  1. Wonder how the £25k cost will be financed?
  2. http://www.scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.206.1 Am I reading this right. Only 4 helmet makes/models permitted for FIM events in 2026 to be extended to British Speedway in 2027?
  3. Has Jody Scott been mentioned as the temporary number 7?
  4. I see on Facebook that the supporters club have a quiz planned for 15 January. Full team should be known by then. Should generate some lively discussion between questions.
  5. For what it’s worth, recent posts on Facebook in the past couple of days reveal that Ablitt and Trigger are yet to find Championship places in 2025.
  6. What is the visa situation for the Kennedy boys?
  7. Home for Kyle is now Marlborough in Wiltshire.
  8. Supporters rider of the season 2024. Vote in this link before 1 November. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V8BKFWW
  9. Take this for what it is I.e. simple gossip, but it would appear that the move to track both Thompson twins has broken down as a result of the miscalculation of averages and the Tigers are having to revisit their plans.
  10. Scotty’s X-ray shows a nasty break so best wishes to him for a trouble free and speedy recovery. How will the Cheetahs cover his absence in leg 2? Possibly RR. Everyone would be eligible to take a ride. Might want to keep it in house rather than enlist a guest to ride in meeting that looks like a dead rubber? Out of interest who might be available to guest?
  11. Maybe in your view however I think these two meetings have plenty to offer especially if the Cheetah’s can stay in touch after Wednesday. Pirates will undoubtedly have to prepare to be met with a hostile home fan base and a team desperate to sign off in style and will need all of Ford and Middleditch’s experience to keep them calm, focused and on task. I’m favouring Poole, but only just.
  12. Currently both teams are unchanged although Oxford switch Gilks to 2 with Heeps to 4.
  13. Given the unsettling statement from the Brummies a few minutes ago, should Pirates consider / reconsider their 2025 options? Lawson, Brennan, Cook, Cook and Foord would form the basis of an interesting Premiership team.
  14. If Poole are off on Friday I guess that means they will need to replace Bomber in the restaging as his average goes up on Tuesday.
  15. Dickson shouldn’t have been looking for volunteers. He should be telling his riders who’s going out and why.
  16. Don’t forget the Cheetah’s are looking for two guests as well. They will be just as important.
  17. You’ll be pleased to know it’s not her, however it is another referee who recently courted controversy in the final race at the Championship Pairs where Wright was favoured over Nicholls.
  18. So much rests on the Worky guests. My guess would be Edwards for Claus, Dan Thompson forTate and ideally Pickering for Cook however I’ve been told Picko is concentrating all his weekend efforts on the CLRC so might be Bomber or Wright. Looks like it will go all the way.
  19. Am I right in thinking that by taking guest bookings, Messrs Kerr, Edwards and Flint (and J Thompson at Oxford) are prevented from riding for any other Championship semi-final team should a booking be offered?
  20. Indirectly yes. Saturday 30 March - BSN meeting rained off and re-arranged for the Championship league date of Saturday 25 May. That date was then altered to Saturday 1 June (Plymouth 43 Poole 47) leaving the Championship fixture to be sorted i.e. today.
  21. I would bet Garry has spoken to him. Probably doesn’t fancy a bank holiday Saturday road trip from his East Anglian base to Plymouth especially with a meeting at Worky on the Sunday.
  22. This IOW meeting was the NORA version. The BSPL endorsed version is scheduled for Leicester at the end of this month. Open to all comers and from Overseas as well I believe.
