It must be doing him some good as he is #1 at the moment I think all those energy drinks are awful and get most of my energy from drinking gin -

Middlo did have a point about #10 though. 'we are not playing table tennis'. Speedway has always been a contact sport. The ref is not making himself popular with SKY -

SKY could not be more biased if they were wearing blue and white scarves. 2 ref decisions both correct but SKY doing their best to prove him wrong. -
At the start of the season Russia had a possible line up that would have probably danced the WTC. Just shows you that the BSPA are not the stupidest organisation in speedway Gafurov is past his best. Bielousov is decent as is Kudriasov but what about Kulakov and Tarasenko is a better choice than Gizatullin they can't even pick a decent second team I hope they make it but Russian speedway is in a mess

They should have replaced Greg with Tarasenko or to be really radical Woffy. Or give Chris Harris a call as he is doing nothing. -
Danish Gp 28/6
pandorum replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
But that happens in any sport that has a play off system. The first part is qualifying and the second part is about winning the prize. Are you saying that the Championship has no credibility because the team that comes sixth can end up in the Premiership? It is one of the most exciting football leagues in Britain and the teams seem to have no problem with the system. Likewise the SGP is one of the best ideas speedway has ever had. A 15 point max does not guarantee you will end up with a trophy as it just gets you first pick of a gate. The old system was pretty dull as half the field never had a chance and the excitement was pretty much over half way through. The SGP has two levels of excitement as in the champion that day and the overall race for the title. Even Chris Harris provided some excitement yesterday beating Greg in a vital race. I grew up with the old world championships and can see by a mile the SGP is way better. We can learn from the past but living in it is a bit sad -

enjoyed that. Hard luck Batch incredible performance from him. Woffy has been a bit lucky and needs to up his game next time. Well done to NKI giving the Danes something to cheer at last at their home GP -
Surely bonus points reward the achievement. Speedway is pretty unique in that the playing surfaces differ so drastically so surely a good performance on an away surface deserves something better than a pat on the back.
-
The rules of cricket are a lot more confusing. Speedway needed a reward for doing well away but it went a bit far and did it cack handed instead of simple. I don't see why the home team needs a reward for thrashing the opposition but do see why we need a reward for getting within 6 points away as that's a good performance. Aggregate bonus point is a good idea. Sweden use that. Bonus point for an away draw. Good idea. Give teams better tactical options such as what the old tac sub rule gave them. The double point rule does not work and is silly. If your newbie can't fill in a program after a quick explanation by you then may I say your newbie friend is frankly an idiot. Speedway is pretty simple at face value but it's all the rules that are used to allow Poole to win the league that are a bit annoying

Jack Burnicle Out David Rowe In
pandorum replied to oldtimer's topic in International World of Speedway
But Jack had tons of stats at hand regarding riders and such so was he knowledgeable? He had been a speedway fan in the 70s as he said that on his last broadcast. Dave shouts a bit but that seems to be OK but not Nigel when he gets a bit excited. We all have our faves here. I like Nige and Kel who are both knowledgeable about the sport and get excited which I enjoy. Dave was good too and I was fine with his fast talking as he was getting in to it. People laughed at Tony Millard for years and had threads here doing exactly that, so was that OK but not laughing at Jack. It seems very confusing this having a go at commentators lark. Maybe it's just that some people don't like certain people and build up their foibles into some big deal but don't do that when they are talking about someone they like doing pretty much the same. Double standards? Not really it's just human nature. Funny old game speedway -
Belle Vue National Stadium
pandorum replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The star reporter was probably the bloke to your left with the notebook. I never said it was good just better than the star. Speedway has never been a good magazine. I read the star in my local asda and its layout is horrendous and the content is pretty dull too it looks like its been edited by a psychotic -
I find it amusing anyone still believes such nonsense Bit of advice when you get an email from a Nigerian General just ignore it

Not a bad match. I enjoyed watching it Vostok don't have much luck. Losing Laguta last week and now losing Tarasenko in his second ride. They would probably have won if Tarasenko had not gotten hurt and withdrew. Some decent racers in Russia, Vitaly Belousov looked good yesterday. For me they should use Tarasenko as a replacement for Laguta in the SWC and bring in Loktaev as their 4th rider.
-
Cheers mate. Missed first heat but good stream. Martin Vaculik for Mega Lada and Doyley for Vostok. Should be a good meeting. Crowd not as good as in recent years but still a healthy and noisy crowd. Some weird stick waving in the interval to keep the crowd amused

Eddie Kennett is looking good why not give him a go. It will be a laugh at least -
The solutions have been discussed here many times mate but nobody who matters really cares so it's all hot air from us keyboard warriors as we know nowt anyway Going back to basics and starting again for me is the sports best option here as it has squandered the TV bounty and has not a clue how to attract new customers. But to go back to that is probably impossible now sadly. TV now gives the sport nothing at all as the coverage simply reduces the crowd and does nothing to bring in new people as the meetings in dilapidated stadiums look so bland, boring and dull on TV who the hell would want to spend a few valuable hours of their lives at THAT The TV experiment has been a massive failure and UK speedway must be the only sport ever to not profit from what SKY did for it. Cost's increasing, crowds (I use the term loosely here) diminishing, lack of vision for the future, fools in charge. I think the first thing that needs to be done is for speedway to accept that the EL is a failure and stop worrying about how to attract the Holders and Hancock's and figure out how to attract the next generation of both riders and supporters. Frankly I don't think it matters now as the sport has fallen too far and will eventually become an irrelevance here. Damn shame as it's a hell of a sport
-
The sport is too expensive for the riders so they want more. This is passed down to promoters who pass it on to the customer who decide that the sport is not worth the cost and stop going. This means the promoter loses money and increases the cost for the remaining customers whilst cutting back on team strengths to try and save money. These two factors cause the customer to re-evaluate the entertainment against cost and realise that speedway is not giving anything for the extra revenue it demands and so more people stop going. Many that still go pick and choose meetings and many more prefer to watch their team on TV when that is available. So less people mean less revenue to promoters so they increase costs to customers and so the cycle goes on and on. How a dying sport can be run like this is frankly unbelievable. If that is not a recipe for oblivion etc etc. But not to worry the National Stadium is just around the corner and that should solve all of speedways many problems.

Danish League And Ind Final 2015 Streams
pandorum replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Will miss that one due to being drunk in Paris for the anniversary of Jim Morrison's death Might catch a rerun the week after as I have noticed on the schedule they do quite a few reruns of the speedway. Kanal do a great job not only for Danish speedway but fans in general with superb streams and it was great they waited an hour and a half for last nights meeting which was pretty good considering. They are producing a good crop of youngsters over in Denmark and it's a pity that we have not learned from that and given our fast trackers a chance to ride against heat leaders rather than wrapping them in cotton wool with protected heats. The way the Danes do it is very impressive as a format giving young talent the shock of racing against NKI or Nicki P and the chance to learn from that. Obviously they are light years ahead of us in terms of development but there are lessons to be learned from the top leagues for our sad little enterprise that might help a dying product breathe a little better. Sadly we are hampered by little or no vision from those who run our speedway so nothing will happen. We use junior development as a way to save money other countries have junior development at the core of their system little wonder we have none of our so called up and coming talent riding regularly in any of the important leagues. I exclude lambert as he is a product of the German league. -

14 heats in less than 90 minutes. (obviously I am hoping #13 and #14 will happen quickly) Amazing for Denmark as it usually takes about 6 hours Agree with Alan it has been a good meeting considering the conditions
