True but he seemed a shadow of the world class rider he once was. Dorset was actually a good meeting considering the score
-
Old news Phil. We knew about it well before the Star's scoop. Should be interesting though as I like Ryan in the Polish League. Good to see him back even if it's just short term.
-
Hans Andersen ?????

I have both on. Will watch first 4 heats and if it's anygood the rest but doubt it will even be as good as this pretty dull Danish fare. No Hancock which is a shame but Polle should still dance it.
-
Always a good back up cheers. It just went off for heat 8 mate and was back for #9.
-
what happened in heat 8 gents. Missed that and the score can't be right according to the dyslexic, colourblind, blindfolded, crackhead doing the captions
-
Got nothing now but an exclamation mark anyone else lost it? Maybe he is doing it blindfold for a bet
-
The graphic guy is on crack he gave a 1-5 to Esbjerg as a 4-2 to Fjelsted. Better by Laguta.

Our tracks are usually within a mile of some moaning t##t. Look at Mildenhall. They had complaints about noise and they are next door to a US air base. I can remember sleeping in a tent in the car park and being woken by a Galaxy transport plane which was about (what seemed) 10 foot over my head. What a hell of a noise.

Why do Danish speedway riders always fall on the 4th bend? Their meetings drag on enough without all that Bertha would have nothing to do with such a pack of amateurs. She is a proffesional
-
That's where it would all fall down at the first hurdle. Quality is a word that is beyond this crew of muppets. Over priced garbage is more their forte.

Go Russia Decent line ups so should hopefully be a close affair. Bet it's a damn site more enjoyable than the crap that follows it
-
very enjoyable see you folks for Denmark tomorrow with Artem Laguta. :)

Good meeting. Ljung again in #15?
-
Dave started calling him that in heat 6
-
That is impressive from Dave. It must be hard for English speakers to pronounce some of these riders names and we all are guilty. We had a bit of a debate with Alex Loktaev when he appeared on Danish TV. He used this spelling on the back of his own leathers but both Polish and Danish TV have different spellings. It's a bit of a minefield So that means Bartosz Zmarzlik is pronounced Zmazlik?

Got a nice Brit stream. Hopefully a good meet. We are just about to get started. Pity no Bomber

I didn't say THEY do. That's what I said. Whatever they earn. It's never enough. Most of us don't do a job where an early grave, a really bad limp or a life in a wheelchair is a distinct possibility just so a bunch of people in a stadium or sitting in front of the telly can be entertained. I never mentioned anything about them doing it for our entertainment. They do it to earn a living. And every time they sit on the bike they risk serious injury or death. Look what happened to Roynon just practicing for England. Some of them may well be paid 'well' but as you say what is 'well.' Too many to name who would probably disagree with your assertion. And I don't see what business any of us have to know what the riders are paid but of course it is a debate that many would disagree with my assertion and have every right to do so. Attendance figures and sponsorships of course is another argument but individuals. Not so sure.

Of course sponsorship is different. We fans knowing how much Monster or anybody else for that matter give speedway is certainly no intrusion of privacy. Speedway is probably slightly embarrassed to release these figures as they are probably so low when you compare them to sponsorships in other sports both major and minor. Speedway is certainly a poor relation when it comes to sponsorship. Monster probably don't give much money up front and seduce speedway with talk of a higher profile and some free energy drinks. I would imagine the sports hierachy are just glad when someone notices they exist and buy them lunch

Exactly. Scotty was decent but the other bloke was awful. Kel and Nige get excited about the sport and that rubs off on the viewer. But as people say it's the racing that is important and it was 'out of the top drawer'. BTW that exact phrase was used by Day so it seems old Kel is still an inspiration to budding speedway commentators. I will give the two of them some credit but their performance when Matrin Vaculik lay in a heap was pretty disgraceful. Some very good use of the helmet cam by Eurosport which I enjoyed. Togliatti will be interesting if they manage to attract the locals who love their speedway and Artem Laguta. Could see 4 Russians in the top six next time round. Will be intersting to see how Woffy goes there. Seems to me that the SGP has just gotten a very serious rival. And hopefully such a rivalry will grow and make both of them up their game and benefit all. Artem Laguta is wild card and he will mix it up as he is the master of Togliatti and has beaten many a big name rider there.
