Poole Pirates Vs Belle Vue Aces 02/08/17
Dickie Head replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If it's not five this week, it will be the following week with Rye 'KK' House the opposition! -
My brother went to the recent meeting when David Wallinger was injured. This resulted in a delay of over an hour. Every resourceful, the Warriors management held some impromptu games for the youngsters to keep them entertained during the stoppage. How many other clubs would have had the gumption to do this? Well done (again) IOW.

To answer my own question, yes the SGP have an official pin badge for each round of the GP.
-
As Chris Holder appears to have burned his boats at KL, how about Poole releasing KK and signing Holder before 31 July even though he is under suspension. Would have to cover a few meetings with a PL 6 pointer(?) but you would have him for the run in and play offs plus his Poland / Sweden teams look to be running down as well so he might welcome it.

As I have had no reply to a question posted on the SGP 'contact us' site, I thought I would ask here. Do any of you good folks know if there are official SGP badges for 2017? In previous seasons a separate badge was issued for each GP so any idea for this year.

Thanks

Could anyone advise on the venue for the Pairs finals in 2000, 2001 and 2002? Thanks.

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 12/07/17
Dickie Head replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Given the universal criticism of the track at the last meeting, I'm surprised their has been no public comment from the Poole management about the steps they have / are / will be taking to sort it out. They must have been speaking to the team to tell them what's happening given the riders adverse comments about it. Go on Matt, shock us all. Put out an official press release with an update. We don't want to rely on the one sided view of Starman telling us motorway blades, heavy duty rollers and twenty tons of fresh shale have been used. Prediction is a four point away win whether Klindt rides or not. -
Campos for Dugard just announced.
-
Like the Belle Vue meeting a month or so ago, Warriors have made a very early call to postpone tomorrow's fixture due to a poor weather forecast.
-
So the new averages are out on the SCB website and if you leave Govier out of the seven they've got nearly 7 points to find another rider. Could be even more punchy and leave out Sealey and have nearly 10 for two riders. Wonder what they're planning.

Poole use Carl Wilkinson for Nicolai Klindt. -
Poole Pirates Vs Wolverhampton Wolves 7/6/17

I'm not sure if Skidder is being serious. Security in the current circumstances is no joking matter. On a lighter note, perhaps the search should be conducted as folks leave the stadium - surrendering the dust and shale that they have accumulated. -
Bad weather being forecast for Tomorrow so meeting postponed according to Barry Bishop on Facebook.
-
Subject to approval, Connor Coles and Kelsey Dugard will replace Nathan Greaves and Rik Mullins according to the Island Facebook.

Wolves V Poole 29/5/17 6 Pm
Dickie Head replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Birmingham now rained off. Fingers crossed for Wolves tonight. -
Greaves still in declared one to seven for the time being and happy to ride when there are no fixture clashes with higher leagues.
-
If Hunter has been binned, the IOW should dive in right away.
-
What injury has George Hunter sustained? Please advise.

I know you shouldn't believe anything you read in the press, but I see yoursportswindon.co.uk are listing the Sprockets as wajtknect, Wallinger, Greenwood, Woolley, Ritchings, Cupitt and Whitmore. That team is currently more than 39 points so is it legal? Secondly given his current average of 6+ why is Cupitt at 6 and not in the 2 to 5? May all change on the night but thought I would ask.

Hoping to do Birmingham at 3 pm and then whip over to Monmore for the double header. Looks like a straight forward Wolves win to me with nowt for the Pirates.
