Why would they do this? The top leagues have no problems because of this so why they should care about one of the minor leagues is beyond me British speedway should learn to adapt but sadly is still 30 years behind the top leagues. It's like climate change far too late and simply staving off the inevitable. We will end up with one league at around PL level. Which will probably be the best thing to happen and shake the sport up a bit and start rebuilding the sport from the bottom up.

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 8
pandorum replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
It's matches like this we will miss the Jack and Sam show as Pepe's name would be a subject of much mirth as Sooty and Sweep cock it up time and again. Hoping for an exciting tight match tonight. Rospiggarna getting rid of Harris was a no brainer as he was useless last time he was on TV. Lebedev is a much more reliable rider and they should stick with him and not let harris whine his way back into the team the way he does the SGP He has now been dumped by his top Polish team and now his top Swedish team. He even got dropped by his Polish 1st division team. I used to really like Chris but he spends too much time making excuses. He really needs someone to show him the way back as he used to be a pretty decent man to have in your team instead of the passenger and liability he seems to be nowadays -

How could he be new to it when he said he followed it in the North East in the 70s and was a mate of Tom Leadbitter who as far as I remember was actually a speedway rider and a damn good one. He (Jack not Tom) was a first class idiot and having to turn to Sudden Sam for advice when Sam cannot even remember what his old team mates are called was pretty desperate. Comedic wise they were hilarious and we will miss that pairing but they make the sport look amateurish which it is compared to most but there is no need for Eurosport to rub it in Dave Goddard is a bit dull so I am glad he is not returning to Swedish speedway and look forward to what the new guy makes of the Sweep (Sam) to his Sooty. -
Can't say I have ever heard of the lad but it's always sad when one of those brave sportsmen loses his life. Damn shame

LMAO. I have been to many meetings drunk but they never stopped the meeting It may get to the stage that the only way to get anyone through the turnstiles is trawl the pubs and promise drunken people sexual favours once they get inside. Bit like Hostel with speedway. Is this a new low for our sad sport? What next a blind referee? Oh I forgot

Why not have a million man march on Parliament and demand Nick Clegg saves speedway. After all he has nothing else to do other than make the cabinet tea. Nick could turn out to be the champion we need.

Why would anyone slag you off for an opinion? Oh I forget this is the BSF Seriously though that was half the fun having a good whinge at Jack's buffoonery. He and Sam were comedy gold and the best thing about the last meeting they did together. WE will miss Him -
Exactly. Throw a few out of meetings and fine them and the worst offenders would calm down a bit. There are too few riders to go round as it is to ban people. Ban someone then the same people who moaned about Nicki P would whinge about guests when it happened to their team. Nicki was a knobhead and so was Matty for spitting on him. Slag them off by all means as they deserve it but ban them? That is insane.

Damn I missed the end as I had to go out. Hope Greg is not too badly hurt and can make a comeback soon as he is the best Russia have at the moment. There goes their WTC chances

S W C - Who Will Be Picked For Uk
pandorum replied to michaelcroucher's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I would not waste any more time with Harris as he has too many excuses and will contribute little. Give Cook a go as he has something to prove after his last lamentable performance for England. Maybe give King another spin and stick Barker in as whatever people think of him he at least looks interested in proceedings and will give his all. Tai obviously as he is after all world champion -

Gotta agree with BWitcher we will miss Jack's insanity but we still have Sam so how long Dave will last before he goes insane listening to Sam's dribblings will be interesting to see. And how are we going to find out how old the riders are now? -

I missed the end mate so never saw Greg get crocked. Hope he is OK. Decent meeting with some good racing not just from the usual suspects like Greg, Ulamek and Emil. Emil had a tough time and had to do it the hard way in most races. The start girls kept the crowd amused during the gaps in racing as there was no interval attraction. If they used these girls in Denmark the crowd would have a heart attack The starting marshal was utterly useless as all he did was wave his arms aimlessly with nobody taking the slightest notice then run to the grass with four riders milling around the tapes. The riders sorted themselves out and most times were anything but in a line -
See you in Denmark
-
damn good first race I can't be bothered to watch that racing stream as like you say its too tedious.
-
True our meetings are tired and stale affairs with people just standing around looking bored and nobody tries to entertain them. We have had this conversation on the Russian thread a few times. But British Speedway will never learn sadly.
-
Yeah I saw that. Pretty laughable that anyone would believe such nonsense. Even our EL teams would struggle in any of the top leagues. Looks like the parade is starting so you might see some racing. I will stick with it then come back for Denmark as I always enjoy watching Andy Karpov

Damn all I get is a blank page. got it on my lap top. must need a plug in as my machine just came back from doctors yesterday There is a good crowd mate regardless of how cheep Russian speedway is

How Many Of Us Were Wrong About Tai.?
pandorum replied to stratton's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I thought he would be one of a number of world champs from the young upandcomers. Darcy, Emil and him had that something but never expected what happened last year. One of the most amazing performances in speedway history and he is proving it was no fluke. Good luck to the lad. -
Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?
pandorum replied to Super Blue's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Zagar spitting on him was rather pathetic. Of course Nicki was cowardly by kicking Matty and running off but that's out of order. Punch him by all means as he deserved that but spitting on him was the reaction of another coward. The hard man image of Nicki is now a memory for him as he is a blowhard coward and his whining to the media shows that he may act hard but is a big girls blouse who hides behind his crew when things get tough. But Zagar too deserves contempt for his actions. I like them both as they are great riders but Nicki needs to grow up a bit and accept he is a bit dangerous out there and if he does not curtail his antics he may well seriously injure someone. He has a point that it's not always him as others do the same sometime but he seems to be involved a lot more. Matty needs to grow a pair as spitting is what little kids do. -
Alan it's off mate 'Meeting in Salavat it's rain off ... We will start tomorrow ... Have nice day' from Emils FB page Will tune in tomorrow and see if its a go

Got a great stream but the Russian analyst team look a bit odd. Unless this is the Russian version of Benefit Street

Scottish Speedway And The Independance Vote
pandorum replied to teddy2706's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If it's as difficult for Scotland to naff off from England as it seems to be for Had Enough to leave this forum then we will never be rid of the Blighters Can't they just stop bothering us here in the main part of Great Britain and with luck we will have forgotten they exist by the end of the century. Never understood what use they were to England in the first place as it's always raining there and the Scots have never been grateful for us civilising them and allowing them to use our language and currency. They can now revert to speaking Gaelic and using the 'sheep' as their unit of currency. Any chance of them taking he Welsh with them
