTC. For Poland Czaja was impressive and showed he is one of a nice crop of upandcoming riders in the Extra league. I wish we had something like that here. Szczepaniak did a good job and is another upandcomer. Hampel was great but I think he was lucky to finish unbeaten. Gollob! what can you say. Maybe one of the greatest passing manouvers of all time. Absolutely brilliant and my man of the match. The WTC this year could well be interesting as only 3 out of the top teams can get there. Russia are in the mix but need to fire on all cylinders as there is no room for error now the ridiculous rule allows teams like the Czechs into the final when they would not have a hope in Hell of ever getting there on merit. The start line girls were rather distracting especially the Polish cameramans attempts to see what colour underwear they were wearing. -
Not so Phil! Pawel has as much right to question the commitment of Nicki Pedersen as any paying customer. It's his team and he has a right to ask WHY if Nicki's hand was so bad he didn't think to allow his team(s) the opportunity to use rider replacement for him. If this means that he would NOT be allowed to compete in the next GP and he thought he had a fighting chance to appear then it does indeed show what pawel said has some truth to it. If he is too badly hurt to appear in the next GP then his teams and their supporters have every right to be annoyed. I like Nicki but if he did that to my team I would be bloody angry. It is understandable as he has a very good chance of winning the GP this year but it is also understandable that the teams he leaves hamstrung by his actions would be rather miffed.
-
Difficult one for Nicki and maybe the fans are a bit unfair as he still has it in him to win another world title. Unfair to blame him as his replacement Andersson was a huge let down. He is a better rider than that. Only 2 of the 7 performed at home and that's why you lost. Tarnow were not that brilliant except for the top 2 who were awesome.
