Tough call. Garrity deserves a reserve spot at Cardiff. I hope Barker wins as he is certain to make sparks fly at Cardiff. -
British Final 2014

Barker v Pedersen would be interesting. Good meeting all the riders deserve what they got. Garrity is the most impressive for me. -
Yes but surely you would concede that someone with a long standing reputation as a hard man who kicks out, at someone who has stood up to him, like a girl and then runs away to stand safely behind his colleagues whilst laughing and swearing as the person he kicked out at confronts him again.................. is in fact a big sissy. I think NP was wrong and I like the guy he does not deserve a ban. Maybe a severe talking to or even a tw#t in the mouth as he is getting a bit dangerous. He no longer has a hard man reputation as he is a little coward and his actions were that of a bully with balls of clay. It was just luck that both he and Zagar were able to show that the tough image of speedway riders is perhaps all front as they both fought like a pair of pansies. Jack Millen could have laid them both out on the track and he's dead. If you are going to play the hard man it is an advantage to actually BE one. Nicki showed us all on Saturday what he is

Where Is British Speedway Going.
pandorum replied to mc1874's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Can't argue with that. But wish we had had the POs in the 70s and 80s. The one off World Final had had it's day by the mid 80s the GP format has been a breath of fresh air and as you rightly say far better racing than the old system. People go on about the '81 Penhall final at Wembley but I was there and the racing was in the main poor although the atmosphere was something special. As you say the Euro leagues have grown in stature and as a result our league has become stagnated. Crowds have disappeared and investment in the sport has all but gone with them. The answers are there but nobody in authority seems to care. Racing is the #1 priority for the sport. Who cares if the big names are there if it's exciting to watch. The best matches I ever saw were at the old NL level back in the 70s and 80s. But we all know our sport and realise nobody is listening to the customers. How long before the sport finally arrives at it's destination and realises it's been going nowhere for 20 years -
I am a big Nicki fan but he is either insane or just plain dirty. I remember in the WTC when he tried to pass a Russian on the outside through a gap you could not get a pencil through. The Russian was sent flying and then in a pit interview NP whined that it was the Russians fault and the ref was wrong to exclude him. He has indeed been on the wrong end of decisions but most of his problems are caused by his own actions when he goes in too hard or just tries to get through gaps that are not there. Banning him would be crazy as he is TV gold but he does need a good thumping. His hard man image is just an illusion after he ran away from Zagar on Saturday. Like all bullies he is just a big blowhard coward so next time hopefully someone will lay the bloke out and maybe, just maybe, knock some sense into him. We will miss him when he is gone from the sport but he seriously needs to realise just how dangerous some of the things he does are both for himself and those he does it to. It's a shame as he is one of the few really talented speedway riders

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 6
pandorum replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
caught up with the match via that great Polish guy who puts stuff on youtube Enjoyed it Rospiggarna have a solid side. Be nice if Harris started to ride like he used to though. He wastes too much time on stinking out GPs. Hopefully Eurosport will show the match tomorrow as I would like an English commentary for a change Looking forward to seeing Smederna and that Laguta bloke everyones talking about :) -
Unlike Nicki's kicking Matty like a girl then running away to hide in the pits to laugh and swear at Zagar knowing officials and pit crew were there to protect him. I love watching NP but thought he was a tough character instead he proved he was a blowhard coward whose bark was way worse than any bite he has. Zagar at least had the guts to confront Nicki without hiding behind his pit crew. He needs to work on his punching though.

There was no Quest TV coverage. It was the same programme SKY had and Eurosport show. Quest was just used by Eurosport as a platform to show the GP.

LMAO True though. Most dead people could have made a better fist of a decent punch Still Matty is an ex soldier so perhaps that shows we should not worry about the Slovenian army too much. Still does not detract from the fact Nicki ran away and got himself somewhere where there were people to protect him. Still shows the real NP is a coward

Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?
pandorum replied to Super Blue's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good God man chill out Compared to some of the absolute crap talked on the EL section a bit of NP baiting is small potatoes. And for a change Nicki actually deserves it. What does it matter if promoters take the BSF seriously or not. They would never take any notice if the BSF behaved like the Baptist Tabernacle. Promoters have dragged the sport to the edge of oblivion NOT the BSF. Bit ironic post you made considering your signature -
Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?
pandorum replied to Super Blue's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Agree although I love watching the guy race as he is a superb speedway rider. Showed he was nothing but a bully and a coward yesterday. All mouth and no trousers. Kicked out like a girl and ran for the protection of the pits and his crew. Hard man my arce. He sh#t himself and ran away. Matty should have said to him 'you and me after the meeting somewhere quiet and private'. Nicki's leathers would have weighed an extra couple of stone after Nicki's bowels had gone. An utter coward and a bully that's all Nicki Pedersen is. Hard man image gone in less than 30 seconds last night. He should stick to riding as he is good at that. -
Bit rich fining Zagar but the thing NP lost the most was not 600e but this hard man reputation he thought he had. He kicked out like a little girl and ran for the pits. Big man there telling Matty to f-off and laughing but he was by that time surrounded by his crew and officials so knew he was safe. But out there on the track the big hard man Nicki turned into a quivering jelly and ran away when confronted by a real tough guy like ex soldier Matty. Anyone watching that now knows Nicki is all talk and next time he does that I hope someone decks him on the track as he is a big girls blouse. If he had done that to someone like Jack Millen he would have been wearing his bike as a hat. I love watching Nicki as he is a great rider but his antics are annoying and now we know he is not the hard man he likes to be known for but a bully and a coward. He should stick to riding as he is good at that and cut out the hard man routine as he is nothing but a big blowhard. Great GP nonetheless and Tai may well show what a great rider he is by retaining his title. Good luck to the kid.
